Blew a sparkplug out of my 1997 f150 5.4. Bought this and got right back on the road.

This is really a good deal. I blew out a spark plug on a 2000 ford f250 Super Duty with the 5.4 triton 2 valve engine. I was kind of hesitant to try this. But for the money to have it done, I tried it. I am so glad. I followed the instructions(You Tube) and took my time. I asked a mechanic friend about it and he said he has used this kit to replace several units on different trucks and has never had any return problems. I am so happy I bought this.

Did the job back on the road

Great repair kit. Follow the YouTube video by FordMakuLoco for the best step by step on how to professionally install the inserts yourself. Ten cylinders required 16 hours of my time but I took my time.

Perfect tool for the job

Fitting for the valve tube to pressurize and see if valves are closed is wrong. Does not hook to hose, it’s on there in reverse. Unusable. When you spend over $200 for the kit it’s pretty disappointing that this hasn’t been corrected.

Shipping was insanely fast. Just installed one of these, sure it wont be my last since I own 2 vehicles with triton motors. The quality of the kit seems very good, nice sharp threads on the inserts and the process probably took 20 minutes. The hardest part of the whole process is turning the engine to make sure the valves are closed. I didnt have an air ratchet, but an 18v cordless impact with a 1/2 socket worked just fine.

These plug insert kit worked great. I am not mechanically inclined and I was able to repair my fathers truck with enough research online and on Youtube. Its been at least half a year and no issues have risen from this repair.
