> 3 dayI bought this to use with my 2nd generation Kindle. I think it is a lot nicer than those goose neck reading lights. The Kandle snaps securely on the device and doesnt seem invasive like the other light I have. I know that sounds odd, but Im sure theres someone who knows what Im talking about :-) The Kandle conforms to the shape of the Kindle, its relatively flat, the adjustable lamp stays in place and shines down the page. It isnt as bright towards the bottom, but thats to be expected. The Kandle burns through batteries so pick up a package of batteries if you get this.

> 3 dayI just got my Kandle to go with my Kindle 3. And for the most part, I think it is just great. - I love how perfectly it matches my graphite Kindle. How wonderful to have an accessory that looks like an accessory, not an afterthought. - I am pleased at how lightweight it is. It adds very little weight to the Kindle and that becomes important on those just one more page reading marathons - For me, the brighter the better. I personally have low vision issues, and to combine the very brightest setting on the Kandle with flexible font size on the Kindle means I can read with ease on all but my worst days. - I have tried other reading lights, although not ones marketed specifically for the Kindle and have been less than satisfied - they were too big, too heavy, too inflexible, just too bad. The Kandle seems just right, the right weight, the right color, the right size etc. - I was especially pleased to find replacement batteries and its own little screwdriver! keeping all this together in the little bag means I will not need to search the house over for an appropriate screwdriver to use! The only thing so far that I wish were a bit different is that when it is clipped onto my Kindle, and pushed down securely, it does obstruct the top line of text a bit, so I find myself gingerly clipping it on and gently sliding it up enough to see all the text on the screen without knocking the Kandle off completely. In glancing through some of the other users reviews, I do not think I am alone in this. This little light is going to make reading when traveling much easier no matter the lighting (or lack therefor) in hotel rooms, campgrounds and so forth.

Greater than one weekReceived the Kandle II today, and Im really impressed! My Kindle Touch was a gift for Christmas last year, and Ive been searching for a light ever since (I have a drawerful of various designs to prove it!). I havent been happy with any of them, and was seriously considering upgrading to the Paper White. Came across this little gem quite by accident and was immediately interested. It was small, no flimsy arm to get in the way or adjust, just clean lines and, I hoped, a good light without glare that would reach to the bottom of the screen. Then I started reading the reviews. I always read beginning with the newest, and Im glad I did. Apparently, when this light was first offered (I read reviews back to 2011), it had several problems, and there were many complaints. However, the reviews from early 2012 were all very favorable. Apparently this company was actually reading these negative reviews and acted on them to improve their product. The light gives a good even light all the way to the bottom of the screen, there is no glare whatsoever, and it clips nicely to the Kindle (with a Kindle cover). I cant speak to battery life, Ive only had it one day; however, this light is so amazing Im not really conerned about it, Ill just make sure I always have batteries on hand. Bottom line, Ill be keeping my Touch for a good long time because of this light. I highly recommend it to all Kindle owners.

> 3 dayThis is the perfect companion for the graphite Kindle! They look like they were made for each other. No more of the goose neck light falling off or having to reposition every time I move.It does get a little darker towards the bottom of the page but not enough to affect my reading. I am not having trouble turning it on when I close it. Perhaps I close it differently than others. I was a little apprehensive about spending so much on a light. I have had a Kindle for a few years and just fought with other types of lights. I bought the Kindle 3 and found all the lights I already had way too big for it so I caved. I am so happy I did...should have done it a long time ago. Very high quality and well worth the money.

> 3 daythe brightness is crap! even on high. low setting is useless. too dim to read in the dark using just this light. i love the design - especially that it folds flush for travel and the graphite is a perfect match for my kindle 3 but it eats through the CR2032 (button cell) batteries and you need a mini screwdriver (supplied) to open up the battery door. very disappointed. perhaps if you dont like/need a lot of light to read by - because plenty of reviewers rave about this product - then try. but i dont like to have to strain my eyes. will have to try another type, perhaps the M edge light that uses AAA batteries (which are more easily available when travelling).

Greater than one weekNot much more to say that others havent said. Its smaller then you might think when compared to the photos on this site, and thats a positive in my view. I have it clipped on the top of my basic model Kindle. It provides more then enough light using just the low-level light setting. You can easily switch back and forth from high to low if necessary. You can read in total darkness without waking your spouse. It bevels up/down to eliminate any glare issues. And the coolest part for me is this; it makes reading more fun. From suspenseful to scary books, it helps create a nice reading atmosphere. For $20 buy it, I seriously doubt youll have any regrets.

> 3 dayI really like the design of this booklight. I had one of the bendy booklights before and it made the kindle harder to hold with one hand and I was constantly readjusting the position. This one provides more light and feels more stable. I would give it five stars except the batteries that came with the light didnt even last me an entire book. The light did come with replacement batteries which I have now used. Im worried that they will burn out when Im on vacation or something so Im going to order more. Im a little frusterated that Im already ordering batteries when Ive only had this item for a week and a half and havent even made it through an entire novel with it.

> 3 dayI enjoy having the light for the Kindle. Im spoiled with my other reader which has a back-light. This Kindle was a win from a website so I didnt get a chance to pick the one I wanted. However, the only complaints I have are these: (1) It is a bit hard to keep settled on my Kindle, and (2) the batteries burn out very quickly. I read more than most people--sometimes all night long. That means my batteries run out much to quickly. It seems the batteries fade quickly. I handled this by ordering a bunch of batteries (25) but it takes 2 to power the light. Otherwise, its so great to be able to read in the dark!

> 3 dayI just received my Kandle II in the mail. I used it the first night and was satisfied. I was kind of mislead that there were three settings when off counts as a setting. I did not notice a huge difference between the two light modes. However,I was surprised at how small and compact the Kandle II is and how nicely it.fits on top of the Kindle. It does not really get in the way of reading. I only wish that the Kandle II would fit better when the M-Edge Executive cover is closed. Over all it does do the job though.

Greater than one weekI was really surprised after receiving the Kandle II on their attention to quality and detail. The packaging was really well done. They provide a little tool, an extra set of batteries, and a nice carrying case for the device. I was concerned when I saw it online that any light attached to my Kindle would cause a significant weight burden and make holding my device less comfortable. I dont know what materials this Kandle is made out of, but it is LIGHT. I have no issues attaching it and reading on my Kindle. The other thing is that it provides nice little felt like protection on the grip so there are no scratches onto the Kindle. The 2 light settings are interesting. I read with either one depending on my eyes sensitivity to light. There is a light drop off which is to be expected, but I am able to read perfectly fine. I really like the device and strongly recommend it to anyone who wants to read when its dark. Also the graphite color matches my Kindle.
