> 3 dayIve never had a cordless vacuum before. Ive had a corded Dyson for several years, and it was time to get a new one. I did my research, and landed on the V11 Animal. There are other versions of the V11 that just have more attachments, but I know Im only going to use 2 or 3 of them, anyway, so this one was perfect. Im impressed how long the battery lasts. I almost bought the V11 Outsize, because of it having 2 batteries, but I figured that the area I need to vacuum wasnt that big, and one battery would probably work just fine. I was right. Im vacuuming about 1800 sq ft, with a mix of tile and carpet, and the battery indicator didnt even go down. There are 3 bars of battery life. I figured it would at least go down to 2 by the time I had finished, but all 3 were still lit. I do have more tile than carpet, and on auto mode, it does automatically use lower power for the tile and higher power for the carpet, and the couch. This thing is great. I was a bit worried that the smaller head was going to be a problem, where Id have to make more passes to cover the same area as my old corded vacuum, but its fine. In fact, because the head is not so wide, I can vacuum places under furniture, etc. that I couldnt reach before without switching to one of the attachments. All in all, this is a great machine. Ive been really impressed with Dysons technology.

> 3 dayI bought this to see if I liked it enough to keep it, and in the end I did keep it, but here are the things I learned. First, my house is 2700 square feet with lots of steps. It’s also about 50% carpet and the other half hard wood or tile. I did most of the house in one full charge. I usually do half the house at a time anyway so the battery life is great. It took about 50 minutes for it to die (again doing carpets) so I’ve felt like the battery lasts as long if not longer than advertised. Also, I have 2 dogs so pet hair is everywhere. It works well to get the hair out of the carpet. We’ve only ever had cheaper dirt devils before so I don’t have much to compare to, but the suction was fine. I wasn’t blown away by it but have not noticed a difference which is impressive for a cordless vacuum. I saw a few people comment on the weight of it and it tiring out your forearms. I noticed the same thing especially while doing stairs. But it works great for stairs overall. The end is significantly smaller than most vacuums so doing a large living room takes a lot longer and feels sort of annoying. For me this is a worthwhile trade since I can get under and around more things now. One annoying piece is the stand that hangs on the wall. It has two spots to hang attachments and then there is a piece that clips to the vacuum for two attachments. It comes with 4 attachments but the stairs attachment doesn’t fit on either one so it has to be stored separately. Would be great if they could design a way to clip that in as well. I also read someone else’s review saying this rips off the wall. I screwed to a stud to be safe so it may be worth thinking about that when installing. Larger anchors could fix that as well if you don’t have a stud where you want this. Lastly the price...I’m keeping it so I guess that means I think it’s worth it. But I really am annoyed it costs so much. That is the biggest thing that keeps me from recommending it because I know a lot of people that just can’t afford to pay that much for a vacuum.

> 3 dayI wish I could return this product. I’ve had this product since January of 2020. It worked well for about one year. But it hardly works now. Barely picks up hair. I have to change the filter each time I use it. When I’m done with it and go to hang it up, it drops a bunch of dirt and stuff that was supposed to be sucked up. I’m in the market, yet again, for a new vacuum. Super disappointed.

> 3 dayI am the vacuum King. I think I have owned every vacuum on the market and none of them were really that great . I have a regular large corded Bissell that I normally use but the damn thing is so heavy, its like trying to push a bus so I started using a cordless vacuum for my kitchen. I end up doing the whole house but it just wasnt strong enough and it only lasted about 20 minutes. Ive always wanted a Dyson but never wanted to spend the money thinking all vacuums are the well I am beyond shocked on how well this vacuum performed. I actually cannot believe it,used this vacuum for tile floors in my whole house and all the shag area rugs. I still had 60% power left and I had to empty it three times thats how much stuff it picked up when I just vacuumed 3 days ago, I have a dog that sheds unbelievably, its also light colored hair Im white top floor so you cannot see it but its there, its crazy. If I would have known it was this good I would have spent the extra money and got the top of the line biggest one they had , but I wasnt sure so $599 was enough . if I ever need another one I will be getting another Dyson. this is by far the best vacuum I ever owned. If anyone else says anything different they are nuts.

> 3 dayI just sold a year-old Miele C3 to get this and Im glad. The Dyson seems to have better suction power on hardwood and carpet. Its cordless too. That was my biggest gripe about the Miele. Its corded and the cord is SHORT. You had to pay extra for a sensibly-long cord...LOL. Another thing with the Miele is that it rolls on 3 wheels. Id often find it rolling over on its side. Oh, and it used bags too. I didnt bother reading the directions with the Dyson. It was easy to assemble and easy to use. The motorized unit connects to the tube wand and that connects to the actual vacuum attachment that is on the floor. It powers on with one button. Clean-out was just a matter of a simple, physical button as well. The only thing that could be improved is the width of the vacuum attachment so you can clean more area per swoop/glide. That wasnt a deal-breaker for me and Im glad I spent the money on the V11

05-01-2025I was cautious prior to buying this and read all the negative reviews but decided to buy. Glad I did. I wanted to comment on some of the negative comments with my opinion to help skeptical buyers like myself. So, 1. the plastic wall mount base, its not to flimsy. It holds the vacuum great if you slam it around like rubber weights in the gym. 2. If you see my picture I mounted it so its supported with the attachment on to help hold the weight and prevent the bottom from being caught. It has a lot of leverage on drywall anchors if its torqued on, as is anything mounted on sheet rock. I did this for my V7 as well and has worked great for years. 3. Use the right settings for the head when going from carpet to hardwood; the center setting or minus setting (letting in more air) and it works great. It picks up sand, cherries, screws, peanuts or what ever just fine. 4. Its not the manufactures fault there isnt an outlet in your closet. 5. The directions are vague and little under done, but this isnt a complicated item either. 6. Is this the right vacuum is the biggest question of all. I have a V7 for the second floor that is all carpet and it works great for about 1000 sq. ft. of quick clean up and is about $200 less. We went with this for the downstairs because we were too lazy to keep going upstairs and this one worked better transitioning on an off our rugs to hardwood that we on the first floor. We have a 1 year old and teenagers so this was a great addition that quickly and efficiently keep the floors clean for the baby. Im so over swiffer mops that dont really work. 7. Deep cleaning ability is good. We have a Kirby that we use one time a year (just before we have the carpets shampooed). The other 364 days of the year the Dysons do all the work. 8. Battery life, great in this V11. If you need more, vacuum more often or make life changes..lol. Ive cleaned the whole bottom floor and used on the car and still never got below 50% on the V11. The v7 would have needed to be charged at least once for that amount. So that maybe a decision point. Lastly the V11 has been said to be unbalanced in weight and awkward. If you see the second picture and use the attachment holder it offsets the slight misbalance. But really, it is 6 lbs. if that gives you issues get a gym membership, really. Oh and the V11 has a detachable battery that the v7 doesnt. If multiple charges for long runs is what you may need then that maybe a decision point. If not you may want to save some cash and go with the v7. Ive also purchased cheaper model of cordless vacuums but they dont last and preform like Dysons so youll get what you pay for.

> 3 dayI bought a Dyson V10 a few years ago, and I love it. I moved to a new house, and my stuff has been in storage for several months, and my place was just getting too dusty for simple sweeping clean and/or mopping the floors. So I decided to give the V11 a chance. The Time Remaining Meter: Thats a cool feature, but not terribly important for me personally. It was easy to get accustomed to how much vacuuming I could do with the V10 before I had to charge it again. The Real-Time Carpet/Floor Adjustment: Not very impressed with the smart speed setting when rolling over throw rugs, at least. I have tile and wood floors, and only have small throw rugs in the bathroom, for example. It doesnt really register and speed up until Im about 40%-60% done with the 3x5 carpet. I think it would be more convenient if you have larger carpet space to vacuum over. Conclusion: Other than those two additions, this is basically the V10, but revised. Either model is a good purchase. I only had cheap $30-$40 Dirt Devil small vacuums for 20+ years, and got tired of the terrible efficiency. It also was annoying when a model I had would no longer have replacement bags and pieces after a couple/few years. The Dyson was initially something that made me think What the heck are you doing spending this much for a VACUUM?!, only to go home and vacuum my entire place in 20 minutes. I was floored (pun intended), because it used to take 20 minutes to do just the living room! So I recommend considering these models if you want a mobile, not too heavy, and reliable vacuum that is really easy to empty the dust into the trash. The attachments are nice as well, but... ADVICE: Adjust your budget to include the fluffy cleaner head. That is amazing if you have tile and/or wooden floors.

> 3 dayI have been wanting a Cordless Dyson for a long time and i am not disappointed! The battery lasts very good except on Boost mode but that seems self explanatory because it’s going to full power to get deep into your carpet. You get about 14 min at full charge in this mode.

> 3 daySuper easy to assemble and begin using. We have a dog and cat, and this machine is a game changer in our home. Love the fact that I dont have to drag a power cord around, as well. Mounted it within easy use -- so our place gets vacuumed more often. Using the short config for my autos. We are just beginning to get full utilization from the many clever attachments. Thank you., Mr. Dyson!

> 3 dayWe typically just use it one room at a time, but it should be able to last a few rooms. Its also light enough and portable enough to carry up a flight of stairs easily. There are two issues I have with it though. First, its top heavy. Which is obvious, since everything is up top. So, even though its lightweight, for my elderly parents, its not as easy to use. The second issue is more of a design issue. You have to keep your finger on the trigger. Granted its a very light trigger. But when you add in this is top heavy, it easily gets very difficult juggling the weight with the need to constantly pull the trigger. I would have preferred an on off trigger, so that you can hold the vacuum however is most comfortable. As for the vacuum itself. It sucks everything up. What I was most impressed with was how much dust it picks up. Definitely a lot more than my older vacuum. The attachments are also easy to put on, and take off. Emptying the vacuum is easy with the one touch ejection. But definitely empty the vacuum outside in the trash can, as dust does seem to fly around when cleaning it. Other than that, it does whats advertised. Can be used on carpet or hardwood floors. it rolls easy, although cornering takes a bit of work.
