Brightness/Contrast - wow, its greats for the movies and games that you might enjoy the contrast and brightness ratios that it offers. Stand - pivots and rotates for those who like the option to flip their screen 144 HZ - Amazing for gaming and you need some decent gpu setup to even make use of the 144 hz. Its only the downside, but you can always pickup a cheaper 60 hz monitor. Sound - Not too many monitors do the whole integrated speakers too often, which works great for consoles that you plug into the monitor and it has a headphone so you dont bother others. 3d support - Granted it works should you have the right 3d glasses to work for games and movies, but it when it does; its great. Settings - take a bit of time to adjust the screen, so it doesnt bother your eyes that much. Just wished you could set your own predefined settings that you could switch easily. Like the game/night view, standard, and rgb modes. The monitor is seeming to fail, and it has been flashing white constantly lately. Not really sure whats going on here. Had the monitor for at least 6 months and now it seems to do this while gaming or watching a movie. Looked up to see if anyone else is having this issue. Not really much on it. Probably going to need to get a replacement soon. Well, the screen acts up and in which there is alot of flickering going on and then seemingly just stops. Update: 1/29 The warranty - is so slow. Like one to two weeks to get a replacement sent out after you send in your old monitor. Advanced replacement can be sent out on your behalf; well if you want a 250 charge on your card. Advanced replacement still takes one to weeks; irregardless of sending in the monitor and then waiting the one to weeks out. Any who, rma process is supposed to take two to three day, then you use the fedex shipping that asus gives you. Of course asus covers shipping fees, which is nice not too worry about. Wish there was an expedited shipping on the advanced replacement or returning process. Probably at least a month without a monitor sucks, but at least the warranty will cover this.

I purchased this monitor before G-sync went live and fell deeply in love with the response rate and the 144hz speed. I am a professional gamer and play games that require twitch movement and speed. I went from a 70Hz 6ms Asus monitor to this whopping 144Hz 1ms monitor and I DEFINITELY notice a difference. From games such as Starcraft and CS:GO, this monitor provides you with the edge in game. I demand performance and this is exactly what it gave me and more. I installed G-Sync following the DIY tutorial on NVIDIAs web site. The installation was easy granted that I have experience dismantling and building computers and components. The overall installation only took 20 minutes for me and really improved my gaming performance. The twitch games such as CS:GO are the kind that I really saw a jump in improvement. The G-Sync along with the 1ms and 144Hz gave games such as BF4, Crysis, and CS:GO a great boost in fluidity and responsiveness. As stated before, my old monitor was 6 years old and this upgrade turned my whole life around. The responsiveness, cleanliness, and fluidity are very noticeable and give me more of an enjoyable gaming experience. I have even restarted various games such as Metro and Bioshock because the gameplay was that much more enjoyable with this monitor and with G-sync installed. If you are in the market for a gaming monitor that is G-sync capable, look no further. For the price you are getting a top-notch monitor with the capability of adding g-sync to really boost your experience. This is by far one of the most important parts of my gaming rig i have purchased and is one that I highly recommend to anyone who wants to get the most out of their computer and their gaming experience. Side note: I have recently ditched my 60hz 42in TV from my living room since I am no longer able to bare the slow 60Hz. I now watch TV on my Asus monitor...

This is probably one of THE most popular gaming monitors right now, as it has been referenced time and time again on the PC forums. This is the monitor to go with if you are after certain expectations, with little (fixable) drawbacks that you need to worry with. BUY IF: If you want to step up your gaming beyond 60 FPS Your needs support 1080p vs 1440p vs 4k Your space supports 24 > monitor size only You want to dabble with 3D Gaming now or later Skip IF: Your GPU Can not processes > 60 FPS Your wanting to go into 1440P or 4k gaming soon You NEVER have the intentions of using Nvidia 3D You use AMD GPUs. Currently, I am running three of these monitors with Nvidia surround technology loaded, as well as Nvidia 3D running on certain games. By itself, this monitor is simply superb, I even attached my xbox one to it and found it more enjoyable to game on versus my 47 or 60 TVs (personal preference perhaps). The trick about this monitor that you must accept is, if you plan to use it at 144hz, you need to know that your GPU can handle the frame rates required. It takes a lot of horse power to get up in frame rates on some of the newer AAA titles like Call of Duty Black ops III (horrible optimization at the moment), Witcher 3, Just Cause 3, SW Battlefront, etc. If your GPU is running an Nvidia 970 or < you will be fine. If you are planning to push 120fps with a 960, or anything lower than this, you will have to turn down a bit of settings to make it happen (no AA, dynamic shadows, god rays, etc). My setup - i7 4790k Devils Canyon (OCd 4.7ghz 24/7) (Liquid cooled) SLI (dual) GTX 970 (OCd to 1550 / 8100 @ 1.275V) Asus Hero VII Maximus MOBO Results in all games maxed out with greater than 120 fps on a single display. In Surround. . . Black Ops III ~ 110 fps with all settings on Medium to high Witcher 3 ~ 60 fps on High preset (extremely demanding) Battlefield 4 ~ 120 fps locked all settings ultra Diablo 3 ~ 120 FPS locked max settings The downsides mentioned. . . Thick bezels. but you know this going in - there are plenty of thinner options out there, but none at this price point with this feature set. Horrid color calibration out of the box - youll need a new color profile ASAP. I used the x-rite ColorMunki calibration tool and sunk all 3 monitors in order to match profiles. AFTER this, the monitors look EXCELLENT and are able to match printed colors.

I purchased this monitor on April 10th, 2014 and received it on April 17th. Im going to go over what I liked and do not like about it. I owned a Ben-Q XL2420T 120HZ monitor prior to this unit, so I will be comparing both of them according to performance and price. First Ill talk about 144hz compared to 60hz for those who do not know: 144Hz is a way of describing how many times the image on your monitor refreshes every second. 60hz means that the image you see on your monitor is relayed from your computer to your monitor 60 times per second, and 144hz means 144 times per second. Basically you see more then double the amount of information your graphics card is processing with a 144hz monitor compared to a 60hz monitor. NOTE: If you are looking to purchase this monitor for console gaming, there are better alternatives. You will not be able to utilize the 144hz feature. Consoles only put out 30-60 frames per second, so a 60Hz monitor is all you need. Now on to the review Pros- -144 Hz is amazing. There is no ghosting when making fast movements in high action games. The increased amount of frames you are able to see gives you an extremely good edge against your opponent. -Perfect screen size for me. The 24 inch screen allows me to have a good field of view in the games that I play so I dont miss valuable information, but isnt so large that I need to constantly scan with my eyes to be aware of the image on the screen. -Good physical size. The circular base of the stand measures roughly 9 inches, so it doesnt take up more desk space than it needs. -PRICE!!!!!!! I paid about 500 USD for my Ben-Q XL2420T. This monitor has 24 more Hz than the benq, similar build quality, and costs about half as much. At 279.99, this is the best monitor I have ever purchased. Cons- -The colors out of the box are a little bland, but with proper tweaking I found color settings that worked well for the games I play. All in all, this is an amazing monitor, the price is right, the features are worth more to me than the price. 5 stars.

Stand is great, anti reflection coating is great, rotation and swivel is excellent as well. Connections on back are all high quality too. Menu supports a gaming reticule (4 to choose from) you can enable, neat feature. I made few adjustments to color and brightness, but overall was pleased with the settings out of the box. I considered getting the 27 but for the price went for the 24 and could not be more pleased. For the price this is a great panel for gaming and CAD work, not so much for serious photoshop due to the color but I am fine with that. There is some banding with high color content and may affect your impression on the panel’s performance, this is not an issue for me as I am gaming and do not need the color accuracy as some may need. I had a 30 Dell High Color panel and the color was amazing, but it was close to 16ms response time and was a hog on the graphics card (2460 x 1600@60hz). 60hz on any panel regardless of color and size is not as immersive as a 120 or 144hz panel. I had tried a 23” 120hz panel when they first came out and liked the speed but was not overly impressed with the ghosting and ended up returning it. The 24” 144hz panel does not exhibit any ghosting or blur at all, you can read text clearly as it is dragged across the screen, not to mention the amount of detail you can obtain during a full blown shootout in a game. If your graphics card can handle the speed, your eyes will thank you for the upgrade. I have not tried any 3D content on this panel and this was not the reason I bought the panel, I bought it strictly for the 144hz feature, this requires a dual link DVI port on your video card and most new cards support this interface now. If you do gaming or CAD and want a LCD panel that launches your experience into the future of this technology; for the price this panel is a great choice.

This is my first monitor I have purchased since college years ago. Let me begin by giving a TL;DR: Excellent introductory 144hz monitor that has terrible color profiles out of the box. Let me begin by saying that this is my first 144hz monitor, and I couldnt be happier with my purchase. The response time is excellent and the refresh rate makes for buttery smooth performance for gaming, as well as day to day windows and linux use. The build quality is nice, and I quite like the stand for what it is. Its easy to adjust the height with two fingers, and the swivel on the bottom of the monitor stand has been a great for convenience. One thing that I didnt notice immediately was how terrible the calibration on this monitor is out of the box. It is EXTREMELY bright, and the color accuracy is lacking. Dont let this get you down, though. A few quick Google searches will reveal forum posts that explain how to set up windows color calibration profiles properly for this monitor. After following a few guides and tweaking my color and gamma settings, everything looks much, much better, and my eye strain due to the brightness was reduced greatly. This isnt a huge deal, but for the average user who has the take what you get mindset and doesnt think to calibrate the monitor, its worth mentioning that you shouldnt settle for good enough here. Your mileage may vary slightly, but it is definitely worth calibrating this bad boy. In the end, my significant other became jealous of my fancy new monitor. She loved it so much that we went to a local store and purchased a second one for her gaming rig as well! (I didnt want to wait for the device to arrive via Amazon. I know, I know.) Highly recommend. Rating 4 stars due to the poor color and brightness calibration out of the box. Other than that, this thing is bang on. Great job Asus.

The first time I discovered this product is when I was looking for monitors on amazon. I bought this monitor for the purpose to complete my computer setup. the specs of the monitor are it being 24 inches wide, 1920x1080p, and 144Hz. Strengths about this monitor are that it is 1080p, it has a refresh rate of 144hz, it has a 1ms response time, and it also has a cross hair in the middle of the screen for fps games. One thing that i love about this monitor is that is has a spot to hand your headphones comfortably behind the monitor and has cable organizers running down the back of the monitor. Weaknesses that I have to point out about the monitor is that it doesnt have the best eye support technology for long game sessions so it will strain your eyes over a period of time. Another weakness about this monitor is that it doesnt have the best speakers as they can muffle sometimes depending on what is playing through them. One more weakness about this monitor is that the panel used for the monitor isnt the best when faced in direct sunlight as it is hard to see the screen because of the glare. My final thought about this monitor is that it is a good product and I am satisfied with my purchase.

I order two of these monitors and I am more than satisfied. If youre in the market for a good 1080p monitor for gaming this is it, especially FPS games. That is assuming you have a video card setup than can make use of the 144Hz refresh rate. Even for fast paced action movies these monitors are great as your image stays clear even in the fastest of action scenes. I really noticed a huge difference in BF3 game play but like most people say not so much with non-FPS games. Sure its better for everything but not as noticeable out side of an FPS gaming. I read a lot of reviews on this monitor before my purchase and there were a lot of complaints about the colors being horrible. Well, they look just fine to me, maybe not the best but accurate enough at the very least if youre not OCD about it. I have mine set in Standard Mode, TraceFree 80, Color Temp Normal, and dropped the brightness to 80 and see zero problems with my colors. Theyre better than my previous monitors and far better than a lot of other monitors I have seen in my day. Something to note though, if you do not have a video card with two DVI connectors like myself, remember to buy the appropriate DisplayPort cable so you can run multiple monitors at 144Hz. It will not run at 144Hz off of an HDMI connection. You need to run it off of DVI with the supplied Dual Link DVI cables or buy DisplayPort cables separately for 144Hz. Couldnt be happier with my purchase as these monitors have a great feature set and require just a few minutes of browsing through the settings to tweak things to your liking. :)

For those of you that wanted a 144 Hz/1ms delay monitor for a good price, this monitor does the job. Please keep in mind that out of the box it does not come with a display port/DVI-dual link cable, so you will need to buy those as well if you want to reach 144 refresh rate. As other reviews said the monitor does have washed out colors, I used the settings below (courtesy of Reddit) which helped it a lot. Settings: -Theater mode -Contrast = 83 -Saturation = 42 -Color temp = user mode with all three set to 83 -Skin tone = natural -Sharpness = 50 -Trace Free = 40 -ASCR = On Getting 144 Hz on Windows 10: Also note the monitor will default to 60 Hz out of the box, even with a new cable. To change this on Windows 10 (with creators update) go to display settings, click display adapter properties, and then click the monitor tab and select the refresh rate you want. (if you have more than 1 monitor make sure to have the right one selected before trying to change the settings). Overall, for the price, its a good monitor, arrived quickly and in good condition. Will probably buy a second one to replace my other monitor, Overwatch looks great on it.
