Perfect, arrived in perfect condition and just begging me to start pouring life into it. This is my first visual journal and cant wait to see how it turns out.

The paper disintegrates when water is used.

Great little field notebook.

I love this sketch book. I use it with all media. With watercolor there is mild waviness of the paper but it doesn’t bother me. You can tell the paper is 100% cotton. I love the feel of the paper. I only wish they made a moderate size like 10 x 8.

These are the handiest books around for either watercolor or Bristol paper. I just love them and use them all the time.

I use one of these every summer for an art journal to record all the fun of travel and family and friends. I also give them as gifts to help encourage others to journal.

Fantastic for watercolor practice, holds the colors well, I havent had any issues with warping or bleeding. The paper is a nice weight, too. It has some texture, but not so much as to distract from the artwork, or snag your micron pens. All in all, I highly reccomend the journals in particular to keep nice, semi-professional work in. Keep a couple of these around, one for your personal doodling etc, and then have a separate showcase book. Do a nice variety of sketches and different line/painting styles, really show off what you can do, and bring it around with you for clients to see. I love the covers strathmore chose, gives a leather-like impression, very polished.

I cant afford to spend the kind of money Arches wants for their W/C paper. Besides, Ive heard lately that it isnt like it used to be, therefore it isnt as good. When I first started W/C painting, I used this brand and went back to it after trying several others. This one works for me. I would even be willing to use it for any commissioned work. It does everything I need it to do. And the price wont put me in the poor house. I would recommend it.

Convenient size. Not too big, not too small. Good paper so far has stood up to everything Ive thrown at it both wet and dry. Only disadvantage is that its a little pricey. I have found these on other websites for less.
