> 3 dayWe, or rather I, named our robot Sancho Villa not sure why, it was just the name that popped in my head when prompted by the app. We have two dogs, one of which is a golden retriever, and two young kids and travertine tile floors throughout most of the home. The robot does a great job of keeping the floors relatively clean, which if you know anything about golden (or young kids) is no small feat. It’s a bit loud and takes quite awhile to vacuum the entire home but that’s a petty complaint. So far, so good on the mapping and being able to tell the robot to vacuum the kitchen or whatever other room. (FYI - you can designate/name rooms in the app). Last tip, if you get an error notification from the app and you need to pick up your robot, try to put it back as close to where you picked it up as possible or your robot will get lost and meander aimlessly through the house trying to figure out where it’s at. Expensive but worth it. Oh….buy extra vacuum bags and side brushes right away. Would recommend the factory replacement rather than 3rd party stuff.

> 3 dayI bought this vacuum at a Black Friday price. I was skeptical when I first put it into service. It got stuck in several places in my home, but after I blocked those places the vacuum has performed very well. My home is about 2,200 square feet with a mix of tile, vinyl plank, and carpet and the vacuum handles them all well. Im glad I bought the i4 with the larger battery as the vacuum has to stop to recharge about halfway through the job, which takes about 4-4.5 hours. The cell phone app makes it easy to setup and control the vacuum, plus you can see the cleaning history including maps of each job. The edges of rugs sometimes turn up and cause the vacuum to turn in another direction, but it gets covered in another pass of the vacuum. Cleaning power is good overall, hair and larger pieces dont seem to bother it much. Overall, very pleased with my purchase!

Greater than one weekI’ve only had it plugged in for a day, and when I hand carry it to an area for it to clean, it does a pretty good job. When I first plugged it in, it cleaned the same 3 ft.² of my kitchen four times. There was nothing blocking it, it just kept doing the same area over and over. Vacuums are always going to be loud, and the Roomba itself is relatively loud. But when it empties the receptacle, it sounds like a plane taking off. As suggested from the app you have to download, I’ve been trying to get it to make a smart map of my house, which has four bedrooms. It never gets past the living room, before it just stops with a red light error. I wish the manual explained what all the errors are. It will just say error 69. Or error 99. I just hit the clear the button, and it will start again. Without the map, I can’t set it up like I intended. Hopefully in the next few days, I can get it working as I hoped it would work.

> 3 dayI was so excited to finally splurge on a Roomba - I have two dogs and live where fir needles are a constant in the house. After running it the first time, my excitement died down. My roommate and I agreed that it was a good in-between cleanings vacuum. Something to help keep the amount of needles down, but if companys coming over we need to use the upright vacuum. Weve used it a handful of times now, and yesterday was the worst run yet. It missed large areas of some rooms, while going over others 3-4 times. It definitely does not do straight lines! I wish I could elect to do specific rooms, but I wasnt ready to spend that much for those models. I dont know that I would purchase it again, but I will continue using it for the in-between cleanings.

> 3 dayThis series is the only few vacuum robots that are not made in China and doesn’t have a camera spying on you. It can also cross thresholds reliably.

> 3 dayThe vacuum works great. Got lost on the first try at mapping my house. The map shows great in iOS, but will not work on my Android. Being able to create rooms and combine spaces is great, The battery life is excellent. Not having to empty the vacuum when it finishes is a plus.

> 3 dayThis is the fourth Roomba I have purchased. This is likely the last Roomba I will ever purchase. I bought it for the self-emptying feature so that I didnt have to remember to empty the bin every night. I also liked having a smart map so that I could schedule it to clean different areas of the house each day. The battery life was also longer than the previous robot, so, between scheduling smaller areas and the extended battery life, it would fun for a much shorter period each day. Well, it all sounded great until it came to actually performing. Some days it would back off the platform while turning get stuck--no cleaning those days. Other days it would report that it was stuck. When I came home it would be sitting in the middle of a room with no obstacles anywhere close. Other (many) days it would report that it had rebooted and just be sitting with its light blinking. Most of those days it would report an error with multiple options to clear. I tried all of them to no avail. I bought the vacuum to be a timesaver, not to spend my time troubleshooting a buggy, unstable system. iRobot, Ive enjoyed your products for over a decade. If this is the best you can produce now, Im afraid we will have to part ways.
