> 3 dayThe cable the monitor comes with is an HDMI cable, instead of a DisplayPort cable. This would be fine if this was a 60hz refresh rate monitor, but it is 144hz, which the cable this comes with doesnt support. If you want to make use of the full product, make sure to pick up a DP cable along with this, so you can actually use the 144hz you pay for.

> 3 dayTo start, I should say I got this monitor on sale for $294 dollars on the prime day sale and that is where I am basing my value of the Samsung G5 32 monitor. I saw many reviews as I went to purchase the G5 about ghosting and dead pixels and was pointed to much more expensive monitors that would not have this issue. While I can state that there is a little bit of ghosting, it is certainly not something you will ever notice in a game unless you are really trying to. In regards to dead pixels, I so far do not have any on either of the two monitors that I purchased. Now onto the curve. I was at first worried about the curve as I had only had flat screen monitors up until this point, and I can say I adjusted to the 1000R curve in a matter of minutes. It is noticeable when you are browsing the web, however, I have never received a headache from this. This is just my experience, however, I believe people who are used to curved monitors will have an even easier time adjusting to this. I have already noticed that games feel more immersive with this size monitor paired with the curve, but I do think this curve might be too much for the 27. At full price this monitor does have some competition that people should really look at before making their decision, which includes the big brother G7 Odyssey, I believe that the Samsung G5 Odyssey, with its full feature set of 144hz, 1ms response time, and 32 1000r display will fit most peoples realistic needs as very few games will ever run at 240 fps and with HDR being in its infancy that more expensive monitors offer.

> 3 dayBought 2 of these, as a birthday gift to my self. I was happy at first, then the gremlins started to appear with in a month. I flickers when ever I am on a predominantly white back ground, you see it mostly on the right side of the screen. With in 6 months, the physical screen started to delaminate, from the plastic frame, it started small, but eventually the glue used to bond it to the plastic failed to hold it in place along the top of the screen. This issue leads into my next major issue. The delaminating some how caused the screen to crack right down the middle. Only thing I can imagine is, the bottom is properly glued down, top was not and the difference caused a warping of some sort, and the stress snapped the screen. When this happened, I called Samsung to request a warranty repair, obviously the delaminating issue needed to be fixed, and some how caused the screen to crack on one monitor, and I had two of them, both having the delam issue, I was scared my second monitor was going to crack as well. If you have never called Samsung, to request a warranty repair of a major defect, count your blessings. The gentleman I dealt with was way less than helpful, required me to take photos and text them to him, and then promptly accused me of somehow breaking the screen and it was looking that I would need to pay to ship it back to them so they could quote me the repair costs. Long story short, after arguing with this guy for over an hour to try and get the defects fixed, I was left angry, frustrated, and disgusted to the point I have decided to get rid of any Samsung items I have. Sold my Samsung washer and dryer, gave away my Samsung dishwasher, I have pulled every Samsung SSD hard drives out of my 3 computers and replaced them with better quality ones. I will be giving away the 1 remaining partially broken monitor. This time, I am going with AOC for my big monitors, should have never switched from them in the first place. Samsung is big enough where I dont matter, but if they let their quality keep going the way its going, Samsung will be just another little peon like me. You can do much better quality wise and for significantly cheaper that these G5 models. They are garbage, and for the price they get for them, these things should be flawless. Good luck if you choose to purchase, prepare for disappointment.

Greater than one weekMy first monitor the one that I am keeping is a 5+ for the price. I want 2 displays and every additional one has a true white issue. This is with all settings equal, it follows the monitor when swapping sources. The only difference is the embedded software on the more white one is 1008. The others are 1009.1. It could be that samsung received a batch of bad LEDs or toned down the brightness to compensate for possible early failures? The 3 additional monitors from Amazon may be from the same lot? Any how I could not adjust this out with Gama, color, brightness, contrast, and is a shame. The first monitor kicks! I dont know if I want to go through more returns to get a good one. So bottom line if you order one and the white is just not that white you may be seeing what I have. Yes cables, drivers, widows, graphic cards all have been checked the same source to the good monitor when applied to the others still show the monitors to be off white.

> 3 dayI have had this monitor for roughly 2 months now and It has been great. The picture quality is fantastic compared to my old BenQ (XL2411P) and when compared to friends, it seems to be better and more vibrant. Although this monitor is great, there are 3 big downsides. Biggest and most important, its very fragile and flimsy. I have it sitting on a monitor riser and even typing this I can see the monitor shaking badly. Highly recommended a mount or a very, very large separated surface for this monitor. Secondly, the overall size of this monitor is crazy. The base and legs are 16in-18in across, even vertically is quite long. Not only is this a space issue but it also causes part of the flimsiness I had talked about. Third but not nearly as important, there are some monitor settings that are just missing in my opinion. On my BenQ there were TONS of color and vibrancy options and you could fine tune it so much. With this G5, you still can but there is a hell of a lot less to pick from as far as customization goes. Overall, its great but If you are looking to fine tune it to your EXACT liking, this may not be for you. Overal 7.5/10

> 3 dayThis monitor is an absolute gem. No, its not 4K resolution capable but youd never know it. Its gorgeous, its huge, its curved, and it immerses you in whatever your doing, completely. I have it coupled to my Sapphire Radeon 6950XT via a Displayport 4.0 cable, and it is simply outstanding. Well worth the money.
