    Greater than one week

I believe I got a defective unit. After install, I could hear the valves opening to allow the water to flow. Problem was water only flowed initially. Newer washer is computer controlled for its water needs. When washer requested more water, none was forthcoming. Did the valve close dont know. Only know the error message was that water was not supplied and washing machine shut off.

Installed this with front loading clothes washer (stacked) on second floor in 2019. In 2022, we had a lot of water coming from soap dispenser drawer (drain for the drawer was blocked), water all over the floor and through the ceiling on the first floor bath below. Not a peep from the sensor. Last week, the alarm started going off, but it did not close the valves and the sensor on the floor was bone dry. We finished the load of laundry. It wont reset, we unplugged it and will take it out, waste of money.

After two years, I discovered by accident that the ball valves would not close. This is a fatal defect. I traced the issue to two factors. 1) A spring is used to close the valve. Since the valve has been open for a long period, the spring is no longer strong enough to close the valve. 2) The controller does not exercise the value on a regular basis. Thus, the valve may end up stuck open or require a very large force to overcome resistance and close. I found a competitors product at the same price which does not have these issues. It is motor driven for both open and close. It has battery backup which solves the power failure situation without using a spring. It opens and closes the valve every 30 days. All really great ideas. Dont buy this valve. Get the one that really stops floods.

The install was faulty easy and straightforward. Tested the valves and they worked. Sensor worked. Everything fine on that side. However, the WiFi module will not work. The status and link lights will not turn on and I cannot connect it to my WiFi. I was without a washer for a while because of a leak and it was a huge pain taking my stacks down and doing the repairs. I haven’t gotten up the motivation to take it all apart again and mail the unit back for the WiFi malfunction.

Installed easy, function tested well. App could not find or connect to system.

Seems to work well when tested with a small amount of water. There must be some internal rechargeable battery that shuts off water if the device loses power, which is a nice feature. The valve boxes stick out quite a bit, and I had to trim some plastic at the top of my laundry faucet box to get them to fit. Besides the main washer, we have a pedestal washer and a steam dryer, which means that there are a total of 3 Ys, 7 water hoses, and 14 washers connecting everything together, so this is nice to have as reassurance in case something leaks.

So we havent had any flooding yet, but i did test it on install and it seemed to be working great. It was very easy to install, and they even included in this kit the extra outlet adaptor that I would need since my laundry room only has a plug for the washer and dryer. That was a super nice touch, as I thought when I opened it, oh $%!%!@, I am going to have to go to the store now and get the adaptor before the laundry installation guy shows up in an hour. The laundry installer guy seemed to think it was a good idea, for what its worth. My laundry room is essentially an adapted closet, so this is SUPER useful in allowing me to turn off the water before going on vacation, as I would not be able to reach the taps otherwise.

Our washer and dryer are on the second floor, so a flood would be a two floor event. This product brings a piece of mind. Installed easily.

Very easy to install, all the equipment you need to install it in several different ways is provided, along with methods to secure and tidy the wires, extra gasket and easy to follow instructions. Very pleased.

To many false alarms, and after a year I can no longer reset to device.
