Just what I expected, working right away on linux system. Transfer speeds between two internal ssds good and it came a day early. Am very satisfied and recommend (based on use for 2 days).

Model purchased/reviewed was the AX2 2TB SATA 2.5 SSD. Does what it should for the most part. Plastic casing (common for lower end SSDs) but feels sturdier than most in this price category. This shouldnt matter too much unless you are doing a lot of hot swapping of the drive. GParted reports 1.86TiB usable space, just slightly larger than the 2TB HDD it replaced (so storage is a true 2TB not 1.92TB like some other 2TB models - this matters when replacing drives in arrays, larger is usually OK but smaller is often an problem). Most true 2TB drives report 1.82TiB so this dive is 40GiB larger than expected. Does not support DRAT/DZAT (Deterministic Read ZEROs After TRIM) - meaning no TRIM when connected to an LSI/Broadcom HBA. So while Team Group claims TRIM support, it wont fully operate in all cases. Unfortunately the LSI/Broadcom HBAs are quite common and popular.

Initial Review 05/2023: Im working on a few large 4k video projects and my current scratch drive doesnt have enough space for all the raw footage for both projects. My typical workflow is to offload the cards but not erase until the footage is culled and I can archive the raw footage. Needed a cheap SSD that I could get next-day and this was one of my only options. Overall, performance is fine but the price is hard to beat. My real data drives are 4x Crucial MX500s which are excellent, made by an American company, and on par with Samsungs. This drive definitely slowed down during 100gb+ transfers but very few people are going to be doing transfers that large on a regular basis. So far its fine and seems on par with PNY CS900 or Microcenter Inland Professional drives I buy for temporary storage. All TLC, all DRAMless.

My previous laptop only had 256 gig of space. I was running out. This has been a great way to upgrade. Now, Im using it as an external hard drive for my new laptop! 5 stars.

Finally decided to try an SSD after my wifes LAPTOP died. Once I figured out it was the 2yr old HHD was the issue, I started pricing a new drive. For the same price or even less I could get this SSD. Installed normally but WOW...what a difference. Windows 10 installed in less than 4 minutes (from USB). No more complaints about her laptop. And actually shes trying to keep me off it.

I installed this in my HP Pavilion DV7-2277cl. Used Disk Genie to migrate my Windows 11. This SSD is the fastest one I have ever bought. Definitely worth the money. Would recommend it to anyone.

$45 bucks for 1TB of SSD? Thats a great price in toadys market, maybe its a few MBs slower than competing brands, but its still HUNDREDs of MBs faster than HDD. I bought 2, used EASEUS Todo Backup to clone Windows laptops. Went without a hitch. (Dont forget youll need a USC -> SATA III adapter cable for the cloning process). Both systems boot in seconds instead of minutes for only $45. Worth it. No problems so far after a couple months of operation. (Remember to retain your old HDD in case you are forced to do it again if the SSD fails).

What a time to be alive, a 2TB high speed drive for less than hard drives used to cost. Used this to double the SSD capacity of my system, allowing no-compromise storage of games which take up more and more space.
