It has made my computer much faster and as I added 12,000 photos to my iPhoto, it allows editing them faster as well.

Rather than purchase optional RAM from Apple for inclusion in my new 2020 version iMac27, I purchased my RAM upgrade from Crucial for half the price charged by Apple. The single 32 GB chip installed on in less than 2 minutes and worked properly from the computers first power up after the new chip was installed. I purchased my RAM expansion from Crucial, just as I had done when I purchased my first iMac, some ten years ago. In that machine, the Crucial RAM chips worked perfectly for the life of the computer.

Wow! After 1 full day of frustration with the Corsair RAM I decided to give up and order this instead. No hassle. Put it in empty slots 2 & 4, with OEM RAM in 1 & 3. Took 17 seconds to initialize on my 2017 5K iMac and boom. Should have ordered this from the very beginning!

I added 32GB of Crucial memory so my iMac would not stutter when surfing the net or typing emails or word processing and it did nothing to help. Everything is the same after adding 32 GB to the already 8 GB I had in it.Now 40GB and no difference as when I had 8GB in the iMac. Cost $140 something dollars and no improvement. Very disappointed. Only good thing is was very easy ti install in 5 minutes. That was not because of the memory but the iMac makes adding more RAM a snap.
