Greater than one weekI recently got hardwood in the living room and thought Id give this a try. Oh my, its wonderful. The box it came in was small but the packaging is so concise, and the parts needed no assembly. Just connect the extensions and youre ready to vacuum! The length is more than enough for the handle and it has a genius way of bringing out the brush if you extend the arms to the end. Thats awesome because I lose those kinds of attachments all the time. This model looks like the first Dyson that was rolled out in the US, but a little smaller and with a little less force and minimal noise. But it does a great job picking up dirt and baked in dirt from my floor and the carpeted stairway was so easy to vacuum with this I wonder how I never used this before in my life. Its concise, the cord auto rewind is always a plus (for me thats a requirement), and it takes up very little space and is super easy to manuever. If the long term use of this changes my first time experience review, I will come back to update this. I totally recommend this for concise vacumming needs, especially for hardwood floors. I love it. ... Update - I just vaccumed my low pile carpet in one room and this again performed like a pro! I am very happy with this and will be my go to vacuum now. The suction power is very good.

> 3 dayMy 7 year old grandson loves using it so much he vacuums all the time. My house has never been so clean. Great purchase. Besides this, we have an area rug that gets lots of sand from people coming in to go to the restroom from the pool. This vacuum gets the sand out in bucket loads.

> 3 dayLast week my expensive vacuum died at a time that I could not afford to replace it with something of like value. I had this in my cart and then instead, I ordered the Bissell Zing because it was cheaper and Bissell donates to animal charities when you purchase from them. I ended up returning the Bissell as the price reflected the extremely cheap quality of the attachments and the suction was so strong, I could not vacuum rugs or dust with it. So then I went back and ordered this. The attachments are definitely of sturdier construction and they lock together nicely, unlike the Bissell attachments. The suction is strong, but not so strong that you cant dust with it. I also like that the dusting brush is attached right to the wand handle, so it easily clicks into place and just as easily releases. This is a good vacuum for the price.

> 3 dayUpdated Review: After struggling with this thing to vacuum my cellar two or three times, I replaced the broken hose on my Hoover and went back to using that on my cellar floor. This vacuum is just too much work for me to use, maintain, and store. Ive retired it to a corner, where it will sit until I can find another home for it. Original review: I bought this to replace my Hoover commercial portapower hand vacuum, the plastic stretch hose on which broke in two at the handle after three years of intermittent use. So, I decided to try something different. The hose on this does not stretch, a plus for me. Ive only used it once so far to vacuum my hardwoods, area rugs, and cement cellar floor. Will take some getting used to. The suction on this thing is phenomenal, due in part to the design of the floor attachment, which is flat and hugs the floor. I read the instructions and experimented with all the settings and combinations on both hardwoods and flat pile area rugs. It works well on my hardwoods using the carpet settings. The hardwood setting hugs the floor too tightly, making it difficult to move. The carpet setting works on no pile area rugs only if you pull the wand towards you. If you try to push it forward, it gets hung up on the carpet, regardless of how you use the settings. It does not work at all on my pile carpets. The hose is a bit cumbersome because its pretty stiff, but Im tall and I can work with it. So, I finished vacuuming and even though the dirt cup was only half full, I decided to empty and wash it. Unfortunately, the dirt cup does not separate from the foam filter housing (you can remove the foam filter, but not the housing), so to wash either one they both get wet. And, when I checked the foam filter, it was filthy and required washing as well. Very cumbersome to work with. Currently, the entire housing and filter are laying in front of my baseboard heater trying to dry. I got this to use on my cement cellar floors, and it appears to be fine for that using the carpet settings. Picks up cat litter, dust, and small debrs. There is a small brush for upholstery, but no decent crevice tool, which I need to clean my dryer screen housing and vents. I do like the retractable cord and that the wand attaches to the machine for storage. I also like that it has wheels and I can easily pull the vacuum behind me. Ill use it for a bit and see if I can work with its shortcomings. I like to keep my vacuum dirt cup clean with each using. Not sure how well that will go because cleaning and drying is a time eater and I have no sink in my basement. Just not a good fit for me.

Greater than one weekSuction power is good for my apartment of one person with a cat. The scratchy material on the edges do pick up the cat hair fairly well, but still think i prefer a vacuum with a bristle roller for pet hair. I do like the light weight pull-behind canister, and the hose does seem to be a bit longer and more flexible than my last upright vacuum. Over all I’m pleased with this vacuum for light duty use, but would like it better if it had a bristle roller for anything more heavy duty. I do like how you can conveniently adjust the suction power easily on the handle area for lightweight throw rugs.

> 3 dayFor years now I’ve been killing upright bag/ then bagless vacuums every 12-18 months. For context I have terribly expired carpet and two long haired cats. I’ve tried everything, every brand, but eventually they all bite the dust around the same time. I decided the try out a canister vac because I grew up with this style in the 80s and I thought that the lack of rotating brush might make a big difference. Boy was I right! First off this vac is easy to carry around and maneuver - no more lugging and pushing. Also - it gets into spaces the upright could never reach. What about the cat hair you may ask? With no rotating brush how does it do with that? It picks it up! And then any extra that gets stuck on the pads on the bottom - I flip it - pull it off and into the tube it’s sucked away. Easy clean up. No hacking at the rotating brush with scissors cutting hair off. The carpet looks amazing. I actually want to vacuum again. The retractable cord is quick and does not get caught up yet. Easy to dump the canister and keep going. Lightweight and flexible. I’m never going back to an upright again. If this one dies - I’ll update you and I’ll be investing in a nicer canister vacuum. Even though we grew up fairly modest there was reason my Mom had an expensive canister vacuum- it just took me till my mid-40s to figure it out! This is a great investment for a first time canister vacuum. So far so good!

> 3 dayAm I right? Well, it’s what my wife wanted, and we’ve loved it so far. Great vac. It’s sucks up all the dirt. Gotta be careful around our mini long haired chi. Almost got him stuck in the canister…. That last part was a joke. Enjoy your vacuum cleaner.

> 3 dayFor a cheap vacuum this works very well. My only concern will be the plastic parts and how well they will stand up over time. But so far this does a great job.

> 3 dayGreat, not too loud, does a good job! Only down is the vent part on the handle should be more hard to move. I keep hitting it with my hand, and cord could be longer
