It’s been a pretty great vacuum, it’s a little to loud to run while I’m home but it has a nice auto feature to run when I leave which makes up for it. 18 months later running once a week the battery life isn’t what it used to be and having more trouble keeping it running. It’s been well worth it though, I get a lot of compliments on how good the floors look

Roomba i4+ purchased off the Treasure truck listing. So far, a little disappointing. First off, to get it so sync up with the app - ALMOST impossible. Was just about to pack it up to return it and all of a sudden it linked. Not a great start. It did link up with Alexa quickly. A couple other notes, you can only map ONLY ONE room. Holy cow. Really? Thats disappointing. You can name all kinds of rooms, but you only save ONE room. Also, when it returned to the home base it dumped a bunch of crap that it had gathered up at the bottom of the ramp it sits on. It seems to do a fairly good job picking stuff up. It also did really well getting under things without getting stuck, over minor cords and thinner carpets. You do need to pick up shoes, etc. You do need to clear the side brush of human hair. The self emptying part seems to work fairly well, unless that is the reason it dumped stuff at the base .. (?) Then there is the part that you have to look up a use manual. Nothing comes with it. Not even how to empty the base! We use Youtube. Overall, the price was good. But youll need a lot of patience and ability (understanding) about how to get the manual or instruction on how to use. I am on the fence. Not sure I can recommend it just yet. I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful. What a waste of money. I thought I was upgrading from a much cheaper off brand, but definitely not. We have a very simple ~2000 sq ft first floor and this device couldn’t handle it. After over 5 hours of mapping, where it couldn’t find its way through four foot passage ways to the other side of the house, this pile of junk canceled the mapping and disregarded all the data it had collected on its own. Wtf?? It cancelled itself? Disregarded all mapping data it had collected?? How is that possible? And watching it, I can’t believe the way it went about itself. It always made the wrong choose of direction. It was like a child was driving it. I started it at 5pm and found it the next morning dead and half on its base. Makes no sense. It literally couldn’t even align itself to the charging pads. Every time I run it since, it gets lost and can’t seem to make it home. Even when I explicitly send it home. I’ve even gone so far and closed all doors in our house so it has a smaller space and it still doesn’t return home.

I bought this at Christmas 2021. It does it’s job eventually. It does not always go in rows as advertised. It tends to like certain areas more than others. Some places it goes back to multiple times, where other places in a room it goes only once. It does not go back to its base to empty or charge. I am disappointed with those features. The suction is good.

I wish I hadn’t bought this, even with a steep discount. It is terrible! Takes FOREVER to clean about 1,000 square feet of our home. It supposedly has a map of the house yet it bumbles around constantly like a blind mouse. It cannot navigate very well around things like chairs and couches. Seriously, for the money it needs to be BETTER. Jobs take several hours because it can’t figure out where to go so it wastes battery driving around, no even cleaning. So it has to go back and charge before it can complete the job. I’m watching it right now and it isn’t using any kind of pattern or rhyme or reason as it bumbles around my living room. Roomba blew it with this one.

I figured after the length of time this thing has been around most of the bugs would be worked out. Apparently not. I would not recommend if you have a lot of furniture or throw rugs. This may work well for large empty rooms but not much else. Constantly needs brushes cleaned (mostly long hair) and in the middle of certain rugs just detects a drop off and stops. Once you move it to new location near where it was it loses its ability to detect where it is and abandons the job. Cant finish 4 rooms without recharging first, even though I assume thats because of some throw rugs and bumping into things 100s of times. I can understand chairs and things that can move around and be a problem but walls and things like washers and dryers are pretty stationary. Oh well, gave it a try to see where the technology was and apparently they have a long way to go. Dont waste your money.

This vacuum with the auto empty is nice. The gotcha that I would advise is make sure you have 2.4 ghz wifi. This will not work with new 5ghz It was a bear to get connected to wifi and the app will auto disconnect that requires me to restart my phone for it to work. It does a great job cleaning and the empty feature is also awesome. My son has a previous model roomba and same issues. I have a Samsung vacuum upstairs and had no connection issues. That is the most frustrating part of this. I open the app and sometimes it just works and I kick off the vacuum other times the only way to fix is to reboot my phone- I have Samsung Galaxy S20 ultra. But have found many others with same issue by googling. It took me 2 hrs to get the vacuum to connect during setup. I found the trick to finally be a factory reset on the vacuum that let it connect to.my wifi - I have both 5 and 2.4 with smart detect. I even broke those out created separate ones changed connection types it was a bear. And something surprising for how long they have been around - didnt face any connection issue setting my Samsung vacuum on same connections though

iRobot was sent with the regular dust bin, not the automatic disposal compatible bin. Plan on buying the right part to get it to empty on its own, which runs about $70. The robot itself has great suction and does a good job on pet hair.

Dislike how many boxes the package came with and the vacuum is a bit noisy. Other than that, we are pleased with how clean our floor is once the cleaning is complete.

I love Roombas...Ive had 3 over the years, and they are great if you have the right setup for them. Doesnt eliminate vacuuming entirely but really spreads it out, especially in main areas. My problem with this one is that I bought the base that empties itself, and had no idea it requires disposable bags! They are expensive! I would never have bought it had I realized that - I hate dealing with disposable bags, and its completely unnecessary. I would rather dump it out myself. They could definitely design this with something you wouldnt have to replace when you empty it. This just seems like a money grab to me. Save your money and get the version without the self-emptying bin that requires expensive refills every time.
