> 24 hourThis is such a well-designed product! The under-furniture feature is clutch. The lights help you spot floor dust or cobwebs day or night. The suction gets everything. Its lightweight and easy to transport up or down stairs. It holds a charge for your whole house and charges quickly. The canister is easy to empty. The attachments are easy to use. This thing is perfection!!

> 24 hourBuy it no matter what, that’s all I can say. When we purchased corded vacuums I got the Shark Navigator and haven’t gone back to any other corded brand. In choosing cordless though I always thought it was more of a gimmick than a true tool so I tended to buy cheap knock offs to just get pet hair from the floors and possibly something heavier like dirt. Anything else and the two cordless vacuums were so underpowered that I never believed it would come close to really cleaning up much at all. When our third cheap brand cordless died in less than a year, I thought I’d upscale to something that might last over a year. I took nearly a month researching brand after brand to find one that was both affordable, reliable and powerful enough for us. Ultimately I bought this Shark Vertex for the following reasons: 1) At $365 it was half the price of a Dyson. It was still twice as much as what I’d paid for cheap no name brands but I needed something that would actually last. While not cheap, I could afford it. 2) The problem with no name brands is that if one piece is lost or broken they don’t tend to sell parts for them. With this Shark I made sure that there were replacement parts for anything I might break, and there are. Any repairs down the line should cost tens of dollars from now on, not another $100-150 to buy another cheap cordless to throw away a few months later. 3) This thing is powerful. Wow. None of the other cordless vacuums I had really did much on carpet. The brush might grab some of the detritus on the rugs but it was a 50-50 crap shoot. As for pet hair, that was even worse. This Vertex is pretty incredible. On carpet mode I’m able to get it on my deep plush rug and get pet hair and anything else right off. You know it’s working when you can’t see anything on the rug but after you go over it there’s all this captured filth sitting in the container! Not only does the rotating head work really well (and especially the anti hair tangling feature) but the suction is very good. Obviously not as good as the corded but definitely good enough. We are alternating cord-cordless every weekend so that we get extra deep cleaning every other week. Battery power is impressive. We’ve done the two large rugs downstairs, the hard wood floors, the carpeted stairs and four carpeted bedrooms all one one charge-just. But that it’s able to do all of that is really impressive. Additionally you can also purchase another battery for $80 if you think you might runout if power. The “crack” feature which allows the handle to look like a broken arm and get to almost a 90 degree angle so that you can get under furniture is a pretty nifty feature. I thought it was a silly gimmick but I use it quite a bit. One thing that bothers me though is that the little toggle that releases the straight arm into the angle is a small plastic piece that I’m pretty sure I’m going to accidentally break off one day-need to check if THAT part is replaceable. Couple other things I didn’t like: There’s no wall mount but that’s probably because it’s heavy at nearly 10 lbs. Took a couple uses to get used to the new weight but once you get used to it, it’s definitely worth the trade off of some extra weight for extra power. The other thing is that the roller head is not only larger because of the dual rollers, but it’s pretty noisy on the carpet mode. Again, I think it’s a fair trade off to get a louder heavier roller head for much more effective cleaning power. All in all this vacuum is a keeper. The vacuum is warrantied for defects for up to 5 years! For normAl wear and tear of parts that need to be replaced, those items are available on the Shark store and on Amazon.

> 24 hourWe bought this vacuum to replace a eufy HomeVac Duo 2-in-1 Cordless Vacuum with the intent for using it in a similar manner - to handle quick vacuum jobs around the house - primarily on hardwood. To our surprise the Shark not only performs very well on the hardwood, as expected, but is powerful enough to handle our carpets, which are rather thick and challenging. Even the LED light on the front is a nice added touch and helped us see and pick up more dust and dirt. The Shark is simple overall - with a sleek design that is minimal, which makes storing it very easy - we are easily able to store this between our washer and dryer in our bathroom, nice and tucked away, but very accessible in a moments notice. Check out the first picture - the motor comes off and hooks to the bottom of the stick/vacuum head to self balance and makes for compact storage. We have a small dog and 2 women in our house - so removing hair from vacuum cleaner heads has become something we are used to having to do every couple months. I was amazed the Shark has NO HAIR tangled in the vacuum head after 40 minutes of vacuuming, which would normally result in a tangled hair mess with the eufy. See the 2nd picture - this shows you what the vacuum head looks like after 40 minutes of vacuuming - not one hair! The attachments that come with the Shark are very convenient and easy to snap on and off - making it easy to reach tight spaces, vacuum couches, etc. In addition the ability to attach the vacuum head directly to the motor allows us to vacuum the stairs with ease. The vacuum head is the perfect width for the stairs and it made a once tedious and annoying job easy. The 3rd picture shows the 2 setting the Shark has; one for bare floors and then ramped up power and a spinning vacuum head for carpet. You cannot go wrong for the price - especially if you find yourself dealing with a vacuum hair always snarled in hair. You will be impressed by the power, ease of use, and overall convenience of the Shark. The only thing you may be wanting bit more of it battery life - as you find yourself getting carried away with the ease of use. Happy vacuuming!

> 24 hourI own 2 Dyson (which I love as well) however they are heavier and not as easy for me to get out to vacuum. I have some medical restraints and this vacuum is perfect for me. I keep it plugged into the charger, out of the way in my laundry room folded over and hardly noticeable and its so easy to just unplug from the charger and run it over small areas or all over. My home is about 1250 Sq FT and it will keep a charge through the whole house. The only reason I didnt give this a 5 star is because the vacuum doesnt stand up on its on if it is in the upright position, however its easy to just fold it over when stopping for any reason. I would recommend.

> 24 hourThis vacuum isnt perfect but performed well beyond my expectations. Its a million times better than my Dyson cordless. My only complaints/ cons are the battery life and lack of accessory storage. If you plan to use it on carpet, spend the extra money on a second battery. No static shock at all for me. The biggest complaint I read on here is static shock. I vacuumed my large carpeted bedroom twice with no issues. I even intentionally didnt touch the grounding bar on the handle with no shock at all. On the carpet setting and high suction, one pass in my large bedroom quickly brought the battery to 60%. I was able to do a second pass on the carpet, my large bathroom and stairs, both hard surfaces, all on high with a single battery. I was surprised to see how much power was lost on the carpet but my Dyson never worked on carpet at all even though it came with a carpet/ brush roller attachment. With only one carpeted room in my house, this will replace my traditional corded vacuum too. The two batteries are enough to do my entire 1500 sqft house with the suction on high and a single attachment for both carpet and hard surfaces. The hair free brush roller is a life saver! After two passes on the carpet, there were only a few of my wives hairs wrapped around the roller which were easily pulled off by hand. No more scissors to the brushes to cut half a head of hair off the rolled every other week. It would be nice to have a wall mount charger with tool storage like my Dyson has but its worth the trade off for a cordless vacuum that actually works. The Shark also has one handed tool change with the release button on the tool itself. Unlike the Dyson that requires both hands with the button being on the vacuum.

> 24 hourMy last corded Shark vaccuum was a beast. Its suction power was amazing, but it was quite a job hauling it around. I really wanted to love my first cordless vacuum, but Im unconvinced. CONS: -It doesnt stay up by itself. The canister tips it over. You can bend it so that it stays up while charging or while being stored, but you cant just leave it up if you have to stop or youre interrupted. -The canister is smaller. -Mine has clogged 2 out of the 4 times Ive used it. The neck part between the roller and the main stick is very narrow, and you have to unlock the vacuum head to unclog it. Please note that I have not been doing huge vacuum jobs! This is just a 2xs a week regular vacuuming. This is pretty unacceptable. -Theres not a way to attach the edger and other attachments to the stick vacuum as I go along. So if I want to quickly switch to the edger, for example, I have to either carry it with me the whole time, or go get it from wherever it is. -The suction power. Its just not what Im used to with corded vacuums. If I use the pull trigger for max power, it drains the battery so much faster. -The battery says its supposed to last 60 minutes, but mine only lasts 20-30 minutes if I use the carpet or max power option. -I cant figure out a good way to use this on the stairs yet. It only comes with two small attachments. Perhaps the edger is the best way to go. PROS: -I absolutely love how lightweight it is! -I absolutely love not having a cord. I feel like I can go around quicker as I edge the whole house. -I think the bare-floor setting is better than my last corded Shark. The package was already opened and re-taped when I received it. It makes me nervous that it was previously used or refurbished, when it was supposed to be brand new. Im a little on the fence, but I think if I knew I could return it for a full refund after having used it four times, I would. Its too bad you just dont know until youve used it.

> 24 hourSaw a test including this Shark Vertex on the Project Farm youtube channel under the best cordless vacuum video (great channel for product tests) and liked it best for our needs (hardwood, some carpet, lots of stairs). I love how modular it is. Im in awe in how little hair ends up in the roller. Have only had one clog to get out of it in about 4 months of use (compared to our old stick vac). Would purchase again for sure!

> 24 hourThis is my first cordless and so far it’s great! Takes some patience learning how to set up and clean. A little more expensive than I expected but I’ve been waiting for the chance to get a hair free roller and a longer run battery and this beauty delivers.

> 24 hourI have a mobility problem and tend to pretty much live in my recliner. The result of this is a zone of ick around the chair. This item really SUCKS crap off the floor, and is light enough for me to use.

> 24 hourI have used this stick vac every day since receiving it and I really, really like it. Very good value for the money. The functionality where you can break the stick in two to vacuum under furniture is so simple to use and a complete revelation. Where have you been all my life?! I use this feature all the time and absolutely love it. I also like the exceptional maneuverability of the vacuum head and the very bright LED headlights, features I didnt even know I wanted but also love. It will literally move around in a circle from a static position. You can use the break in half feature to store it upright but bent over itself so its not necessary to lean it up against a wall. It does not come with a dock or any kind of storage mounting system. Another of the really nice things is that the top part breaks off to become a hand vac but, not only that, all the accessory tools can plug into the hand vac, including the power head, which is a premium feature I was looking for. This is very handy for vacuuming the couch or a bed and seems to be a unique feature as I didnt find it elsewhere. On the down side, I would say that the unit is a bit top heavy, which gives me the feeling that it could give you tennis elbow pretty fast if you had a second battery to extend the time you can use it. I am happy with the battery life. On the fastest non-turbo speed it cleans a combo of hard and carpet surfaces for around 20 minutes. This unit is not for deep cleaning but has enough suction to pick up Cheerios and dog kibbles as well as all the dust bunnies and pet hair on your solid surface floors. It gets my long hairs up off of the carpet, as well. It is IDEAL for day to day cleaning that keeps your house looking nice and makes big cleaning days far less work. Bravo, Shark!
