> 3 dayIt’s lightweight and the swivel lets you get into tight spots. However- 2things: 1. It won’t stand on its own. To park it for a minute, you have to click it into upright position(easy) then prop it against a wall on its rubber thingys to keep it from rolling off. 2. Note the height of it. A 5’1 friend wanted to test it out & the long nozzle in the upright position was way to long for her height. I’m 5’7 so it was no issue for me.

> 3 dayThis is a great option for those like the convenience of a stick vacuum and power of a regular full vacuum. I was able to put together and use this vacuum within 5 minutes out of the box! This lightweight vacuum does great on my carpet, rugs and hardwood floors. Perfect for picking up all that holiday glitter and tree or decor fallings around the house. No more having to use my hand or other tools to empty the carpet/dirt debris around either the filter or motor. The XL cup is separate and very easy to detach and empty. The plug in cord is extra long too. Besr part: No more having to wait for recharging to clean my whole house from top to bottom. Lightweight to carry up and down the stairs / around the house with ease. I wish it came with the an accessory clip to hold the 3 cleaning tools but planning to purchase separately for convenience. Other than that, I luv it so far, I am totally happy with my purchase!

> 3 dayI have a big Rainbow vacuum that I use to clean the entire house. I love the Rainbow because it uses water as a filtering medium, so suction remains strong no matter how dirty the filter gets and it effectively gets a new filter every time its used. Its only downside is that its large and bulky, so if I have to vacuum a small section (like, a carpet runner in a hallway) its a bit of an ordeal to take out and set up. My basement has been converted to a space for my teenage daughter. Most of it is bare concrete (epoxy coated) but theres some carpeting here and there. Further, my daughters pet rabbit makes its home in the basement so theres a fair amount of rabbit fur and debris (hay, bits of chewed cardboard, etc) around its area. My daughter has been okay with keeping the floors clean but since the Rainbow is big and bulky it wasnt as good as it should have been. So I went shopping for a small yet effective vacuum to handle this job and this Shark is where I landed. Truthfully I wasnt expecting very much, but after the first use I was shocked by how good it actually is. I wouldnt use it to clean the floors of the whole house (I cant see its nearly-all-plastic construction lasting as long as my 35+ year old Rainbow) but I would absolutely use this for a small apartment. Or, of course, our basement. Assembly was insanely easy. I didnt have to refer to the owners manual for anything, although after I used it I did check it out just to see if I was missing any features (I wasnt). The pieces simply slide and lock into place very securely, and are easy enough to disconnect/disassemble as needed. There are several well-marked, large release latches for this. I particularly liked how the power switch works. For hardwood (or concrete) floors, moving the switch to the first position enables the sweeper on the power head as well as suction, so youre not relying on JUST suction to pick up dirt. For carpeted floors, moving the switch forward enables the beater bar to really get into the carpet fibers. My daughters pet rabbit roams an area of about 250 square feet, of which about half is carpeted and it hadnt been vacuumed in probably a month. After using this vacuum on it for the first time we filled the collection bin with bits of hay and rabbit fur and the carpet looked every bit as clean as when I use the Rainbow on it. The LED lights on the vacuum head is a nice touch, allowing you to more easily see dirt and debris on the floor (just look for the long shadows). Removing the power head doesnt make you blind, however, as theres a second LED on the vacuum motor that lights the area youre working on. The vacuum head isnt very tall at all, and the hose bends down enough to allow absolutely flat operation. Using this I was able to get under low-lying furniture like my daughters desk and the nearby shelf units. Suction power is also very good, and consistent throughout its run. I expected the vacuum to be more like the handheld Dustbuster-type vacs we have in the house where power diminishes very quickly as the filter clogs up, but no. Power stayed consistent and strong even with a pretty sold mass of rabbit fur and straw filling the collection bin. Three things I dont like about it, but are minor things overall. First, it comes with a storage hook cast into the casing which is nice, but the matching hook for the wall is an extra-cost item. Its available on Amazon for an additional $24 or you can get an identical third-party unit for less than half. For a nearly-$200 vacuum cleaner, its inexcusable for Shark to demand additional money for this piece. Second, its top-heavy. Now, this isnt a shock considering the nature of the unit and Im not exactly penalizing it for being what it is. But it does mean that when youre done using it for the moment (like, you want to unplug it, or you just need to move some furniture around) youre really going to want to just lay it down on the floor. More than once did I try to lean it against the wall only to have it slide down. If I wasnt paying attention it would have hit the floor hard (top-heavy, remember?) and probably damaged the plastics, which includes the collection bin. And third, the vacuum head doesnt have really good suction on the sides so cleaning the edges and corners of stairs isnt nearly as effective as cleaning the stair itself. Youll be removing the vacuum head to get into those nooks and crannies. Still, even with those issues Id buy it again.

> 3 dayWe have one very sweet little cat that seems to lose its weight in hair every month - its everywhere. Not to mention kitty litter and dried up bits of food that coat the floors in all of the rooms week upon week... Ive only ever had $60-80 vacuums and with all of the trouble they have caused with clogged filters, lack of power and loss of suction, I decided to invest in this Shark and I have to say, its a darn good vacuum. When Im using this thing, I believe I actually have a look on my face similar to the woman in the pictures - like were content to vacuum all day long and possibly for a living. It truly is a joy to use - very lightweight but still has some heft in the main motor unit so you can tell it is built well. And it is powerful - I havent kept up with the technological advances in home vacuums and havent done the tests with nuts, bolts, marbles or a bowling ball - but it does hurt when you get it stuck to your face - FYI. All of the attachments connect to the unit with a satisfying click and are effortlessly removed. The carpet sweeper unit helps propel itself forward on even the thicker carpets which is a treat because the older cheapo units would get stuck in some areas. Maneuverability and getting under low clearance objects is now done with total ease. The hardwood floor attachment with the terrycloth pad that wipes while moving it across the floor works well too. And though the dual lights on the carpet sweeper and the one on the main unit look really cool (like Audi supplied headlights for this thing), I was surprised to find that they actually light up the carpet/floor and work very well in spotting areas you may have missed. The smaller upholstery sweeper is my favorite attachment and after using it on two of my sofas, I was amazed (and then equally appalled) at how much dirt and hair was deposited into the bin. And the bin is small - like others reviewers stated, I had to empty it 3-4 times after doing the whole place on the first use. However, like a lot of them said, that was just the first time going through what I previously presumed to be my clean apartment. The next week yielded far less and I only had to empty twice (and thats because I leave the bin clean for the next use to gauge how dirty things get over the week). Its a cinch to empty and clean - unlike the last Hoover I owned...I dont want to talk about that. The other truly wonderful thing about this vacuum and my main reason for buying it is its small footprint. Its not designed to stand upright on its own but if you live in a 1 bedroom apartment with valuable limited closet space and a girlfriend/wife that wants all that limited space to herself for her stuff, you dont want a vacuum taking up space where your Taylormades clearly fit and absolutely belong. A plastic wall/door mount hook comes in the box and I now have it mounted on the wall close to the ceiling inside my precious tool closet where it fits perfectly and is totally out of the way of anything else stuffed in there, the bag of attachments hanging right next to it. The only slightly annoying part is cord management (and I say this coming from a vacuum that had a retractable cord so dont take it too seriously unless you currently have one with that option and have gotten used to the bliss of not having to wrap and then unwrap when you are told you missed an area that needs cleaning). There is a cord hook on the main unit and then a hook on the carpet sweeper and the floor sweeper. If you have the cord wrapped around the hooks on the unit and either of those attachments, you cannot remove that attachment from the extension pole without unwrapping the cord completely. Its a small hassle and easily remedied by just wrapping the cord around the main unit handle and dust bin instead of using the hooks. That way, you can interchange and store the way you want without fussing with the cord first. As you can tell, Im not getting technical on this review - I dont know much about vacuums because they arent my thing and it took some deep reasoning and soul searching for me to pull the trigger on a $250 (with tax) dirt sucking machine - I was simultaneously looking at any other FUN electronic item for the same amount before I clicked buy. But, all-in-all, Im happy with the choice and thanks to all the reviewers who helped me make it. If youre living with someone who has de facto control over all of the storage space in a 1 bedroom apartment with 4 small closets but only 1.5 you can call yours and everything of communal use has to go in your closet exclusively, this is the vacuum for you. If you have more space to work with and call your own, good for you - very happy for you. You will like the vacuum too.

Greater than one weekWould have given this one 5 stars if it was able to stay standing up. Its too heavy and has to be laid down everytime you use it. The suction is amazing, one of the best vacuums we have owned for suction. Just have to lay it down everytime you stop for anything.
