Installation took less than 3 minutes . I have a 2017 iMac 3.8 ghz and I inserted the ram in the open slots , did not move the original Mac ram at all . Closed the back up , hit the power button and it took about 30 seconds to boot up and recognize the the memory and like magic there was the apple logo on the screen .

Easy to install and after a month, my iMac is working perfectly and fast.

Great alternative to apple’s horrible price for ram upgrade

I have found it almost impossible to find specific details about compatible ram for my imac 27 all in one.

So far, my computer is sooooo much more powerful. I have a 2017 iMac Retina 5k, that came with 2x 4gb memory cards and it was not fast enough to do my digital painting while using quicktime to record my screen. Anyway, I finally got the cards in the right order so that the memory cards were in the right order for my computer to use the 16gb cards first. I was not sure if I had done it right because when I tried to turn my computer on nothing happened.... but it was just detecting the memory I guess. so just be patient after you put your memory in.

Background: I have a Mac mid 2017 and have used it lightly. Back in 2017 I felt the 8GB ram that came with it was a bit light, but an upgrade cost $330+ so I decided to wait. Recently I needed to edit and upload videos (using iMov). The computer felt a little sluggish. I ordered this kit on Amazon on Sunday and it arrived the next evening! I installed the units in ~5 minutes and have been enjoying 40GB of ram.
