my engine had already had a repair done on that sparkplug hole that had failed. I thought I was going to be forced to replace the head but this kit was heavy duty enough to fix it and it stay fixed. its the best repair kit I have found.,

This tool was well worth the money because it saved me a lot of money and down time was minimal compared to having a shop remove the head from the engine and replace it

I have a 2000 f150 Triton 5.4 and after paying $600 for a garage to fix my cylinder threads I wanted a solution in case it happened again. It did of course and this kit saved me $300. And when it happens again Ill be saving more by having this kit . Its an easy fix that anyone can do with the help of a good you tube video. Highly recommend this kit for anyone with an early 2000s Triton 5.4l. WORTH EVERY PENNY!!!

Seemed a little pricey when I first look at it, but after watching the reviews, I made my decision to buy it and Im glad I did! Easy to use. Watch the videos on what tools and supplies you need, read the directions and follow them closely, take your time, and it will work like its supposed to. Rethreaded and replaced with an insert one cylinder in roughly an hour. Great kit!!

The drill bit didn’t fit in the guide I had to put the guide in the vise and drill it out to get it to fit through leaving the drill bit dulled. After drilling that out got to put it in the engine the guide didn’t fit in my spark plug hole on my 2001 f150 with 5.4. So I got ballsy tried to go free hand needless to say I’m putting a new head on and sending it back. I believe it to be counterfeit because it works perfectly on the YouTube videos of mechanics showing how it works. I think this is a good kit but please save yourself the headache and buy from calvan on a reputable tool site not amazon
