I bought this monitor to play on my PS4 and for upcoming PS5. Looks great. Going from a 32” to a 28” screen is great. More room on my desk. Just an FYI, or a “buyer beware” this monitor does not support HDR for PS4 Pro settings. Kind of a bummer but picture still looks great.

I got this monitor to replace a very old Dell as the 2nd display for my desktop. I use a more expensive and better one for my main display where I do my gaming, and this one for chat/email/web browser. The colors arent especially bright, but it is crisp and perfectly fine for the way Im using it. I wouldnt want it for the main display. Worth the price if you understand what youre getting and use it accordingly.

Pairs nice with ps 5 as a stand alone game center.

Ive had this monitor for a year and a week. You get what you pay for and Id like to divest myself of this one. The PC has an Intel Core i7-12700K and is using onboard graphics, which probably makes a difference here. Since opening this monitor, it has been a piece of hot junk. Pixels, sometimes individual, sometimes one row, sometimes 8 rows, act like theyre frozen and flash and change which rows are stuck. This isnt uncommon on a new 4k monitor to a much lesser extent, but it went away on my LG after a couple months and has only gotten worse on this thing with time. It has never ever recognized a displayport cable, always saying no signal, and Ive tried 3. In the last month, the screen started going black for 5 seconds at a time at random intervals. I might try a new HDMI cable to see if that solves anything, but I had really wanted to use the dp. The trick of power cycling the monitor with the cable in doesnt work. When I first opened it, HDMI 1 didnt really want to cooperate. I used HDMI 2 for a while until I tried switching ports to see if I could get the pixel insanity to stop, but they both produce the problem. I also rather hate that the thing has no options except to control brightness. It is super finicky to turn off. If you try to turn it off after the screen has gone into standby, you get back to the display selection and cant turn the monitor off from there. Honestly the monitor defaults to display selection when it gets overwhelmed. The comments about the narrow viewing angle are accurate. The thing is wildly fuzzy if you stand up and look down at it or are seated at too low an angle. It does have a decent tilt range for adjustment, but it isnt particularly sharp no matter what. Letters have a very noticeable halo always. There is a good chance that I am going to take the thing in to be recycled and buy a new one because no one deserves the torture of troubleshooting this piece of junk. Usually Asus monitors are fine, but avoid this like the plague for a pc.

For the money, I think the monitor is a good buy. I have 3 27 monitor a great tri-monitor stand that has VESA mounts. Since this is a 4K monitor. The other two monitors are 1080p monitors I made it, my main monitor The monitor menu system is easy to learn. My only real complaint its not bright enough

This is a great monitor for the price. I found that I had to have the right settings, then it looked great. I haven’t run any games on it, so I couldn’t rate that. But the 1 ms timing doesn’t hurt. I read a lot of very negative reviews about this monitor and evaluated it with these in mind. Most of them are way off base. Firstly, while some of the view modes are a little “washed-out”, I just set mine to either RGB or Theater mode. Theater mode is the best, in my opinion, because it gives the clearest, brightest picture. And it’s spectacular! I’m comparing it to my older 1900x1080 Samsung 144Hz monitor on the one hand and the OLED display on my iPhone. This monitor is not as bright as my old Samsung, but the colors are better. And this monitor’s color gamut almost seems comparable to my OLED iPhone! It’s really, really nice. Secondly, I reduced the output of only red and blue each, by 5%. This eliminated what was a little bias in the color balance that I didn’t like, but now it’s perfect! Thirdly, the whites are crisp and bright… I do have my brightness turned up to 100%, but a little lower down to 80% is fine too. I have my contrast a bit higher as well. The blacks are deep and true black. There is also subtlety in the display of gray shades. Fourthly, the resolution is awesome! So sharp and crystal clear. I’m doing photo editing on it and the nuances of high res pics come through great. I do not experience any of the display anomalies described in some of the negative reviews. Videos are smooth and spectacular. I did do a high res game benchmark and the display was fine. Looked great. But the video game benchmark result was average, because of the limiting factor of my older nvidia GeForce gtx 1650 card. I would definitely, if you have the money, get a better quality video card to power this monitor. I have been unable to get 10bit color to work, I’m pretty sure because I’m using an HDMI instead of Display Port cable. Also, this monitor is having no problem at all “waking up” when I power on my computer. It does take a little longer than my Samsung did; the screen just comes on as Windows is loading. If you are shopping for a budget computer monitor upgrade, want to save money, don’t really need a better $500 -$700 high res, high refresh rate, I highly recommend this one. 60Hz is just fine for me, looks great compared to my older 144hz monitor. I’m very impressed and pleased with this Asus monitor. The pictures I submitted for this speak for themselves. I can now update my review on this monitor with additional pertinent information. I just connected my monitor using a DisplayPort cable instead of the HDMI and found that graphics performance increased dramatically. My Passmark score for 3D graphics improved right away by more than 20%. I can now enable 10bit color and the display has improved significantly. The display now has even more clarity and brilliance than before when I said it’s spectacular. I just went: “Wow!!!”. Ultra HD videos are absolutely stunning and smooth. I gave this monitor an excellent score before, but now I’m floored! For the price, this monitor is a no-brainer. But do yourself a favor and connect it using a DisplayPort cable.

Monitor is pretty good so far. Though the price was good for the resolution and refresh rate. You do have to do some messing around with the settings as the out of the box picture quality is absolute trash and just doesnt look good. My personal settings are: Brightness: 92 Contrast: 19 Saturation: 47 Cold Temp. Warm Sharpness: 60 And I found that Theater Mode looks pretty good. The only issue I have with the monitor is that the top of the screen looks the tiniest bit darker than the center or the bottom of the screen, BUT I only think that because I might be sitting a little too low, but at the same time my eyes are level about 3/4 from the bottom of the screen.

I love the quality of this screen. received it and connected it to my PC. read some articles about the display port vs. HDMI. I decided to go with the Display port connection and of course had to install drivers. once the drivers were installed the free sync feature is great. knows what to display and when. the only thing i have to say is that if you think its plug and play at max res, youre sadly mistaken. there is a setting in the monitor that you have to turn on for the free sync feature to work and its oddly labeled. After that was figured out and my settings were correct and monitor calibrated, oh boy is it nice. i play a lot of Different genres of games and whether its a FPS or a RPG or a strategy game it out does what Ive known as a monitor for the price. highly recommended.

I didnt have any intention to buy a glossy screen. There was no clear statement about whether the screen is glossy or matte and all pictures didnt show its glossiness. Maybe its not very glossy but still glossy and will reflect some light and image from your back. There is also an extreme disadvantage about selecting input from multiple sources. There is no way to disable auto-select or fix the input source. You need to press buttons 3 or 4 times to switch the input source you want again and again if you switch your the input source on/off and there is another input source always on. This is very annoying and its possible this will shorten the button lifetime quickly as well.

The monitor has been working well for about a year, the display looks good, but I’m not playing games or editing photos so I’m not a good source for a critical review. What I find annoying is the screen saver. I’ve been unable to find any way to change the period before it goes to sleep or to disable it. You have to push a button on the back of the monitor to wake it up. If it’s in sleep mode and you want to turn it off, you have to push the button, wait for it to wake up, and then slide button to turn it off. LAME!
