I recently purchase an iMac 2017 which came with 8 GB installed RAM, I am a photographer and use some heavy duty post processing software, PSCC, TopazLabs, and On1. I installed this ram before even setting up my new iMac. When I booted it up for the first time the RAM was recognized and all was well in my world. I am currently running 24GB of RAM and so far it is plenty for my needs.

I ordered this for my brand new 2017, 27-inch iMac, Retina 5K Display, the base model, and I can confirm that it works. I installed this as soon as the iMac arrived at my home without even turning it on first. Now I have 24GB of memory installed, and it runs flawlessly. I definitely recommend this.
