This appears to be an excellent vacuum cleaner. It picks up well, has HEPA filtration, easy emptying, light weight, and a nice assortment of accessories. Customer service was very responsive and helpful in some problems I had locating the serial number so that I could register the product. The only problem is that, although the webpage confirmed that my product had been registered, I was unable to login on the iPhone app with the same user name and password. Apparently, login credentials work some places but not others within Tineco sites / apps. But overall, though I havent used the machine long, it is performing well, and is a whole lot better than the old corded, heavy one I had.

I was so impressed with certain qualities of this vacuum - but ultimately, it failed to satisfy our use case. For context, we have about 2000 sq ft of wall to wall carpet throughout the house and another 1500 sq ft or so of hardwood with a couple of medium sized area rugs. PROS: - suction power is impressive, to the point where if youre near the edge of an area rug, itll actually try to pick the rug up. Tt can also feel tricky at first to push the vacuum through carpet, because the suction is so powerful - however, once I got used to the geometry and how low to hold the handle, this wasnt a problem, as such. - the way the large brush roll easily separates from the whole brush roll housing is genius. I have a wife and three girls all with longish hair, so the ability to take this piece out and just slide the hair off the end of the brush roll is such an improvement over other vacuums weve had where you essentially have to cut the hair down the length off the brush roll in order to get it off. - having an actual docking station is a nice feature - if you have the floor space for it near an outlet CONS: - the battery is the major issue here. Though advertised as up to 40 minutes runtime, I suspect this figure is taken by running the vacuum in handheld mode (no lower attachment), with minimal obstruction. (disclosure - the subsequent research Ive done leads me to believe this is actually of an industry standard for this measurement). In actual use, with the brush roll assembly, I was able to get between 13 and 17 minutes runtime. - the automatic dust detection/suctions power adjustment feature is a neat idea, but I think its also the main contributor to the battery life issue. I found that on carpets and area rugs alike, the vacuum would run on near max suction exclusively. I even ran some testing where I vacuumed a small section of our carpeted bedroom for several minutes - I would have thought that eventually it would adjust from high suction to lower (once the area was vacuumed), but it never actually did. So what initially seemed like smart efficiency tool, ended up being my main gripe with the vacuum. CONSLUSION: Our primary concern was that the short battery life made vacuuming the entire house a multi-day process, where we could do two or three rooms, then recharge the battery for four hours, do a couple more rooms, recharge, etc. Id imagine that if you had a small/midsized apartment with most/all hardwood floors, this could be a real winner for you.

This vacuum makes cleaning a breeze! It is smooth and light but it is mighty. It cleans hardwood and carpet so well! I like it more than the Dyson stick I had!

I bought this vacuum in the hopes that going cord-free would make vacuuming less of a chore. Tineco has surpassed my expectations! I used to dread vacuuming on the weekend, but with the S15, vacuuming is so easy (and almost fun) that I vacuum high traffic areas daily. I had not heard of Tineco, but I bought it based on NYTs Wirecutter, whose recommendations have never steered me wrong. Wirecutter recommended the cheaper S11, but I went with S15 because I hate dealing with tangled hair. The S15 handles my hair perfectly. When I was researching Tineco, I thought the smart feature sounded gimmicky. However, its actually very helpful having the pink/red light come on when the floor is particularly dirty, and I like that the suction increases automatically if necessary. I now realize that with my old vacuum, I was leaving a lot of dirt behind. I also like how easy it is to dump the dirt out! Theres a trap door where it falls out, and a lever that pushes it down if some help is needed. With my old vacuum, I had to reach in every time to get out clumps of dirt, and it was so gross to touch and breathe in that stuff. There are 2 negatives, but I think theyre standard with on stick vacuums: It feels a bit heavier in my hand than I would like. And the battery doesnt last long enough to do my entire house; only maybe 1,000 square feet. Neither of these things bother me that much. I dont mind taking a break during the vacuuming.

Great vacuum with excellent power. I read a bunch of reviews before getting this one. Its a little more than i budgeted to spend but worth it. Great vacuum and happy we got it!

TL;DR: Bought on sale cyber monday, shouldve bought a spare battery then. Go ahead and get a spare battery for the deeper cleaning days! I can normally cover ~2800sq/ft (hard to guess tbh, not sure how big the downstairs is, but it does account for most of the house, and is mostly tile/hardwood) in 25ish minutes and be fine, but if Ive been lazy and the cats have been shedding, one battery wont quite make it (but itll be close). I really like this vacuum! Other things of note: If you run it wide open (max suction) the battery will last maybe 10 minutes. You do not need to do this however unless the situation calls for it. let it decide. You need to clean the dust filter often (This goes for many vacuums, not just this one), I normally do it after every full-downstairs vacuum because it comes with a spare, and itll normally be dry by the time I want to use it again. Takes about 1 minute total to clean, so theres no reason not to do this. Thats it. Its a great vacuum for what I wanted it for, light to medium duty frequent use so I dont have to bust out the plug-in dyson and drag that thing all over the place. For carpet heavy environments, you want something plug-in period, this is not a great main unit for a carpet heavy environment. For all hard floors it would be great. We have 3 cats and two small children, so theres always something that needs vacuuming and I wanted a reasonably powerful cordless vac to hit the proverbial high spots, and this more than meets those relatively low requirements. As stated above, I can usually cover the whole downstairs on a single charge, occasionally if theres excessive crud (because someone hasnt been running it regularly) I have to grab the second battery, or if were doing a more deep cleaning around the furniture and pulling stuff out from the wall, it comes in handy (think multiple canister dumpings and what not). Its very easy to break down and clean.. I probably shouldve read the instructions but nah. I have not clogged the dust filter to a point where the vacuum constantly runs in high vacuum mode (this is a complaint I read about from other users), and I keep it clean to avoid that situation. This is something one should do with their corded vacuums as well, as it greatly cuts down on the available power if neglected (and causes a higher instance of dust circulation rather than capture). The included tools are mostly helpful for the situations that require them, not much else to say there. I dont see the point of the dust filter cleaner attachment since youd just be clogging up the other filter, instead I wash them by hand in the sink by running water down the middle (backwards), and let em dry til the next use. easy peasy.

I bought this vacuum a year ago, after using a competitors for years. Its a competent and versatile tool. I like it even better now, as I had a latch to the dust bin break recently. Once I identified that broken part, and provided Tineco with my proof of purchase info, they sent a replacement part promptly. No fuss. Tineco stands behind their product, and I applaud that.

What I like: the light on the bottom to see all the dirt you’re picking up, the flat head so you can maneuver under furniture, fairly lightweight Cons: terrible with pet hair. Clumps up super fast and I’m always having to dig around the canister to empty it out. My old Dyson I didn’t have to touch any or the dirt or hair to make sure it emptied. It gets clogged easily and quickly loses its suction. I find myself having to wash my hands every time I vacuum because I am removing clogs from the pet hair each time. If you have a dog hair problem, definitely splurge on a higher end model made specifically for it! I wish I would’ve done that.

Of all of the household chores that exist, vacuuming is my favorite. I love to vacuum. I love the satisfaction of vacuuming, and I love it when I know my vacuum is doing a good job. Ive had multiple Dysons, Hoovers, Bissell, and Shark vacuums over the years. I decided to try this brand out for a change. Everything I read sounded great, so I was so excited to get it! Pro - I can feel the strong suction. Especially when you but it in Max mode on a hard surface (not carpet), you can feel the suction. - The indicator ring on top shows how dirty an area is, then it turns blue as it gets cleaner - It tells you how much % battery power is left on the screen as you use it - its very quiet. It automatically chooses the strength of the suction to clean an area. The strongest setting is still quite quiet. Con - Im still getting used to seeing the indicator ring, so I feel like sometimes I overly fixate on one spot just bc the ring is red and not blue....even if the area do appear to be clean (yes, I know there can be dirt that I might not be seeing) - the battery power indicator is neat, but I feel like it also distracts me bc I can watch it die down so quickly - Each charge doesnt last very long. I can spend maybe 10 minutes vacuuming my upstairs, and thatll use up the entire charge - Charging takes A LONG time to fully charge - In order to charge, you have to rest the device on a charging base. It hooks up on the long attachment, even though the battery is probably in the top part. (Where the trigger and waste basket is) There isnt a way to charge without having it all connected, which takes up more space. - Although the vacuum clearly has multiple settings or degrees of strength when using it. The only 2 options are auto and max. Itd be nice it we could choose something in the middle since it sometimes does choose a light setting and the only want to override that is to put it to Max (which sucks up the battery life... literally) Overall, this is still a good vacuum. For what its priced, though, I expected a bit more.

I never write reviews, but I will cause this was the smartest decision we made since we got a white husky malamute added to our house. Never experienced greatness until I could voluntarily vacuum ten times a day with no complaints. Great customer service too!
