> 3 dayI had a robot3 and for a couple of years and got very frustrated with it. It would stop and say drop off detected when it was on a perfectly flat floor with no drop off anywhere in sight. Sometimes I would find it in the middle of a room just going aimlessly in circles. It would go into a corner and just get stuck. Took a long time to get finished. I got the robot4 and what a huge difference. It does not get lost, it does the whole house pretty quickly (1 story, 3 bedroom). It also does not get stuck on anything. They must have upgraded the software and improved the sensors. I am very happy with the robot4 and its overall performance.

> 3 dayIt took a while to get a map and once complete it seems more confused than ready to clean. It’s constantly running around ‘thinking’ more than cleaning it seems. I wish it had a remote where I could help it out like my last one did! Overall for the price and comparing my first brand (Deebot) I don’t think it’s far superior other than self cleaning.

> 3 dayThis is probably my first 1 star review on Amazon. We were so disappointed. We had an Ecovac w 2 brushes that worked amazingly. It would only get stuck if it climbed over a cord or bulk that it couldnt get over. This roomba only has 1 brush and stops if theres anything AT ALL in the eay. A line needle or piece of a leaf and rooba cries for help dies in place and after 2 months of owning this overpriced piece of junk, we have yet to get it to clean a sinlge room! It has all the bells and whistles but cannot do its basic function. I thought we would try out the name brand and we are very fisappointed. The only reaspn we replaced our ecovac was because it was an older model thst did not work with 5G at our new home. Will never buy roomba again.

> 3 dayI’ve only had it plugged in for a day, and when I hand carry it to an area for it to clean, it does a pretty good job. When I first plugged it in, it cleaned the same 3 ft.² of my kitchen four times. There was nothing blocking it, it just kept doing the same area over and over. Vacuums are always going to be loud, and the Roomba itself is relatively loud. But when it empties the receptacle, it sounds like a plane taking off. As suggested from the app you have to download, I’ve been trying to get it to make a smart map of my house, which has four bedrooms. It never gets past the living room, before it just stops with a red light error. I wish the manual explained what all the errors are. It will just say error 69. Or error 99. I just hit the clear the button, and it will start again. Without the map, I can’t set it up like I intended. Hopefully in the next few days, I can get it working as I hoped it would work.

> 3 dayWhen my husband told me that he ordered this, I was skeptical. However, after not having to sweep my floor on my own for over a week, I am sold. It does not tear up my rugs, it picks up the smallest of particles. The only thing that has been complained about was by our little who got mad it sucked up some of his coins off his floor. :) Overall, it is a wonderful addition to my household and I would purchase again.

> 3 daySuction is alright and moves around okay. Super details below if you wna keep going. I think it is cool for daily, but I would definitely say you still gotta do your floors depending on the level of traffic. I use this daily but will also sweep daily. The mapping is alright but the vacuum constantly is stuck even when all stuff out the way. I have remapped several times. It does get annoying that I cannot have this run while I am at work, I have to be present in order to utilize.

12-04-2025Some online review says, this is the same Vaccum as i7 or i6 except the camera. It probably is the case but the difference in performance is huge… this has gotten stuck over the edges of a cliff a couple of times (did not fall) and 1 out of 5 times it cannot find its way back home. That’s why 1 less star. Does excellent job with dog hair, sharp sucks comparatively. Battery life is superb… Lastly do not buy Amazon warehouse deals… the i6 I bought from warehouse deals has gone useless after 3 months because it won’t even start.

08-04-2025Generally Im a fan of Roombas. This isnt our first one, but an upgrade to an older model which has been reassigned to a different space in the house. This one caused some real setup headaches, unlike my prior Roombas. If you search Roomba i4 problems with Eero wifi youll see multiple discussions (Reddit, etc.) where this model just DOES NOT WORK with Eero 6. Some people have figured out workarounds by manually changing network settings, but that didnt work for me. Ultimately, I set up a separate hotspot for this Roomba - otherwise it would not connect to my Eero and thus wouldnt complete setup in the iRobot app. Overall, the setup process was fiddly and full of trial and error. Reminded me a lot of what it was like to configure new PC hardware 30+ years ago. And thats not a compliment.
