Connected to a ethernet cable it showed exactly what was wired wrong.

It seems to be a great tool but it’s hard to learn how to use all the functions and I’ve been doing av for 20 yrs. They have packed to many functions into single buttons. More buttons would be nicer. With that said I’m returning this for another one because shipping smashed the screen and the digital digits are messed up. After receiving second one .’. It all works fine

This unit does what other products 3x its price does. Dropped it 50 feet and, except for a couple scratches, it is perfectly fine.

It does what I need & more. I have wasted too much money on cheap alternatives, so I decided to buy a decent device.

If you are serious about your work, this is a very good tool. I’d recommend getting a pouch or a bag to keep it safe and expand its longevity but it is pretty device rugged already. The tracing feature is so useful to fix lazy installers messes. The coax testing is very useful too. You might want to get the appropriate adapters if you are going to test BNC cables or connections and not just Ftype connections.

Product probably works fantastic but I received a very obviously used item.

Seemed like a luxury I could probably do without as I was only doing the network wiring for my new home (DIY guy, not a pro) but this device saved me what I am sure would have been HOURS of frustration tracking done two wiring issues (one batch 3rd party patch cord and one punch down error on my part).

All my 4 rooms are connected through cat 6 cables. Usually when things dont work either I crimp RJ45s or change the cable. Just a while ago one of my rooms went dark (No Internet or Lan Connection). With the Klein Scout Pro 3 The test result stated that the pairs 1&2 were faulty. So instead of paying a lot of money to change the cable I just switched the pairs and the room is alive again.
