> 3 dayThis is very nice watercolor paper with light texture. I am using it with gouache, but it would work well with watercolor, inks, acrylics, gel pens or dry media like pastel pencils and colored pencil. Sturdy covers make it hold up well to plein aire painting outdoors.

> 3 dayLove love love the paper. Not too thin and not too thick. Lovely texture. I mainly used inks and watercolours.

> 3 dayFairly good quality Bristol board in a convenient spiral notebook. Good for carrying with you. It would be helpful if the permanent hard covers had the paper type and weight printed on them. After removing the temporary paper cover all Visual Journals have identical covers—watercolor, Bristol board vellum and smooth, etc.

> 3 dayBought this on a whim when I was gathering a bunch of different watercolor sketchbooks. It really holds up! Doesnt really buckle, even with heavy load (and if it does it goes flat again pretty quickly). The paper is pretty rough for fine ink pens, I think, but for sketching, watercolors and other liquid media, and thicker pen work it seems to do OK! Pleasantly surprised.

> 3 dayI got this book for painting with watercolours and it has been excellent. The pages are nice and thick with great texture for watercolour and markers. The pages have had no bleed-through of colour or water, though I did notice on one painting that was very damp, there was some slight warping of the page.

> 3 dayI bought two of these travel journals because I thought they were different than just plain water color journals. They have a brown cover which I did not like. the paper is thick you could use watercolors paint or markers on them but over all I would’ve bought just a plain black cover watercolor book instead. I put a card stock cover on mine.
