I could not rate my new Samsung Portable SSD T7 1TB drive because it was write protected.

I love the form factor of this thing. Im not using it for mobile but as an auxiliary drive for my Mac Mini which I got with 256GB so need more storage. This is the perfect solution. Im able to velcro it to the side of the mini mount under my desk since its so light and small. Its quiet and works great. I need to get more since I can then have these silent drives sitting quietly out of the way.

I have now bought two of these, and absolutely love them. They get the job done and work perfectly for any sort of storage — backpack, suitcase, pocket, box, whatever you need. The only issue I noticed is they get extremely hot, but this has not been a problem yet in terms of performance even when working outside on very hot summer days of 115° F. Love these harddrives and they work fantastically, plus they look great.

My Tesla car has a dash cam feature, but the owner has to supply either a flash drive or an SSD to store the video. Flash drives are not recommended, so I got this SSD. I can put my entire music collection on it (to play in the car) and the car can record 4 simultaneous video feeds onto it. Flawless performance. Totally satisfied.

The heat that many mentioned as an issue was there only during the initial file transfer of huge files. When I transferred 500g of files it was hot. However, once the transfer was complete, there was no issue at all with heat, and the speed is very noticably faster. I would recommend this product.

I wanted faster access for external drive and this will do it. Love Samsung!

The connector cord it comes with, or the drive itself, has loose UB-C connections, Move it or touch it while its running, and it sends a drive wasnt ejected properly before shutting it off message. Im returning it. This just doesnt work properly.
