Was going to use this little spiral-bound book to create swatches of my watercolors in order to have a handy visual reference. Well, that was the plan anyway. Be warned: Low-tac artist tape sticks to this paper!! I set up my grid and laid down the tape. But after finishing my swatches and letting them dry, the tape tore up the paper when I tried to remove it. I havent had this problem with any other 140lb watercolor paper Ive used. Just this one!

I use it both as a diary and a drawing pad. It goes with me to concerts, where I sketch the musicians and write about the music, all on the same page.

Purchased several of these as gifts for my artsy friends.

I liked it ok

I keep trying different journals for my doodle drawings, but I always come back to this one. I use it in different sizes. I use a variety of pens, such as Pigma Micron and Staedtler, and Faber Castell Pitt Artist Pens for coloring. Ive attached a sample of one of my drawings on this paper. Ive used some wet media on it and it works fine, but most of the time, I use my pens and markers. The texture of the paper is what I really love. Its got just a bit of tooth, but not like watercolor paper. Some pens may drag a bit on it, but the ones I use work great. Even though I keep being tempted to try new paper based on artists recommendations, I finally decided to stop trying other brands as Im never as happy as I am with the Mixed Media Visual Journals.

Good paper, good value. Opens flat. Nice, sturdy covers.
