This is my first DSO and after A LOT of research I settled on this model. Price is great for the features you get! But, it was quite an investment for a hobbyist like myself... I am in now way disappointed with the money I spent. This is worth every penny more that it cost me over the cheaper options.... the super phosphor display looks great. I have very bright lights on my workbench an I can still see this very clearly. It’s extremely easy to read even under very bright lighting. I am using this for cb/ham radio repair and tuning. I’ve only had this for a short time but I am very happy with it. The FFT feature is very cool for someone looking for a basic spectrum analyzer. The online .pdf user manual is pretty easy to understand as well.

The only signal that appears to display on this device is the calibration signal. I have tried multiple probes and both channels and cannot see any signal for voltages or serial connected devices.

I bought this scope mainly for the increased bandwidth . It comes with with a lot of built in extras . I have a couple of Arbitrary Generators of the Siglents brand and have always been happy with them for their performance.

I give the signal generator high marks. Easy to use and two independent outputs is great. Good up to 30 Mhz for a sine wave. A lot of built in arbitrary signals to choose from. The front panel is easy to use. The oscilloscope doesnt get as high a mark from me. For some reason the scope I received does not have the input impedance setting softkey available on either channel even though the user manual says its there. I think I should have opted for the 100Mhz 4 channel SDS1104X-E for about $100 more that has a lot of options not available on the 2 channel 1000 series scopes (like built in web server for remoting operations)

Ive never owned an o-scope before, but I did my homework before deciding on this one. The most influencing features are the SPI/I2C decoding and the SPO screen. Navigating the user interface and trying to remember how to use certain features can sometimes be confusing, but a quick glance in the manual and Im back on track quickly enough. Also, the Auto Setup button makes this crazy-easy to get a measurement almost instantly.

The SDS1202X-E works great! You cant beat it for $379 USD. I ordered mine through Amazon/Saelig, and received it as promised. It had been out-of-stock at the time. They are now in-stock and receiving more each week. The scope is quiet, has a nice display, and its FFT function works great - one of the nice features in digital scopes. Digital Trigger keeps displayed waveform steady. Siglent also will be coming out with higher bandwidth scopes in the next year or so. Back in thew 80s I bought a 100Mhz Kenwood 4-Channel Analog scope for $1500 USD! The Siglent is better (smaller, more features, no CRT, lighter, built-In fan to cool, color display, save screens to flash drive...)...
