Monitor is pretty good so far. Though the price was good for the resolution and refresh rate. You do have to do some messing around with the settings as the out of the box picture quality is absolute trash and just doesnt look good. My personal settings are: Brightness: 92 Contrast: 19 Saturation: 47 Cold Temp. Warm Sharpness: 60 And I found that Theater Mode looks pretty good. The only issue I have with the monitor is that the top of the screen looks the tiniest bit darker than the center or the bottom of the screen, BUT I only think that because I might be sitting a little too low, but at the same time my eyes are level about 3/4 from the bottom of the screen.

I bought this to replace a more expensive monitor the broke when just being moved to another room (didnt drop or bump it). I got this one cause it was more affordable and had good reviews, and didnt expect too much from it. Honestly though, I was very pleasantly surprised. Its good quality and seems really durable (which is a standard of Asus products). The screen settings had to be adjusted slight bit the clearity and sharpness is really good for a monitor of this price. I do graphic and web design work and this almost matched the $400 monitor it replaced. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone looking for a good monitor for a lower price.

I am disappointed in this monitor. I have 2 of these monitors paired with two of the ASUS VN279s. There is no such thing as pure white with these monitors. there seems to be a positional color temperature gradient that depends on my point of view. The top of the monitor has more of a warm color, the bottom is cooler. If someone walks up to your desk to see something, their view looking down at the monitor will make it appear soaked in cyan. also, the icons at the bottom of the screen are tinted blue. It’s very off putting to have these very mismatched color temps. Especially when my eyes are spaced and have a slightly different POV. I have played with the settings quite a bit, but since the problem relates to POV, all settings are just for a single POV and maybe 5 to 10 degrees up or down... lastly, light output is pretty low, I can never quite match my VN279s. There is quite a bit that they do right...

It might just be that Im upgrading from a 1080p from 2010, but I am quite satisfied. Nice and dark, great response, good connectivity, and the control nub on the back is easier to use than I expected. Text (and everything else) nice and clear. As a bonus, it even has a much smaller stand than my older, smaller monitor, freeing up a good bit of desk space. I havent seen any of the mentioned issues, using an Nvidia GPU. I did have an issue where half the screen was solid black when I first turned it on. Turns out, this was an Nvidia issue, and a simple driver update fixed it.

I got the monitor to use with my MacBook Pro for work purposes, works great, a little delay and flickering when I plug the hdmi connector to my MacBook Pro but only for the first 5-10 seconds, probably just enabling the settings for the dual screen function so I don’t mind. Works great, very clear and easy on the eyes. can’t speak to its gaming useage since I don’t game with it but I have watched movies and it looks great. At $250 it’s a great buy imo.

Seems to work quite well with my Surface Pro 7 and fusion360 CAD work. Only one day in, we’ll see how well it holds up. Apparently getting true 4k and no tracers or ghosting. Update One moth in service and still been a flawless experience.

After reading some of the negative reviews, I was hesitant about ordering this monitor, but I decided to just give it a try, and if I didnt like it, I would return it. I have been using this monitor for months now, and I have zero problems with it. There is no image ghosting at all when I watch movies. All of the text on the screen are super clear and sharp. And I didnt have a problem scaling up texts and icons in Windows 10 to 200% so everything isnt super tiny. I think all the negative reviewers had problems with their graphics cards or PC, or they are just computer illiterate. The little multi-function joystick button on the back of the monitor is very easy to use, and I havent had any problems with it. I hardly ever used the joystick button after the initial setup, since the monitor turns on and off with my PC. I use this monitor to watch movies all day everyday, and play videogames. And the picture quality and refresh rate is great. I have played Counter Strike Global Offensive on it, as well as Borderlands 3, and Cyberpunk 2077, and other games on it, and I have had zero problems at all. If youve had an ASUS monitor before, it is pretty much the same thing, with the same bezel design, the same material for the screen, except it is a lot larger, and has a higher DPI. I like the single joystick button in the back, which keeps me from having to feel around for the correct button to push. I give this monitor a 10 out of 10. And at 200 dollars it is a great deal. I would recommend this product to friends and family.

I didnt have any intention to buy a glossy screen. There was no clear statement about whether the screen is glossy or matte and all pictures didnt show its glossiness. Maybe its not very glossy but still glossy and will reflect some light and image from your back. There is also an extreme disadvantage about selecting input from multiple sources. There is no way to disable auto-select or fix the input source. You need to press buttons 3 or 4 times to switch the input source you want again and again if you switch your the input source on/off and there is another input source always on. This is very annoying and its possible this will shorten the button lifetime quickly as well.
