> 24 hourI use it every day. Coming from an upright that was 15 years old, this is so much easier to use! Lugging the old one out of the utility closet to clean was a chore. This hangs conveniently on a wall and I rarely say this about cleaning, but this Dyson product makes cleaning fun. It works brilliantly for all my needs and comes with a load of accessories! Get one. If you are in doubt, as I was, try it out. You will not be disappointed.

> 24 hourEven though there are close to 5,000 reviews on this product and this will probably never get read, I feel compelled to write something because this has been a game-changer for me. Apparently, bending down and plugging in a vacuum was inhibiting to using my former vacuum. I did not know this until I got the Dyson. The Dyson is always charged up, and now I can just grab it and start to vacuum. No more stooping down and trying to pick up one hair off the bathroom floor (where, you know, theres never just one.) Instead, I just run in with this cordless vacuum cleaner. So convenient! Its also easier than my previous vacuum to switch out the attachments and seems just as powerful, even though it is much smaller. But its small size makes it a lot more nimble and easier to get in awkward and tiny spaces. So yes, it has a nice amount of pros. But if Im being honest, the best part about it is the no bending down to plug in a cord. I know this seems like such a minuscule benefit and of course, there are other vacuums that do this. But this one is powerful, unlike my other cordless vacs. Really, it does everything my giant full-size vacuum did but it does it better and because its so convenient, I use the vacuum more and have more positive connotations with this one. I dont know anyone who really likes to spend their money on boring vacuums and that kind of thing, but I see what all the hype is about. I am not a neat freak yet I use this all the time and my house feels so much cleaner. So happy I made this purchase!

> 24 hourMy V11 Torque Drive vacuum arrived without issues. I had no problems with the floor brush like some customers have experienced. PROS Appearance It looks nice with its metallic blue color. Plus because of its compact size, it isnt an eyesore if you have to store it in a visible location instead of a closet. LCD Display Its so great knowing how much power is left rather than having to guess how much time I can vacuum before the battery dies. The display also assist in troubleshooting issues like blockages or improper attachment of filter and accessories. Powerful cleaning This vacuum sucks in the good sense of the word. Sensible Accessories There is no unwieldy accordion hose in here. The set of included accessories are stuff I actually would want to use. Im more partial to the combination brush, the motorized brush for upholstery, and the crevice tool, but the whole accessory set seems well thought out. Easy to empty The dust bin is easy to empty, with only one caveat explained in the cons below. CONS Its Heavy! The V11 Torque looks more lightweight than it actually is. As someone with a medical condition, pushing the V11 around takes much more effort than I was hoping for. And the problem isnt resistance from the floor/carpet brush head. Even when used as a handheld vacuum, you will feel the weight. Trigger-happy This vacuum is operated with a trigger that you have to keep pressed for as long as youre using the vacuum. I wish there was a way to lock it in the on position. The trigger doesnt require much pressure to activate though, which is fine while youre vacuuming, but pure evil when youre emptying the dust bin. Long recharge time Battery life is okay for a cordless vacuum, but the 4.5 hours of charging time is too much. I wish this thing had a quick charger, especially considering the size of the power adapter. Speaking of which... What is it with Dyson and incredibly huge power adapters?! I have their hair dryer, the V11 Torque vacuum and the TP04 air purifier, and its like their engineering teams competed for who could get away with using the biggest power plug they could make. The AC adapter for the V11 Torque is not as huge and unwieldy as the power adapter for the TP04 purifier, but its still big and may fall off from outlets with weak grip or outlets mounted sideways. CONCLUSION Dyson products are typically regarded as pricey. Im not sure the V11 Torque is worth the asking price but unlike with their hair dryer, Im not ready to say this vacuum is overpriced. Im torn on whether or not to recommend the V11.

> 24 hourPROS: - The suction is as good as our kirby and Oreck 1300. It beats both when you add in its maneuverability. Really impressed. - I thought holding in the switch would be an issue but it isnt at all. Its very light. In fact, its hard to even pick it up without turning it on. - Battery life is amazing. Ive never run it down, even when I did all the hardwood and tile on boost mode. - LOVE Auto mode. Genius. CONS: - I found small particles like litter get spun out from the torque head on tile. So I purchased the V10 soft roller head for hardwood and tile (Note that Auto mode doesnt work with it). - The weight gets to me if I do all the hardwood and tile floors at once, and our house is small (1500sqft w/~60% tile or hardwood). Part of it might be the wheels on the V10 soft roller head move *so* easy I think I expend more energy just keeping it where I want it. Maybe thats why they got rid of it on the V11. I dont have an issue with the weight when using the torque head on carpet. - I dont like the brush attachments on the dyson. The bristles are just one row and have large gaps which lets a lot of air escape, significantly reducing the suction. I was surprised at this. I looked for aftermarket brushes but they just copy the dyson design. Luckily one of my old brush heads fit. - This is so convenient I find that I vacuum more often A tip I found for rugs - put it in Eco mode and open the vent in the torque head (red switch). Then it doesnt pull the rug up into the torque head. That works just as well as the soft roller.

> 24 hourWere long-time Dyson users and have been generally pretty happy with their products. This V11 cordless product is so woefully underwhelming that I felt like I literally flushed $600 down the toilet. I just vacuumed this morning, and Im still pretty agitated from the experience so bear with me. It is winter and we have a yard. Leaf bits do get dragged in along with blades of dead grass. We have a Giant Schnauzer who doesnt hardly shed and two cats. Our floors are mostly bare tile and wood, tho we do have an 9x12 area rug in one area. Total area being vacuumed is around 600 sq ft. Not once this morning did I have to dump the (small) canister because it was full. i did, however, have to take the wand off, take the canister outside, slide it open, and dislodge hair and debris from the (very small) inlet hole between the wand and the canister. SIX TIMES! Not sticks or rocks or other hard objects...just blades of grass, some leaf debris, and a little hair. And, just to be clear, pulling out the visible blockage at the inlet wont do because there is stuff backed up into the internal wand centered in the canister. To get up into the center of the canister requires a thin stick or a coat hanger and a bit of finagling...all while holding this dusty canister outside where the slightest breeze causes a dust storm right in front of the person trying to unblock the canister. Ive come to the conclusion that Dyson engineers must have tested this on glitter in a lab setting while wearing hazmat suits. Oh, and lest I forget, if you have one of these rugs that has the surface cut at the same height, forget it. To keep this vacuum from bogging down on our area rug, this product has to be turned to the ECO setting which means there is barely any suction. In essence, I could sweep that rug with a broom and get more stuff off of it. It does do okay on sculptured rugs for what its worth. There are some good points about this product: highly maneuverable, good battery life, lightweight. In the end, tho, I could have gotten all that with a much, much cheaper cordless vacuum.

> 24 hourI was cautious prior to buying this and read all the negative reviews but decided to buy. Glad I did. I wanted to comment on some of the negative comments with my opinion to help skeptical buyers like myself. So, 1. the plastic wall mount base, its not to flimsy. It holds the vacuum great if you slam it around like rubber weights in the gym. 2. If you see my picture I mounted it so its supported with the attachment on to help hold the weight and prevent the bottom from being caught. It has a lot of leverage on drywall anchors if its torqued on, as is anything mounted on sheet rock. I did this for my V7 as well and has worked great for years. 3. Use the right settings for the head when going from carpet to hardwood; the center setting or minus setting (letting in more air) and it works great. It picks up sand, cherries, screws, peanuts or what ever just fine. 4. Its not the manufactures fault there isnt an outlet in your closet. 5. The directions are vague and little under done, but this isnt a complicated item either. 6. Is this the right vacuum is the biggest question of all. I have a V7 for the second floor that is all carpet and it works great for about 1000 sq. ft. of quick clean up and is about $200 less. We went with this for the downstairs because we were too lazy to keep going upstairs and this one worked better transitioning on an off our rugs to hardwood that we on the first floor. We have a 1 year old and teenagers so this was a great addition that quickly and efficiently keep the floors clean for the baby. Im so over swiffer mops that dont really work. 7. Deep cleaning ability is good. We have a Kirby that we use one time a year (just before we have the carpets shampooed). The other 364 days of the year the Dysons do all the work. 8. Battery life, great in this V11. If you need more, vacuum more often or make life changes..lol. Ive cleaned the whole bottom floor and used on the car and still never got below 50% on the V11. The v7 would have needed to be charged at least once for that amount. So that maybe a decision point. Lastly the V11 has been said to be unbalanced in weight and awkward. If you see the second picture and use the attachment holder it offsets the slight misbalance. But really, it is 6 lbs. if that gives you issues get a gym membership, really. Oh and the V11 has a detachable battery that the v7 doesnt. If multiple charges for long runs is what you may need then that maybe a decision point. If not you may want to save some cash and go with the v7. Ive also purchased cheaper model of cordless vacuums but they dont last and preform like Dysons so youll get what you pay for.

> 24 hourI have long believed, perhaps incorrectly, that Dysons high prices were unwarranted given the how they performed against the competition. Although Dyson offered unique innovations, the performance differences did not justify the cost in my opinion. I disclose this information because I want you to know that I am NOT a Dyson shill or even a fan boy. This is my first Dyson and only purchased after EXTENSIVE research... and I do mean extensive. I spent hours watching and reading independent reviews. If you are reading this review, perhaps you are in the midst of the same exhaustive process. Maybe I can save you some time - STOP READING & CLICK BUY! Seriously! OK, if youre still reading... then you are definitely more like me (which may not be good). I was initially looking for 3 things when deciding what vacuum to purchase [1] cleaning performance - duh, [2] ease of use / maintenance, and [3] reliability. However, once I dove into the process, my list expanded to include [1] battery performance, [2] flexibility in application, and [3] fatigue considerations*. * - I wanted to consider fatigue because, if I was going to utilize the vacuum based on flexibility, I needed it to work flexibly but to do so practically. In other words, flexible application that would actually be used because it is designed well, balanced appropriately, etc. So all this led to the ultimate question... can this stick / battery powered vacuum replace my corded Shark? By the way, Ive owned many horrifically expensive vacuums in the past and came to the conclusion that I dont keep any longer than 5 years because of the advancements in cleaning. Well, I cannot answer whether or not this has fully replaced the Shark... but I can tell you that I am definitely leaning in that direction. [1] I use this vacuum daily - I NEVER did that with the corded vac. [2] This vacuum absolutely compares in cleaning performance - much to my surprise. [3] Not dealing with a cord is a HUGE benefit and one that I could never describe adequately. I didnt think so (intellectually), but WOW, and I mean WOW. It is really hard to imagine using the corded vac unless I absolutely must. [4] It is light, maneuverable, well-built, quiet, and easy to use. I have only been using this vacuum for a few days... so if things go sideways - I WILL BE BACK TO LET YOU KNOW! This isnt a cheap vacuum, so my expectations are that, properly maintained, it will not break or degrade in performance. I hope this helped. So long as this purchase will not harm you financially, I truly recommend this vacuum. If you have a lot of hard surface flooring, you may wish to consider one of the felt roller head attachments (3rd party offer some for about $60 as opposed to the Dyson at $130). I also purchased a trigger lock, to reduce finger fatigue during protracted vacuum sessions. And finally, an extension hose and extra filters. If you do purchase, make certain to watch some of the great videos on YouTube explaining how to pull apart the vacuum every 6 months or so (depending on usage) to super clean / maintain the system. ENJOY

> 24 hourI bought the Dyson Animal in 2007 and had it for 10+ years. It was still fully functional but was just getting too heavy and cumbersome for me to use in my small apartment. I was able to sell my old, fully working dyson (which still had amazing pick up btw) for $75. I sold a few other household items and then, I was able to buy my dyson at a great price here on amazon. :-) I also have a small ergorapido vacuum but i was getting extremely frustrated at how poor the suction was. It is essentially useless and was a waste of $100. I am trying to sell that too but alas, no one is biting!! Not surprised there!!! First off, it was better than Christmas when this new dyson arrived. The boxing was impeccable and each piece is high quality. I was very excited to use my vacuum because my apartment had not been thoroughly deep cleaned in a while!! The old dyson being way too difficult for me to maneuver with my back problem and the ergorapido being completely USELESS. My allergies were also really flaring up with all the dust!! So, the first time I used the V11 I was extremely impressed with the pick up capacity. I was able to clean the vacuum my entire apartment, with base boards and detailing of dusty furniture and blinds, in under 45 minutes one morning before I went to work. I couldnt believe how much dust there was but already my eyes and sinuses are LESS itchy. I emptied the canister twice because I picked up so MUCH DUST. Although it was slightly heavier than I was anticipating, it is MUCH lighter and easier to maneuver than my old dyson animal. I didnt break a sweat like I did with the old dyson. It rolls very smoothly and the AUTO adjustable function between the rug and carpet saves A LOT OF TIME. I was able to clean so much more in less time because I wasnt messing with a cord and switching between the different functions constantly. I was able to complete EVERYTHING on one charge of course with plenty of time to spare. I love all the attachment heads that come with it. I am also VERY much looking to keeping my car more clean on a regular basis now that I have a portable vacuum with great attachments as well! I also really like the feature where you can remove the roller from the side of the vacuum head. I have long hair and wanted something that I would be able to easily remove the hair! I was unable to unscrew the side of it easily but that was ok because I was still able to pull the hair out pretty easily, much more easily than other vacuums I have used in the past. CAVEATS: Make sure to empty the vacuum BEFORE there is too much stuff in it! Debris WILL get caught if it goes above the line! I had to spend a little time really getting the canister cleaned out before I started round 2 because my hair got caught above the line! Next time, I will empty it sooner! Vacuuming just got so much easier I barely even noticed how much I was really picking up so fast! Now that my apartment is so clean, the V11 will make it much more enjoyable and easier for me to maintain a cleaner home. I will be vacuuming more frequently now to maintain areas because of the ease of using the vacuum. It is a highly effective vacuum and there isnt much of a need to have to run the vacuum over multiple times in one location. It picks up what it rolls over very well. For installation of the hanging charging station on the wall, make sure you have a drill on hand to make the holes for the screw to go into! It didnt say that in the directions but you will need a drill to make the pilot holes! :-) I love that you can hang the vacuum out of sight just about anywhere near an outlet! I am VERY pleased with my purchase and my dyson upgrade! I can see this one lasting me at least another ten years which to me is worth it, considering my last one was still going for over 10+! I also love the interface. It is a really really COOL vacuum and it was worth the effort to let go of my old dyson for a new one!
