Greater than one weekTLDR; App is terrible and no support from manufacturer, but works okay via voice control and timer as long as you have wifi network that broadcasts separate 2.4ghz and 5ghz SSIDs. Will NOT work if you have a network that has a single SSID for both bands (e.g. Google WiFi and many mesh networks) Full review: I used two of these switches for about 10 months. As long as you have a WiFi network with a dedicated 2.4GHz SSID it will work, though the app is by far the worst app of all the smart device apps I have (out of ~10). Assuming you do get it setup and dont make any changes to WiFi settings it works well enough on a timer and with Alexa. After switching my WiFi network to Google WiFi, can no longer do the setup to connect switches to the network. There is no support from the manufacturer so you cant actually get help from them. Have gone over 3 weeks of emailing support contact without a response. In doing my own trouble shooting and research it seems that the device is not capable of working on any network where both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands are broadcast using the same SSID. I even tried forcing my phone to be connected to WiFi on the 2.4GHz band in order to do the setup (had to turn off nearby Google WiFi puck so I connected to the 2.4GHz band from a router farther away), but this still did not work. Very frustrating because the app does not provide any feedback or really show anything - there are no settings or other things you can try within it. It seems like an app that was created by a complete novice as a minimum viable product and has not been touched since. In my home smart devices including multiple Alexa echos, Google Home, Phillips Hue, TP Link, WeMo, Ecobee, Ring, FDT View, Amazon Cloud Cam.... all worked seamlessly with transition to Google WiFi, with these WiOn switches being the only problematic ones.

> 3 dayI have a lot of these so they make sense to keep purchasing. They work well with Alexa and seem to last (do not confuse these with the outdoor stake model with three outlets, those are junk). The WiOn app doesn’t offer a lot of features, but it works well enough.

> 3 dayI bought two of these to use for Christmas lights and both work perfectly. The 2nd one was a little bit harder to set up until I unplugged my 1st one, then it set up instantly just like my first one did. I use the timer for the entire week and that has worked flawlessly and reliably. Im very happy with these and would recommend them for sure.

Greater than one weekThis is my third purchase of this product. Works great. Durable. Weatherproof. Use it to light my back and front yards. Easy Alexa integration. Great scheduling feature.

> 3 dayI purchased three of these as single devices since they were out of the bundle pack and received them yesterday. They were easy to connect to Alexa and have a pretty good wifi range. I am using them for Christmas lights and it makes it very convenient to turn them on and off with Alexa instead of the old wireless remote devices I had. The batteries for the old ones were $5-6 each. The only two things I would ask for is to add the usage functionality to them as the competitors have and to add it to the IFTTT app. With IFTTT, you can trigger the devices to turn on and off at sunset and sunrise, just like the competitors do. I bought these for price and function since the competitors dont seem to have an outdoor unit available. It seems like a great product.

> 3 dayWould have had five stars for doing what it is supposed to do, easy set up and easy app but I had to replace one because it got water in it. Outdoor rated outlets really shouldnt let water in. Keep it in a place where it will stay dry and it will be great.

Greater than one weekGreat product to control landscaping lights remotely and programming them to automatically turn on at sunset and off at sunrise. Once programmed, you can forget about it. I like products that you forgot about because they don’t give you any problems. 5 month update: Both units continue to perform flawlessly. They have weathered through many AZ monsoon storms and driving rain with no problems. Thinking of buying a third unit to control a UV bug catcher. In Arizona my power utility charges double rates from 3-6pm, so I’m thinking of setting up the bug catcher to turn off from 3-6pm. Highly recommend.

> 3 dayWorks great for our outdoor lights. Only downside is if the wifi goes out, its a bit of a pain to reconnect this unit. Itd be nice to just have it remember the network and rejoin itself. The WiOn app is easy to use, and this units been running great.

> 3 dayLets just say I have wasted an hour trying to get it to work. Customer service helpfully sent me this email information which should have been included in the original instructions. Since I dont know how to disable my 5 GHZ band on my router (installed by my cable company) and am tired of working on this, I will return it. USES BAND WIDTH: 2.4GHz Band width if 5.0 or higher will not connect. Check your router settings, try resetting your router. If your router has dual band width then you will need to disable the higher. Here are some troubleshooting suggestions for you to consider. For initial set-up be within. 3 ft. of your router. Also, you need to look in your phone settings in data usage – allow permission for WiOn app to use data. With the WiOn device hard-wired or plugged in, the process to add a WiOn device is: 1. Go into your phones SETTINGS 2. Then WI-FI settings 3. Look for a new network named ECO### and connect to it NOTE: IF IT SAYS CANNOT FIND INTERNET – JUST MOVE ON 4. NEXT STEP: (this is when you open WiOn app) (Note: if it does not find the router then hit the + button on your WiOn app to add your router) Follow the on-screen directions to add your country, zip code/area code, name of router(this is name of your network) and Wi-Fi password, your phone will then attach that WiOn device to your local network, the new device will now be listed on the main screen of the app and ready to use. If it does not connect: Delete the WiOn app and reinstall it. NOTE: IPhone users must go to app store to install new app not the app that is stored on the Cloud. Then once it is reinstalled go into your iphone settings (not the WiOn app settings), go to WiFi and see if a new network called “ECO” followed by some numbers appears. If it does, connect to that network and follow the onscreen instructions, which should ultimately lead you into the WiOn app and your device will appear.

Greater than one weekThis would have been a 5 star review, except for one major issue: software. I have 4 of these outlets and they have worked dependably and consistently for several years. However, the WiOn app hasn’t been updated in quite some time, and it no longer works with my iPhone running iOS16. So… I’m unable to set up and program the outlets anymore, rendering them useless. I’ve contacted customer service three times (both email and voicemail; couldn’t talk with an human) and have received no response. I can’t recommend this item until the software issue is resolved. UPDATE: WiOn has updated their software to work with the new iOS update. All is fine, and I reiterate the complement I made: it works reliably and consistently. Highly recommend WiOn outlets.
