Greater than one weekI love this thing, but I had to buy a new one because I got a new router with a new SSID. So dumb that you cant forget the previous network and this device can only hold 1 network at a time. I did take it a part and saw a hidden reset button which is covered up the outside shiny sticker around the power button, but I could not forget how to get it to forget the network. Holding it down for 10 seconds didnt work (with a pin), holding it down while unplugged for 10 seconds didnt work either. So, not sure if that actually works. Only re ordering because I like the reliability of the device last year, and another device in my yard which is WiOn, but if I ever run into this issue again, I will not purchase to support a hidden feature that makes you buy another one because the end user cant figure it out nor does the manufacturer tell you how its done. EDIT: Holding down the power button for 5 seconds before plugging it into the outlet, then plugging it into the outlet and holding the power button down again for 5 seconds resets the network settings. Raising the rating slightly, but still wish they included this method either on the box, or in the instructions.

> 3 dayUpdate August 18 2019. Derating to 3 stars, product support is nonexistent, answers to requests for assistance are ignored. I found the way myself to get these smart outlets to work reliably away from home WIFI, it seems for some reason that they dont like the recommended higher levels of router security settings. Set the wifi security to WEP - weaker security - then hide your SSID. You may have to reconnect your devices but I found it does work. Only issue might be that other devices may need the higher level security to work, I have found that too. Luckily I have a dual band router so I have the recommended level of security when using 5G. Bought this few days ago. I use it to control outside pathway lights on a timer, its located only a foot above ground level plus 50ft from the access point and I had doubts about the WiFi signal but, its fine. Initial setup took me more than an hour because the connection instructions are confusing. I could not get it to connect at first - it couldnt see my SSID / WiFi name. First I had to do a reset, then enter my zip code (why?) WiFi SSID manually and then password (Obviously). After that it worked but gave a bad impression at first. Timer controls on the APP are easy to setup. Overall I am pleased with it so far.

Greater than one weekI installed 2 of them yesterday to control my mechanical weed control system on my beach. They work great so far. I would have given a 5 star rating but the iPhone app is not very easy to use. It does every thing but for a simple app - it is very difficult to figure out how to do simple things like rename the device. The feature is there but the visual queues are not very obvious/standard.

> 3 dayLasted just over 90 days, of course no warranty. Don’t waste your time go to a local home center and buy from them. They have a longer guarantee than this seller. If you’re going to make a product it needs to last more than 90 days especially if it’s supposed to be for outdoor application, which is the whole purpose why I purchased it Buyer beware.

> 3 dayNowhere in the description of this or their website does state what you find out when reading the instructions: you cannot control the two outlets individually. Whats the point of having 2 outlets on this then? 2019: I have 2 of these now and theyre not bad. They do the job. I just wish that it would have stated beforehand that you can not control each of the 2 outlets individually.

Greater than one weekBought two of these in Nov 2016 for outdoor lighting and fountain control (one for each). Getting ready to order another to control additional lighting were adding. As I recall, the setup was a little tricky. Had to read the instructions carefully to connect it with wifi, then with Alexa. But its pretty amazing to just tell Alexa to turn on the patio lights, or turn on the fountain and voila! Its on. Guests love it. Smartphone app works perfectly too. Highly recommend

> 3 dayFantastic device, quite easy to set up and it seems to be working reliably after 4 days in use. I am using it to remotely control a pond aerator that requires a very specific on/off schedule. An added benefit of using a WIFI-enabled device in the cloud is that I know the house power and my home wifi network are functioning generally, and also that the aerators circuit has not tripped the GFI. This unit can handle 15 amps and 1000 watts, well above the 1/3 hp 5-amp draw (650 watts) of my pond aerator motor. The WiOn app on my iPhone is easy to use and offers great programming flexibility as well as manual on/off override independent of the time settings.

> 3 dayBeing an engineer, I was disappointed that I could not get the device set up and resorted to calling customer support. The first person could not get it to work, so they connected me to someone else. I could not get it to connect to the device. The bottom line was that the customer support person says that it just does not work with some smart phones, and that I should try another one to get it set up. Trouble is I live alone. I will have to see if I can get another person to my house with a smart phone so I can connect the WION device to my router. These are the steps I took: 1. Plugged in the WION device. Blue light blinking. 2. Connected my Android cell phone to the WION WiFi signal. I have a Samsung Galaxy S4. 3. Started the WION app. It had a popup that said Looking for Router.... That is all it would do. Customer support said to click on the Plus sign to manually add it, but when I did that it would just beep at me with no other action. 4. This is a pain in the you know where!
