The back is loosing off after just a month of use and the screen has started to jump from time to time. I liked this laptop so much that I bought another one that came two days ago. Now Im considering returning the new one since I cant get to return this one from being out the country. Im am disappointed to say the least.

The Acer 5 is a fine laptop as long as you do not need to use the speakers (extreme low volume) or use WiFi sharing (The shared WiFi connection consistently suffers interruptions); Ethernet is the only viable option for sharing internet connection from the Acer 5.

The volume is bugging me. I cant hear when playing a video. This seems inexusable to me. I have to attach external speakers to a $400 laptop? Really!

Love the backlit keyboard. Very slim & responsive. 15 in screen large enough for email & internet searches.

Spectacular computer at a great price.

Crapped out in under a year after a windows update, after extensive troubleshooting and coming to see how minimal the bios is, I can say you get what you pay for, a cheap, disposable laptop

Good picture quality, easy to use. I did a fair amount of research before buying; I had certain features that I wanted but wanted to stay under $500--not easy to do if you want a versatile, quality product. I read a lot of reviews by techies and customer feedback. This brand/model came up frequently as a lot of bang for the buck. Ive been using it for several weeks now and have not been disappointed.

Great value for the money. Very easy to upgrade ram to 16GB should make it future proof. A little heavy. Not recommended for heavy gaming. I like the separate number row.

Terrible onboarding, all third party software is blocked (i.e. Google Chrome), the OS comes a not genuine out of the box, and it shuts down our home internet within 10 minutes!!!!

Ive been fighting this thing for three days trying to get it to simply set up. Im in flyover country, and have satellite internet. The connection is slow, and the computer will not allow you access without a Microsoft account. Setting up a Microsoft account without a fast connection is next to impossible. Just getting the computer to find my internet connection took the better part of the first morning.
