> 3 dayThis is my favorite lego set, after seeing the real one in person and seeing this online I just had to have it. The pictures dont do it justice. It is big.

Greater than one weekIf your new to Lego or want a great show piece or both this is a set worth having. Better to buy it before it’s retired (prices will climb after that). Plan about 25-45 minutes per bag. Boxes ship very well by Amazon so they be in collectible condition when you get it.

> 3 dayLegos are expensive, and there is a reason - they are well engineered and have clear, defined assembly instructions. This set is no different. In fact, this is an amazing set. It went together very well. Just make sure you follow EVERY step exactly, or you will hate life later. There were a couple times I had to back track, which fortunately wasnt too terrible. To go back several steps would mean disassembling parts, and because of the number of steps involved, would be difficult at best to get back on track. This set really is engineered soundly, and well designed. It was a lot of fun to put together, and now it sits on the shelf. I hope to do another one of these again.

> 3 dayThis Lego set is a model of the Saturn V rocket. The Saturn V, which was the most powerful rocket ever brought to operational status, was used by NASA to launch the manned missions to the Moon back in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Also included in this set are a miniature Lunar Module (LM) with astronaut figurines and a depiction of the Apollo command module as it looked at splashdown. I am not a Lego enthusiast and this is actually the first time I have gotten a Lego set since I was a kid. Certainly there is a trend for the past several years from Lego to design and release sets that are targeted more toward the teenage and adult demographic, including this set. Having a long interest in the history of the space program and also having heard this set praised by space enthusiasts on YouTube, I finally decided to get this set for myself. All around, I was impressed with this. To start, the set comes with a detailed instruction booklet. I found that the assembly instructions were very clear and easy to follow. There was no point during assembly in which I was hopelessly confused. It certainly is much more complicated than the kind of Lego sets I used to play with when I was young, but this made the build much more satisfying. The pieces come in twelve separately labeled bags which are used sequentially. This made finding the pieces you need for a particular step quick. It took me about four hours in total to build it. The actual model, once complete, looks great. As is depicted in the pictures and information for this set, the complete model can be broken down into its component stages. Just like the actual Saturn V rocket, this model includes the separate S-IC first stage, S-II second stage, S-IVB third stage, lunar module, and command/service module with the launch escape tower. The model itself is pretty solid as well. Though hidden by its cylindrical-shaped exterior, the interior contains various parts giving the rocket stages solid cores which makes the model, whether displayed vertically or horizontally, stability. Though it obviously shows its Lego appearance close-up, it still looks good as a model, even if it lacks the details and accuracies of a traditional model. Overall, I think this set is great and I enjoyed assembling it. It may not be for small children, but I think that both space enthusiasts and Lego enthusiasts of the teenage and adult crowd would enjoy this set.

Greater than one weekAt $0.06/part and no stickers this set is an amazing value to honor the 50th anniversary of the moon landing. I dont know if I wasnt paying attention to instructions, but I struggled putting the first stage together at times and had to look up speed builds on YouTube for guidance. At a meter tall it has a massive footprint, but if you have space for it, this is one of the best sets Lego has ever released.
