Siglent Technologies SDS1202X-E 200 mhz Digital Oscilloscope 2 Channels, Grey

I have used this scope for a year and it has made a huge improvement over my old analog scope. Because I can pause the stream I can measure the capacitance of capacitors and the inductance of inductors.

I have used many scopes at work and they are expensive well known branded scopes priced in thousands of dollars This Siglent Technologies SDS1202X-E 200Mhz scope accomplishes the same tasks plus more at a much affordable price for home, hobby and professional use. Best feature I like is the free decoder for standard and new serial protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, etc). I have had this scope for over 6 months now and I have done a lot of debugging on microcontrollers and audio projects using this scope. This scope is my main go to bench equipment! I highly recommend if you are on a budget.

lot of noise on channel 1. Channel 2 is okay. As you can see from the photos when both probes are connected together, channel 1 waveform is noisy. Switched two probes positions, the same problem, so its not an issue with probes, channel 1 is bad.

I regularly used very expensive digital scopes before I retired. I was expecting this to be just OK but its as good as any scope Ive used. Im super impressed. The scope automatically runs at full digitizing speed and you can freeze a waveform (for example single sweep) and zoom and pan within it very intuitively. Super impressed.

All the features on this item met my expectations just like the reviews Ive read here on Amazon. I had also observed some videos on YouTube as well before I decided to purchase the Siglent SDS1202X-E. The only reason why I didnt give this a five star rating is that Im having issues downloading the virtual software. Hopefully its an operator error! Overall, I must say that Im thoroughly content and satisfied as a hobbyist❗

Ive used many $30K+ Tek/HP/Agilent Scopes the better part of my career (27+ years) and this scope is an insane value for the money.

Functional scope for a good price

Sadly my scope was defective. It would lock up, nothing I did could shut it down with the exception of pulling the power cord out of the socket. It did work at first, but it was unstable with random lockups. I upgrades the firmware, which is very easy, put this did not help. When it work I really liked the scope. It is easy to use. My only complaint other than the fact that this particular scope was defective is the size of math function information displayed to the user. It a bit too small for my older eyes, but that my problem not the scope. I returned the scope to Amazon, which was very easy and Im considering reordering this scope if I dont find a better deal for the money. I would add that this scope is extremely quiet and boots quickly, Id guess it take about 15 seconds. The FFT is very impressive. There is a great deal to like about this product and buying it from Amazon lowers the risk if you have my kind of luck.
