> 3 dayI really like this Shark, but I find it to be awkward. It won’t stand on its own because it’s so top heavy. I have to lean it against something and a few times it’s fallen onto furniture or against the wall and nicked it. The suction is great, though.

> 3 dayThis is a piece of garbage. After a few months it wont suck up anything and when it does it spits it all out in a giant pile once you turn it off. If anything is left inside it, when you move the vacuum it will all shake out. If you are looking to clean a room, this will not help. The motor also overheats after a few minutes.

> 3 dayGot this as a gift for my daughter. She has pets and absolutely loves this vacuum! Easy to use, lightweight, and so easy to use on the stairs. So happy with this vacuum and does a wonderful job with the dog hair.

Greater than one weekThis Shark Ultralight Pet Pro cleans very effectively. We have two house cats and my first quick cleaning of our fairly small sitting room sitting room picked up a huge amount of their hair. I am seriously impressed with the cleaning power of the unit. Its especially good on carpets, where the continuous brush on the roller really gets up debris. If only the design of the vacuum was as good. My biggest beef is that you cant let the unit stand upright. Its too top heavy and poorly balanced, so you either have to lean it against something (wall, bookshelf, chair, etc.) or you have to lay it down on the floor. I simply cannot fathom why Shark designed this thing where it cant stand up - especially since they did design the shaft to lock into the upright position even though you cant stand it up. Just bizarre. Less disappointing but still annoying is the accessory attachment clip that holds the wand attachment. You attach it to the frame tube of the vacuum, but it slides up and down without much resistance making it frustrating to attach or remove the accessories since doing so moves the clip up and down. Another poor design choice thats hard to understand. I expect 99.9% of users will find it easier to avoid attaching the accessories altogether. My last complaint is that the debris cannister is annoyingly small. Expect to have to stop frequently to empty it. Again - why? This thing works great at actually vacuuming stuff up, so why design it with such a tiny debris cup? Thankfully though small it is easy and convenient to empty. Ultimately, I just cant recommend this vacuum. It feels suspiciously like Shark started with a hand vac and decided to stick it on top of a handle with little other thought regarding the actual functionality of it. Cleans well but still disappointing.

> 3 dayAbsolutely love this vacuum. Its small enough to get in between furniture and big enough to sweep a room. Love that I can vacuum rugs without holding them down. And I love that I can vacuum furniture and steps!

> 3 dayThis vacuum is great. Love the light on the vacuum so helpful. I have a Dyson vacuum and there are a few things Dyson could learn from this vacuum. Love how the hair that is sucked up is collected and not tangled. The suction is great. For the price I would definitely buy it again.

> 3 dayThis Shark HZ602 Ultralight Pet Pro with PowerFins and Self-Cleaning Brushroll is just what I had been looking for. I did not want a battery run vacuum and this is corded. Its lightweight and powerful and does a great job! The Handheld Vacuum part was perfect for the carpeted stairs! It is very easy to separate the Handheld from the Floor Mode and cleaning out the clear dirt cup is simple, too. It will get a lot of use in my house. It was time to replace my noisy old floor sweeper, and Im really happy with this super lightweight Shark model!!

> 3 dayI say that its good for its size, but honestly it outperforms many full-size vacuums. The first thing I noticed was that this somehow feels cheap. It feels like they might have skimped on a durable feeling vacuum in the name of being lightweight. We have a full-size shark that is built like a tank and weighs about as much as one. This one is just super light, a little plasticky, but thats where the cheap feeling ends. Performance-wise this thing is a monster. We have 2 cats and this thing has completely blown us away at how well it picks up the hair and dirt from our basement carpet. And, of course, we love that it does double duty and works well on floors, also. The no hair aspect isnt quite accurate and it doesnt self-clean quite as well as Shark would have you believe. However, it does work far better than a traditional brush roll vacuum, so were not really complaining on that one. Overall, a fantastic vacuum. Sure, its not the cheapest vacuum you can get, but weve used Shark for a long time and have always been happy with them. You cant go wrong with this one.

31-03-2025Im a demanding user of vacuums. For most items on Amazon, my satisfaction level with this vacuum would lead me to give five stars. But I expect a lot from vacuums, and though this one is good, its nowhere near great. This is a handy, somewhat powerful vacuum with several additional helpful tools besides the rotating floor beater. Suction from this machine is better than from my cordless stick vacuums of equal size. Only my Dyson V10 has equal suction--and that only at the highest of its three levels, a level that drains its battery in under ten minutes. So in just plain power, this is a fairly decent vacuum. Yet its limited in power by its stick design and doesnt have the suction of an equivalently-priced canister or normal (non-stick design) upright. Nor does it have multiple power levels. Theres one level for suction, and thats it. The beater head is powerful and capable, and has a slow speed for bare floors and a power speed for carpets. The beater does a good job with carpets, but on bare floors Id prefer a simple wide unpowered brush without a beater. This comes with a four-inch-wide non-powered auxiliary brush, but I found it basically useless for cleaning floors and under furniture because it lacks effective bristles and just sort of scrapes along a very narrow path of flooring--and if you dont hold it at the exact right angle it barely cleans at all. The biggest of my complaints with this vacuum is that the beater head is narrow, forcing more stripes to clean the floor, and it doesnt fit under furniture easily. Whats the use of a stick vacuum if it doesnt get into tight spots or fit under furniture? Its a good beater head with a very narrow unused strip at its outer edges, but it still doesnt work as well as my Dyson for getting in places and under things because, despite the narrow head, its awkward and somewhat bulky where you need it svelte and maneuverable. Here are some additional observations: 1) The vacuum doesnt stand upright on its beater head but topples over. Its back heavy. You will have to lean it against a closet wall. 2) The vacuum works well in getting dirt off carpets, but the dirt reservoir is small. I had to empty it twice when sweeping about 1000 square feet of fairly clean hardwood and some rugs. 3) The cord is short. Id prefer eight more feet of cord. I think, honestly, that at the price you would be better off getting a Shark cordless vacuum. Ive bought Shark cordless vacuums at Costco for $250 that were nearly as good as this vacuum--and far more portable.
