This is a really nice sketch book. I love the heavy watercolor paper which is very nice for wet media. I like having several sketchbooks with different weight paper and the Visual Journals are perfect for that because they offer so many different types and weights of paper. I havent had any trouble with the pages curling in this journal. Ive filled several of the visual journal with watercolor sketches and ink washes and they have all done wonderfully.

Beautiful paper and nice cover in this nice sketchbook! It’s been a real pleasure to play in this book using all kinds of media such as milk Ayers of watercolor, inks, acrylic paints, and collage! It is holding up very well. Recommend!

Great little pad for playing with paints.

Somehow the playful cover of this sketchbook has helped me let loose and don’t be to precious when painting in it. The results have been great and I filled my first 2 visual journals up in no time. Love Strathmore for inspiring to let go of expectations and just be creative. The paper is good for the money. Sometimes, when I do a lot of wet washes, the watercolors ends up floating around on top of the paper. But for moderately wet paintings and moderate layering, the paper is good.

Attractive, sturdy notebooks. I have them in several different papers - my favorite is the Bristol vellum as it has a little tooth and good weight. The mixed media is also nice but a lighter weight.

Its nice to practice on.

I love this watercolor journal. Good size to travel or to do small watercolor sketches. The paper can hold a good amount of water and the colors react good on it. I will buy again

Quality paper

Bought this item for my daughter. The pages are think and the spiral bound Is sturdy. I cant wait to see the wonderful art she will create with this book. I plan on giving this to her with watercolor paint.
