At first I wanted an outlet that had the thermometer built in with no remote but I must say it’s very convenient to be able to mount the remote on the wall since the temperature near the floor and near the ceiling can have as much as a 5-10 degree F difference. I actually really like that you set heat or cool, and C or F when the remote first comes on and then you remove the batteries if you need to change it because that means the remote is very simple and has only temp control buttons once it’s set up. When you change the temperature if you go above/below the temp you set it will instantly turn the outlet on. It has a high wattage rating which is great because heaters and AC units both use a lot of electricity. It seems really high quality. The things I would improve are: Including a mounting screw in the box Redesigning the back so adhesive can be used instead of a screw Making the LED light dimmer and Switching the temp control buttons so minus is left and + is right.

Works, BUT the hysteresis is a bit wide. It tracks F degrees to one tenth in the display, but won’t turn on or off until beyond your desired temp. So it will turn on just when your getting too cold and turn off after your sweating.

I tested the unit and it took some playing with the controller to figure out how it works and to get readout in Fahrenheit. I thought on and off buttons were to turn it on but is always on if batteries in place and are only indicator lights to let you know if heater is on or off. I like that you can put the remote in the room location that you are trying to warm,

Maybe mine was a defect. Everything worked great but the plug always felt loose. Anything I would plug into it, it just didnt feel like it would grab. I tried bending the prongs but didnt help. Eventually it melted and I had to put it out of commission. Sucks because it was a great product. I was ready to buy about 4 more.

After spending 5 minutes trying to figure out how to change the remote from Celsius to Fahrenheit (you have to refer to the answered questions in this listing, not the manual) I tried to plug in my space heater. It wouldnt stay plugged in. I tried other cords to see if the problem was the space heater cord or the wireless plug and found that nothing would stay plugged in. Since I have a lot of electronics experience I opened up the wireless plug to see what was wrong. None of the three contacts in the plug receptacle were griping the prongs of my plugs nor could they be made to. The material seems to made made of regular brass rather than spring brass and just give way as soon as you plug something in. I need this to control a 1,200 watt space heater and with a loose plug there is too much risk of fire. Im now looking for a different one.

OK to configure and connect to Alexa and Google. Programed my heater for the daily schedule based on time and temperature. Sometimes it shuts off and the configuration completely gets reset. Plugin and configure everything, if the power goes off or the internet disconnects or unplug and plug it back all setup goes off. It may be an issue with Smarthings apps. I will try with Alexa or Google to automat and check.

I use these to control a couple of electric heaters in my garage. To my surprise I discovered that two switches could be operated by one controller. The temperature reads five degrees high. When the unit reads 55 degrees f, it’s actually 50 according to numerous other thermometers

This actually works really well. Perfect for controlling a small space heater in a room. Only issue i had was the contacts inside the plug in were spaced to far out so it would fully hold the cord that was plugged in. I took the cover off, squeezed the contacts together and has worked great since

Two preventable design flaws: 1) instead of making the device wide and short, they’ve made it circular and bulky in a way that partially covers two receptacle outlets instead of one… the thermometer port is also positioned on the bottom of the device in such a way that prevents other plugs from sharing your receptacle. 2) the app has a bunch of poorly labeled settings, random use of underscores in naming, and just feels like it was designed by an engineer and not a designer. Overall, lackluster product for the price.
