> 24 hourused this on a 4.6 2valve. truck had spit out a plug and the owner had installed a helicoil insert with the swag in top, knurled seat. that failed and spit both out busting another coil mount. didnt use an air ratchet on this, its aluminum, do it by hand so you can feel the threads being cut, my opinion there... the drill and tap guide makes this a breeze to line up properly. jb weld the threads but only threads, clean off excess before inserting. once inserted and tightened, fire her up and warm up then shut down. let cure overnight. re-torque if needed. the heat cycle helps it set right and tight. ta-da, you just fixed a failed insert.

> 24 hourI got a returned set, it was held shut with a zip tie and had scuffs on it. When I opened it there were only the tread pieces and none of the tools. Useless! I ordered the set directly from CALVAN website so I get a new set. Will be returning this, what a mess!

> 24 hourIts cheaper than paying a shop $1k to fix a single cylinder but the kit cost almost $300 for just a drill bit, a tap, and some inserts which seems a little expensive. I guess its worth what people are willing to pay and apparently I was willing to pay it. Still seems expensive for what it is. I gave 4 stars for installation. The process of drilling and tapping the ports was easy. I blew out each cylinder a few times through the process and use a bore scope to make sure the cylinder was clean. I used anti-seize on the sparkplug threads and 500° thread locker on the insert threads. The hardest part was actually getting the insert to thread into the newly tapped port threads. It took dozens of tries and over 30-40 min just to get the insert to start to thread. I tried 4 different inserts and kept using the tap to freshen the the first few threads after every couple tries. Getting the insert to thread into the port was harder than the rest of the process combined. After I finally got the insert installed I let the truck set for 24 hours to allow the thread locker to fully dry and cure. Been driving it for a week now with no problems.

> 24 hourHad to fix the back cylinder on my V-10. Didnt have to remove anything. Tool fit under the cowling. Saved me lots of money not having to take truck to dealership or machine shop.

> 24 hourI have repaired one cylinder and have been using the truck. The plan is to install inserts in all other cylinders as preventive maintenance. This kit should have been standard equipment and included with the truck.

> 24 hourEasy to use. I watched a couple of YouTube videos and fixed my car with this kit. If you have a 2 valve Triton with an ejected plug this fixed mine.
