I added this using the rear access panel on the 27” iMac (smaller iMac doesn’t have it) I read other folks reviews to decide which RAM goes in which slot. Faced no issues. RAM jumped from 8GB to 24GB.

Simple to install the memory into the empty slots on the 27 iMac and you have 40 GBs of Ram. Just make you can feel it pop in. Check the Apple menu, About The Mac, Memory 40GB. Easy and perfect.

My 2017 IMAC failed to boot while this memory was installed. I tried moving the memory around to different slots. 1& 2, then 3&4, then 1&3, then 2&4. Nothing worked. I ensured the memory was properly installed. After I removed the Crucial memory the mac now boots properly.

The RAMM arrived the next day and it worked perfectly. I have bought from this company several times before and they are very reliable. I have an iMac and it was installed in less than 5 minutes. Great products!

Good quality

I bought one 64G kit (32G * 2) to pair with the original 8G (4G * 2). To maintain a dual-channel, the Mac downgrade the memory frequency from 2666 to 2133. So I have to purchase another 64G kit (32G * 2) to achieve dual channel and max frequency.

I ordered this for my brand new 2017, 27-inch iMac, Retina 5K Display, the base model, and I can confirm that it works. I installed this as soon as the iMac arrived at my home without even turning it on first. Now I have 24GB of memory installed, and it runs flawlessly. I definitely recommend this.
