Surprisingly functional at this price. Very happy with this purchase. Hoping it holds up for a few years at least. Good enough for hobby work

This is my first scope, and it’s way smarter than me for now. I’m a professional electrician who’s getting into electronics. This thing has way more functionality than I can use at the moment, but I got a scope to learn how to use a scope, and slowly but surly it’s happening! I’ve even watched lightning with this thing using a small tesla coil as a receiver.. good times!

For the money it is crazy what we can get for diagnostic equipment in 2018 vs. say 2005. A digital SPO 200MHz scope for under $400 including all the bells and whistles we expect from digital scopes these days! This type of diagnostic equipment was once reserved for the lab and the richer hobbyist. This Siglent scope even has serial decoding including at no cost! We also have software controls and capture over USB or Lan (in Windows 10 too!). This is truly a great all around scope for anyones first journey into digital oscilloscopes under $500, with enough bandwidth to analyze complex signals including clocks from DACs (usually 100 MHz or so).

I liked this scope, but I had issues with it locking up hard several times over two days after receiving it. Since it has a soft power switch I had to pull the plug and plug it back in to get it going again. So I had to return it.

At work Ive used Tektronix oscilloscopes for 40 years. Ive always limped along at home with low-bandwidth scopes or had to bring balky projects into work on the weekend. Not anymore! This scope is everything I was looking for. It is very inexpensive for what you are getting. I chose a 200 MHz two-channel scope because I care about BANDWIDTH much more than the number of channels (with two channels you can always trigger on one thing, and closely look at another ... four channels on one screen is nice, but not required).
