My partner and I love this vacuum. All of the attachments make it very versatile for use around the house. It does especially a great job on hard floors. I love that it can easily turn into a handheld vacuum which is great for use on stairs and dusting applications. It is not my first choice for thick carpet though as the power doesnt adapt very well so it kind of grabs onto the carpet and becomes difficult to move. My only other complaint is that it is a little bit on the heavy side.

Just got the dyson v11 torque drive today. I fully charged it and tested it out. Overall design and technology is fantastic, the dustbin is super easy to empty, and battery life is long. The wall mount holds 2 attachments, and the tube of the vacuum has a clip that also holds 2 more attachments as well. The digital display is convenient, counts down how much battery life is left in real time. Ive tried several other vacs and returned them all, finally decided to try dyson. The power this vacuum has surpasses all others. My only cons are that on thicker rugs, its harder to push, but thats because the suction is so strong. Also I prefer am on/off switch instead of trigger. Time will tell if this vac is worth it. Also, if you buy this vacuum, ONLY PURCHASE DIRECTLY FROM AMAZON LLC!! IF YOU BUY FROM A 3RD PARTY SELLER, DYSON WILL NOT HONOR THE 2 YR WARRANTY. I did my research before I made the purchase, contacted dyson about the warranty details. There are sellers on Amazon that will lie to you and say the warranty is guaranteed, and even have it in the description. Dont do it. I will update with more details on longevity in a couple months.

I was cautious prior to buying this and read all the negative reviews but decided to buy. Glad I did. I wanted to comment on some of the negative comments with my opinion to help skeptical buyers like myself. So, 1. the plastic wall mount base, its not to flimsy. It holds the vacuum great if you slam it around like rubber weights in the gym. 2. If you see my picture I mounted it so its supported with the attachment on to help hold the weight and prevent the bottom from being caught. It has a lot of leverage on drywall anchors if its torqued on, as is anything mounted on sheet rock. I did this for my V7 as well and has worked great for years. 3. Use the right settings for the head when going from carpet to hardwood; the center setting or minus setting (letting in more air) and it works great. It picks up sand, cherries, screws, peanuts or what ever just fine. 4. Its not the manufactures fault there isnt an outlet in your closet. 5. The directions are vague and little under done, but this isnt a complicated item either. 6. Is this the right vacuum is the biggest question of all. I have a V7 for the second floor that is all carpet and it works great for about 1000 sq. ft. of quick clean up and is about $200 less. We went with this for the downstairs because we were too lazy to keep going upstairs and this one worked better transitioning on an off our rugs to hardwood that we on the first floor. We have a 1 year old and teenagers so this was a great addition that quickly and efficiently keep the floors clean for the baby. Im so over swiffer mops that dont really work. 7. Deep cleaning ability is good. We have a Kirby that we use one time a year (just before we have the carpets shampooed). The other 364 days of the year the Dysons do all the work. 8. Battery life, great in this V11. If you need more, vacuum more often or make life changes..lol. Ive cleaned the whole bottom floor and used on the car and still never got below 50% on the V11. The v7 would have needed to be charged at least once for that amount. So that maybe a decision point. Lastly the V11 has been said to be unbalanced in weight and awkward. If you see the second picture and use the attachment holder it offsets the slight misbalance. But really, it is 6 lbs. if that gives you issues get a gym membership, really. Oh and the V11 has a detachable battery that the v7 doesnt. If multiple charges for long runs is what you may need then that maybe a decision point. If not you may want to save some cash and go with the v7. Ive also purchased cheaper model of cordless vacuums but they dont last and preform like Dysons so youll get what you pay for.

I bought this to see if I liked it enough to keep it, and in the end I did keep it, but here are the things I learned. First, my house is 2700 square feet with lots of steps. It’s also about 50% carpet and the other half hard wood or tile. I did most of the house in one full charge. I usually do half the house at a time anyway so the battery life is great. It took about 50 minutes for it to die (again doing carpets) so I’ve felt like the battery lasts as long if not longer than advertised. Also, I have 2 dogs so pet hair is everywhere. It works well to get the hair out of the carpet. We’ve only ever had cheaper dirt devils before so I don’t have much to compare to, but the suction was fine. I wasn’t blown away by it but have not noticed a difference which is impressive for a cordless vacuum. I saw a few people comment on the weight of it and it tiring out your forearms. I noticed the same thing especially while doing stairs. But it works great for stairs overall. The end is significantly smaller than most vacuums so doing a large living room takes a lot longer and feels sort of annoying. For me this is a worthwhile trade since I can get under and around more things now. One annoying piece is the stand that hangs on the wall. It has two spots to hang attachments and then there is a piece that clips to the vacuum for two attachments. It comes with 4 attachments but the stairs attachment doesn’t fit on either one so it has to be stored separately. Would be great if they could design a way to clip that in as well. I also read someone else’s review saying this rips off the wall. I screwed to a stud to be safe so it may be worth thinking about that when installing. Larger anchors could fix that as well if you don’t have a stud where you want this. Lastly the price...I’m keeping it so I guess that means I think it’s worth it. But I really am annoyed it costs so much. That is the biggest thing that keeps me from recommending it because I know a lot of people that just can’t afford to pay that much for a vacuum.

I use an older Dyson upright and my wife uses a Bissell stick vacuum After one month: NO MORE CORDS! The V11 is light in weight but heavy on convenience and the suction is amazing. My wife has rheumatoid arthritis and I worried how she would be able to use the V11 with the works in the handle. She says it is as easy to use as the stick vac. It is very well balanced. The trigger switch has not been an issue for either of us. Maneuvering the vacuum head is dead easy and so much more convenient than the fixed heads of other vacuums. The vacuum head goes under cabinet overhangs and furniture, something the upright can’t do. The powered brush head does an excellent job on wood floors. Cleaning ceiling air and filter vents is so much more easy. I was skeptical how the V11 would handle the few short pile area rugs but it cleans them just fine. We have not run out of battery power cleaning our 2300 square foot house. The light weight, convenience and powered head means many small jobs go to the Dyson instead of the Dust Buster. Emptying is easy. My one concern is dust accumulation on the inside surfaces of the vacuum. I use an air compressor to blow out the dust accumulation in the innards of the Dyson upright and it is amazing how much there is. I’ve cleaned the V11 the same way and dust accumulation in it is also amazing. I can’t imagine not having an air compressor to clean these vacuums. The most important point I want to reiterate is that the convenience, light weight and maneuverability of the V11 means floors get vacuumed more often! What is the value of convenience, ease of use and good cleaning? Despite the initial cost, this vacuum can handle the jobs as well if not better than our other vacuums but with magnitudes more ease and convenience.

First, the good — and it’s mostly good — for some reason, the pricing was down from what I’d expected. Still not cheap, but less than $500. I bought ‘The Animal” not ‘The Torque” drive. The only difference is the digital sophistication of the readout on the motor indicating battery life, etc. That option looked nice, but I figured I didn’t need it. The battery life is very good. The suction on this machine is in the WOW range ... but there is a downside to that. I’m thinking that the suction on the ECO setting is about the same as the V10’s suction on the AUTO setting, but I’m not sure. You can hear the change in power when you move the roller from hard floor to the carpet ... and that’s where the problem lies. I have new carpeting (one reason I upgraded to the V11 - I’m a Dyson cordless stick vac devotee and have had one for years). The V11 will NOT move across the new carpet in AUTO mode. I admit that I find this a bit distressing as I can’t take advantage of the additional power of the machine. The carpet is Mohawk Smartstrand Silk, and very soft and thick. Fortunately if set on ECO, the vacuum operates across the carpet pretty much like the old one did on the AUTO setting.... so, in the end, I suspect that I’m getting about the same suction power as with the older vacuum on AUTO. The V11 is also noticeably heavier, but I can handle it and it doesn’t bother me too much. Still, I struggle with the idea that there is a setting that I can’t use... and one hates to have a top of the line machine that has a problem of this nature. ... and YES, I have the air gates wide open.

I bought a Dyson V10 a few years ago, and I love it. I moved to a new house, and my stuff has been in storage for several months, and my place was just getting too dusty for simple sweeping clean and/or mopping the floors. So I decided to give the V11 a chance. The Time Remaining Meter: Thats a cool feature, but not terribly important for me personally. It was easy to get accustomed to how much vacuuming I could do with the V10 before I had to charge it again. The Real-Time Carpet/Floor Adjustment: Not very impressed with the smart speed setting when rolling over throw rugs, at least. I have tile and wood floors, and only have small throw rugs in the bathroom, for example. It doesnt really register and speed up until Im about 40%-60% done with the 3x5 carpet. I think it would be more convenient if you have larger carpet space to vacuum over. Conclusion: Other than those two additions, this is basically the V10, but revised. Either model is a good purchase. I only had cheap $30-$40 Dirt Devil small vacuums for 20+ years, and got tired of the terrible efficiency. It also was annoying when a model I had would no longer have replacement bags and pieces after a couple/few years. The Dyson was initially something that made me think What the heck are you doing spending this much for a VACUUM?!, only to go home and vacuum my entire place in 20 minutes. I was floored (pun intended), because it used to take 20 minutes to do just the living room! So I recommend considering these models if you want a mobile, not too heavy, and reliable vacuum that is really easy to empty the dust into the trash. The attachments are nice as well, but... ADVICE: Adjust your budget to include the fluffy cleaner head. That is amazing if you have tile and/or wooden floors.

I vacuumed around the kitchen/living area first. my dad had me order him one right after we both saw how much hair/dirt we got out of the carpet and couch in just one vacuum session! He would never spend this much on a product but he said “it sucks better than a —“ I’m not going to finish the rest. Just buy it!! Lol

Dysons are expensive but I wouldnt buy anything else. We have 2 German shepherds and even if we didnt, Id buy this. Amazing how much it picks up while regular vacuums pick up so much less. The amount of hair and dust it picks up every couple days....I could make a wig.

So I should Premise that I only use this on the max setting , that is the highest of the 3 settings. So on the high setting I love it. It only lasts 15 minutes but my god will it suck so much dirt out of your carpet more first then you even new was there. ( it’s disgusting but awesome ) — it’s like the Kirby but with out 200 pounds and ten minutes of prep time. The problem is once you use the vacuum on the high setting you never wanna go back down because it doesn’t work nearly as well yes it will pick up all the dirt you can see but after picking up all the dirt can’t see you just simply can’t ever use the regular setting again maybe for someone with hardwood but I have carpet. One thing is after I first bought it I went on a cleaning spree and the next day my elbow hurt and it continued to hurt for almost a month I’m holding the vacuum above my head I think but it’s not the vacuum spot I’m out of shape so I’m not really holding that against it. But be warned I wouldn’t suggest anyone’s grandmother vacuum their blinds or tapestries with it for that reason. Also I definitely suggest purchasing the offbrand stand that goes with it because it just makes it so neat and easy for all of the attachments and riches place over on its stand which also keeps charging. I am however afraid to vacuum up anything nasty or sticky because of the cost of the vacuum and since the filter is reusable I don’t know I’m just worried I vacuumed up wet dog hair once with the Kirby planet has not horrible ever sense so that that kind of bothers me when you pay so much for something you’re hesitant to do certain things with it because you might break it which then overrides the purpose of getting it in the first place but I still like it
