Klein Tools VDV501-852 Cable Tester with Remote, VDV Scout Pro 3 Test Kit Locates and Tests Voice, Data and Video Cables

I have had two Klein Cat testers. Both developed issues with the remote. The contacts wear in the remote and you start getting false open readings in 12 or 78. Klein does not repair OR does not even sell replacement remotes, I was told I had to buy a whole new tester. Buying a second one, shame on me. The remote went bad AGAIN. I bought a Fluke this time.

Connected to a ethernet cable it showed exactly what was wired wrong.

I should buy earlier to save time

Stick with Fluke... Klein used to be quality products; however, this feels cheap and the screen doesnt even work half the time and its brand new. Literally brand new out of the box and doesnt work right.

Excelente producto me gusta lo probé con el cable de red que va al tv y me identifico que el cable estaba más ponchado con razón tenía mala conexión me mide la distancia en metros que me sirve mucho lo único malo es al instalar la batería un poquito complicado por lo demás es una excelente inversión.

Works as described, it has trouble with rj11 4 wire

I ran 10 cat6 cables throughout my house, and when I started terminating them, some worked, some didnt. Troubleshooting was confusing. So, I ordered this, and wow, it make it so easy to find the fault and fix it every time. It even identified one bad cable Id pulled (probably kinked it bad while pulling) with its distance fault detection. Id never run Cat6 cable in my house without this amazing testing tool to make sure the job is done right in the end.

All my 4 rooms are connected through cat 6 cables. Usually when things dont work either I crimp RJ45s or change the cable. Just a while ago one of my rooms went dark (No Internet or Lan Connection). With the Klein Scout Pro 3 The test result stated that the pairs 1&2 were faulty. So instead of paying a lot of money to change the cable I just switched the pairs and the room is alive again.
