We purchased this laptop in the fall for basic classroom use. Taking notes and writing papers etc.

This is my first laptop so i hv to get used to it. In the meantime I am quite satisfied with it. I had to get myself a wireless mouse as I dont like touchscreen

Computer is not as light as I was hoping.

We bought it for school use and running a silhouette machine

I received my new laptop with a line running vertically down the screen. The line is still there to this day. Amazon refused to post my comments the first time and I was told redress must be done through Acer. Beware!!!! That is the last time I order anything of importance through Amazon.

I really enjoy this laptop. Its been a week now and ive had a great experience so far. I had a mac before and I feel, for the price, this is a great laptop. Would recommend to anyone either using it for simple stuff or even for casual level development and game play.

Might be a good pc but Comes with Microsoft s which means it’s useless.

It does just what I need it for. Checking emails, typing documents, browsing internet.

Ive had this laptop for several months now, primarily using it for routine web browsing and Office applications, and Im very pleased with it. It arrived without a lot of bloatware, boots quickly and hasnt had any significant negative issues thus far. The only thing Ive had to change is the length of time that the keyboard backlighting stays on -- it shut off far too quickly when it arrived, but that can be fixed in the BIOS so its not a big deal. I think this Acer Aspire 5 is a solid value at this price point and highly recommend it.

Laptop stopped working after use. Tried to contact customer service to get help but no one is willing to help.
