> 24 hourI had occasional lag but not too bad. Before this I played on a plasma TV and never had a bit of lag. I was surprised since free synch is supposed to be better than playing on a tv. I liked that my eyes never burned like they do with an LED monitor so blue light is treated and I could play games all day without apparent eye strain. The most irritating thing is where the port for the HDMI and other cables are located. I had to practically turn it upside down to get the HDMI cable in and it comes out easily too.

> 24 hourWell for starters, this monitor is pretty great and can deliver some pretty stunning visuals. I upon buying this monitor was kind of upset upon unboxing it and playing with it, that is because I needed to make a ton of adjustments and figure out why I was getting such bad screen tearing...Turns out my graphics card wasnt setup to do what I wanted it to do. So that meant that I needed to do some research and learn a little more about the monitors functions as well, but after it was amazing!

> 24 hourLooking for a 4K monitor that wont break the bank? This is totally it. I love the clear text on this as it seems to reduce my eye strain, and the color work well for me. I mainly use it as a desktop monitor, game occasionally, and it all looks great. The gaming modes really bring out the color in games (if you like that look). I wish I can comment on the 4K gaming quality of it, but since my rig is too weak, I have to settle for 1440p quality on games, which look fine to me. It also has a VESA mount, which is why I got this one in the first place. Attaches to an arm mount with ease.

> 24 hourAfter a several month of use I am pretty satisfied with this monitor. I just needed a larger no frills monitor for coding and conferencing. My biggest complaint is that for a monitor with so many setting to protect your eyes from blue light, whenever my computer turns off or goes to suspend the screen goes completely, blindingly bright blue which defeats all the settings to protect your eyes, and your sleep. My second point of contention is its poor design. For such a large monitor there is only one VESA mount, and it is in a curved, circular recess (and used by the foot stand which you cant piggy-back on). You cant really mount a mini pc on the back which is so common these days even with an extension.

> 24 hourThis screen has amazing clarity and a great picture, when it’s working. I selected this particular monitor because the reviews said it worked great connected to a MacBook. While it works 80% of the time, the other 20% it either looks like this, doesn’t “wake up”, or becomes very pixelated (mainly when I navigate to certain websites). I’m disappointed because I really wanted this screen to work. But I’ve had it less than a month and I’m already having problems.

> 24 hourI got this monitor to replace a very old Dell as the 2nd display for my desktop. I use a more expensive and better one for my main display where I do my gaming, and this one for chat/email/web browser. The colors arent especially bright, but it is crisp and perfectly fine for the way Im using it. I wouldnt want it for the main display. Worth the price if you understand what youre getting and use it accordingly.

> 24 hourThis is a great monitor, dont get discouraged by the negative reviews! I encountered a lot of the problems mentioned in the negative reviews but got this thing running finely tuned with no flickering or image issues. ASUS gives you a lot of adjustments and settings on the OSD with the ability to save four profiles but none of the presets are that great out of the box and require some additional tweaking for the best picture. ASUS should have this more fine tuned when it leaves the factory for better plug and play compatibility...take note ASUS! The hardware you connect this to also makes a big difference, heres how my journey has gone since purchasing: I bought this (April 2020) to be a primary monitor that ran off a slightly older MSI gaming laptop with a nVidia GT 765M 2GB connected using the display port cable. This is where I encountered most of my problems with flickering and instability as the GT 765M was not able to handle the 3840 x 2160 resolution even with the laptop screen turned off. I gained the stability by turning the resolution down to 1920 x 1080 and by using the nVidia Recommended settings in the nVidia Control Panel. I found that tinkering with too many of these settings also resulted in flickering and blackouts. Not satisfied with this arrangement I recently decided to sell the MSI laptop and build a new micro atx tower (loved the laptop but always have been more a desktop fan because you have more upgrade options). My new tower has a Intel 10th Gen Core i3 chip with the built-in UHD Graphics 630 which has plenty of power to run this monitor at the full 3840 x 2160 resolution. UHD videos on Netflix and Disney+ look amazing and run smoothly. At the end of the day though its really dependent on the video or picture source, this also has a huge impact on the final quality (check out some of the 4K and 8K videos on YouTube while your adjusting and fine tuning the settings on the monitor). Colors look great and pop and the off viewing angles are great as well. After being on the two aforementioned systems, here are the monitor settings that I currently use: GameMode Blue Light Filter - Level 0 Brightness - 75 Contrast - 75 Saturation - 55 Color Temp - User Mode R-95 G-100 B-100 Skin Tone - Natural Smart View - OFF Sharpness - 50 (Already a high res monitor, too much decreases image quality) Trace Free - 60 (Already a high res monitor, too much decreases image quality) VividPixel - 25 (Already a high res monitor, too much decreases image quality) ASCR - ON Adaptive Sync/FreeSync - OFF (Graphics card on order, will update after install) GamePlus - OFF These are a good starting point for your initial setup (be sure to save your profile in one of the four available) or if your struggling to find a good combination. Obviously your system and personal tastes will vary and additional tweaking may be required. Cons: - The included stand has limited adjustment, it can only tilt the screen. Im assuming ASUS did this keep the cost low and most gamers will just mount on an arm anyways...I did and love it! - No USB connectors which I personally find convenient (bought a 4 port USB 3.0 hub for my desk) - Brightness could be better but most gamers probably wont mind, typically playing in darker environments. Hope this helps! (Updated 8/28/2020)

> 24 hourso Im using this for my laptop, but it can only run 4k at 30 fps, so i had to downgrade to get 60 fps (if you have a high end cpu or game console you should be able to get 4k at 60 fps). Also, there are alot of annoying settings that are just... ehh. Coming from a qhd lg monitor, this one just isnt that great in terms of viewing angles, its really just a cheaped out 4k. If you want to just play games on it, I think thats fine, like for me, if Im looking at an image, I dont see any problems, but the display itself can feel kind of cheap when surfing the web. Plus there were some other stuff too. The stand comes built in to it, and when I set it up, it was just really low, so I put this on a vesa stand I had, but that whole process took like 10 minutes of trying not to damage the screen at weird angles, while normally it wouldve been pretty instant. Ive had some issues with monitors I bought off of amazon, like the last one had a stuck pixel, so I was just happy that this one didnt have damage, but I might try to exchange this for an lg or samsung monitor

> 24 hourIm guessing this is JUST for gamers because other than making most of my programs unusable until I adjusted the DPI setting in the program properties, I cant tell a bit of difference from my old 1080 monitor. Ive played a few 2160 movies on it and they look exactly the same as they do on the 1080 monitor. Exactly. I use a dual monitor setup and I can pull a film from one monitor to the other while its playing--dont see any advantage to the 4K. It was a waste of money for me. I wish Id stuck with two 1080s instead of trying to upgrade.

> 24 hourGreat screen for 4K gaming and works great for the Xbox one x , switch to game mode and is already calibrated to great visuals and performance. Screen was bigger then I expected so that’s a bonus. BEWARE they do not put your ASUS box in an amazon box when delivering , because of this an employee stole my first monitor which amazon labeled under “missing.” After a complaint my second was delivered successfully but still did not change the packaging and almost had it stolen from right in front of my door. (I was lucky to arrive at my door as soon as it was delivered.) for this reason it’s not given a 5 star rating.
