> 3 daythe quality is good and the size is perfect for journalling. Gives me plenty of room to write with extra space to add watercolor pictures and collages. Fine pen and ink drawings stay crisp instead of the ink soaking in and turning fuzzy.

> 3 dayIt’s wonderful I think one of the best things about this is that not only did the papers fantastic but you can’t just take the pages out which is wonderful because I like to feel that even if I make a mistake I’m learning so I like to be able to look at my mistakes and if I feel like I can just pull them out if the book of the pages are perforated I would feel more like there wouldn’t be anything missing and in this I want to create a journey and I love the fact that it lays flatIt can be used vertically or horizontally and the front and back covers our heart is chipboard so if you go out to sketch/plein air paint I think you’ll really enjoy this book. It’s also a wonderful size.

> 3 dayThis is one of the few sketchbooks that can be used for marker work. The paper quality is great, its very thick smooth bristol. I do a lot of pen and Copic / Prismacolor marker art and always use loose bristol, but its awesome to have it in a nice hardcover sketchbook. The paper doesnt bleed or wick, so it makes for nice clean lines, and the thickness is great for lots of blending without warping or tearing. For marker art, there will be bleed-through to the other side, but I havent had problems with it bleeding to the next page. See my attached images of a Micron and Copic artwork and then the backside of the page to see the bleed. If youre layering a lot of marker and concerned about the bleed, put a piece of paper in between. My only one complaint is that I wish the cover was a little wider than the paper, to protect it a little better.

21-12-2024This is the only thing that I use for my pen and ink drawings. I love that it doesnt bleed through and is still absorbent.

Greater than one weekI love this journal and the price is great. I use pencil, ink, Inktense pencils (water soluble ink), and light washes of watercolor. The paper is sturdy enough to stand up to erasing (but not scrubbing) and does well with light washes. I wouldnt use it for serious heavy water media. The paper is a nice white -- not glaring. Sometimes theres a small amount of show through to the other side so Ive started using just one side of the paper. That would be my one negative -- it would be nice if the paper were just a tiny bit more opaque. The colorful cover that you see in the product photo tears off. Under it is a nice plain brown cover thats not flashy. The cover is nice and stiff for working on your lap if need be. This journal is a winner.
