It is over all a good monitor , how ever it have a very very poor monitor stand. it does not hold in place .Will have to get a different stand arm to make this thing work . would have give it a 5 star if wasnt the poorly made stand. Worst monitor I have ever seen .

This is an amazing monitor to use for gaming, art, and entertainment. It is life changing going from 60hz 1080p to going to 120hz 1440p. Seeing more frames and having a clearer resolution makes your reaction times in games like Valorant, CS:GO, DOOM Eternal, and other shooters much more faster after getting used to it of course. I also use this monitor as my primary monitor for using 3d modeling software such as Blender. Having a bigger screen means having a bigger workspace for the models and the effects. For other forms of digital art you have a larger canvas to look at. Lastly, for entertainment such as videos and movies, if the resolution of the media can go to 1440p it is great, if not, then 1080p is what you get. This is a great monitor for productivity, highly recommend for anyone for anything!

I got a good deal on this monitor. Wish it would have been complete. Mine was missing the arm for the stand. Seems a bit washed out. But I am not an expert, so a new monitor could be outstanding. Nothing like seeing in person

Very defined picture and is also very easy to setup and use. A definite upgrade for anyone looking for a new monitor for either gaming or work.

The G5 gaming monitor has been a game changer for me. I play COD and I SIM Race. I used to wander who was shooting me from across the map wandering how they could see me and I couldnt see them. Welll, they must have one of these monitors as well because the clarity and colors are so great I can now see them from across the map and my game play has improved just because of this monitor. I know other things like GPUs go into the quality of the picture but just upgrading the monitor alone has been a God send. The sale price was awesome and put this monitor into my pay range, so thanks for that. I havent had any issues with it what so ever. Love it!!

I got this monitor for the black friday price at $290. I had read plenty of reviews and saw plenty of other monitors, but at this price for a 1440p 32 monitor, I couldnt pass on it. Other reviews said there was ghosting and others said there wasnt so I didnt know what to believe. But at the price tag it was too good to pass on. I was hoping I didnt get a bad panel or something. Pros: There isnt a lot of good to say but here are some. 1. In game the picture quality looks fine and you can look past most of the imperfections, but they could be noticeable in darker scenes and in certain scenarios. 2. My panel didnt have any dead pixels or backlight halos. 3. The curved screen adds to the emersion feeling 4. HDR, but refer to the con of the brightness below. 5. 144hz is nice, but you can get that out of other monitors in this category. 6. Supported FreeSync and unofficial GSync works Cons: 1. There WILL be ghosting, particularly a blurring trail behind darker objects. Strike 1. 2. The peak brightness SUCKS. You will struggle to see things and youll always feel like youre not getting the fullest experience. Strike 2. 3. There is a lot of pixilation even when you are sitting far back enough. It doesnt FEEL like a 1440p monitor, but rather like a decent 1080p. Strike 3. 4. The stand was flimsy, but would do for my needs. But I had older cheaper 1080p 144hz monitors that had way more ergonomic adjustments. This is a con, but I could see how someone could forgive it. But with the other cons, it just adds to the feel bad experience. Strike 4? 5. The ports on the back are barebones. There is no USB 3.0 Hub only a USB Service port for updating the monitor firmware via USB. Your options are HDMI, Displayport and Audio jack. Thats it. HDMI is only 2.0 and not 2.1 and DisplayPort is only 1.2 and not 1.4, but you should still be able to achieve the 144hz on either. I tried to compensate by adding the drivers from the Samsung site, installing a calibrated ICC color profile from RTINGS and messing with the monitor settings to adjust the black levels, brightness, contrast, refresh rate, response time, etc. Some of those things helped, but wouldnt make up for the cons. All those reasons added up and caused me to return the monitor. I would take a hard pass on the G5. I wanted the G7 but there was a $200 gap between this and the 27 G7 and $300 gap between this and the 32 G7. Look for something more reliable and with better quality. Dont believe all the Amazon reviews and check other sites like RTINGS and other reliable youtubers. Research will yield a better result. Dont let a good price tag sucker you into a bad decision. This is an open an honest review from an IT guy and gaming enthusiast. Take it for what its worth.

so i got this as a gift to myself and ive been working my butt off to get some new stuff i needed for my set up i honestly didnt want something this big but it works and fits where i needed it and the 32 fits well where i put it and has the foot print of a 27 inch monitor with the curve being so drastic make sure you get a very good arm cause shes heavy and it nearly face planted on my monitor arm a few times so i had to really wrench down the arms mount good it has all the features you come to expect from samsung great quality picture and all my only complaint is they dont have a 1080p 240hz version or that this monitor cant down clock to 1080p 240hz if needed to cause this would take over as my main monitor as the picture quality is great at 1440p 144hz dont get me wrong its just for me as a gamer i just dont know if i would use this as my main on fps games

Screen is great but the pictures showed a curved screen. This screen isnt in the slightest curved. Aside of that the screen looks stunning, might need to adjust the settings a bit as it might be a bit on the darker side but once you do some adjusting, its amazing

Okay. I bought this monitor under the impression that it would refresh at 165hz. If this is so, why is it not going above 100hz??? Edit: Problem solved. I was just using the wrong port. -_- I KNOW IM A NOOB! Colors seem to be just fine for me with a couple minor tweaks. I use ReShade for gaming so this monitor has perfect lights and darks for me. <3

I replaced my G5 Odyssey 49 mini wide screen, with first just the 49 gaming screen (sent back) and now with this. The difference in the picture quality and other features is why I cannot give 5 stars. This is good, not great. No real color definition, but something I have gotten used to by using Samsung monitors. 163hrz is nice but not like the 240. The price difference is clearly why the two are different. So, for the price of this 34 wide screen, it is good.

When it comes to gamer performance, the slightest disadvantage can be the difference between winning and losing a match. With a 165Hz refresh rate, lightning fast 1ms (GTG) response time and AMD FreeSync Premium support, you can be sure that the Odyssey G55A Gaming Monitor won’t let you down on the battlefield. Awe-inspiring graphics with HDR10 uncover the secrets hiding in the shadows with deep dark blacks, luminous whites, and outstandingly detailed resolution. WQHD packs in 1.7x pixel density of Full HD for detailed, pin-sharp, lifelike images. The monitor’s futuristic design looks attractive in any desktop setting.
