This is an amazing monitor to use for gaming, art, and entertainment. It is life changing going from 60hz 1080p to going to 120hz 1440p. Seeing more frames and having a clearer resolution makes your reaction times in games like Valorant, CS:GO, DOOM Eternal, and other shooters much more faster after getting used to it of course. I also use this monitor as my primary monitor for using 3d modeling software such as Blender. Having a bigger screen means having a bigger workspace for the models and the effects. For other forms of digital art you have a larger canvas to look at. Lastly, for entertainment such as videos and movies, if the resolution of the media can go to 1440p it is great, if not, then 1080p is what you get. This is a great monitor for productivity, highly recommend for anyone for anything!

I had previously had a 2x27 Samsung S27D590P dual monitor setup for about 6 years until one of them gave up the ghost a few weeks ago (backlight across the top went out). So I was finally able to have the excuse to upgrade to a 32 with Freesync. Took at a look at the G7 32 but wasnt keen on the severe curve and seven hundred plus price point, then I found this 32 G5 with the same curve, laugh, but hundreds cheaper. Looked to be pretty new, not too many reviews so I took a flier on it. The 32 wasnt even on Samsungs monitor page yet but it was intriguing. When it came and was opened up it was really light to carry and move around. Installation of the stand was dead simple with just a screw on the bottom you could tighten yourself by hand if inclined. The curve actually helped make the fit on the desk a bit more manageable as it wasnt as wide as it would have been straightened out. It overwhelmed my remaining 27 (see pics) and sat higher being a bigger panel. I connected via Display Port (the second cable worked, the AmazonBasics one caused input drops and eventually put the panel to sleep, very weird, see separate review for that). My 5600XT and its Radeon software detected the monitor and switched Freesync on on the monitor itself. Now my main fun use case for this monitor is playing classic arcade games via MAME which Ive been involved with since 1997. Most golden era arcade games output non-60Hz refresh rates so it was AMAZING to finally be able to play these games without tricks to compensate for the non-standard refresh rates. Things like Mortal Kombat at 54.70684Hz and Pac-Man at 60.6060Hz immediately improved as you could observe smooth scrolling and a distinct lack of tearing. Every game I threw at it played silky smooth, so nice. For other tasks its similarly impressive. If you stay at 100% Windows 10 scaling you can get more headroom onscreen than 1080p as this is a 1440p panel. So far Ive been very happy with the monitor, especially at the sub $400 price point. Recommended. (j4.) [Update 2020.11.09] My other 27 Samsung died also recently (both within a month of each other!) So I bought a second G5 and have them next to each other on the desk in a nice extended curve. Nice to have a matched dual monitor setup again both at the same 1440 resolution. Second panel working as well as the first so far, no dead pixels on either thankfully.

I liked the monitor. The screen was cracked when I received it. It had nothing to do with the company. It is a great company. It had to do with the shipping. I guess the shipping associates were rough with the package and just threw it around or something, so I had to return it. I cant really comment on the quality of the screen or picture because I didnt get a chance to see/use it. I did, however, hear that it is great for gaming.

Okay. I bought this monitor under the impression that it would refresh at 165hz. If this is so, why is it not going above 100hz??? Edit: Problem solved. I was just using the wrong port. -_- I KNOW IM A NOOB! Colors seem to be just fine for me with a couple minor tweaks. I use ReShade for gaming so this monitor has perfect lights and darks for me. <3

Bought 2 of these, as a birthday gift to my self. I was happy at first, then the gremlins started to appear with in a month. I flickers when ever I am on a predominantly white back ground, you see it mostly on the right side of the screen. With in 6 months, the physical screen started to delaminate, from the plastic frame, it started small, but eventually the glue used to bond it to the plastic failed to hold it in place along the top of the screen. This issue leads into my next major issue. The delaminating some how caused the screen to crack right down the middle. Only thing I can imagine is, the bottom is properly glued down, top was not and the difference caused a warping of some sort, and the stress snapped the screen. When this happened, I called Samsung to request a warranty repair, obviously the delaminating issue needed to be fixed, and some how caused the screen to crack on one monitor, and I had two of them, both having the delam issue, I was scared my second monitor was going to crack as well. If you have never called Samsung, to request a warranty repair of a major defect, count your blessings. The gentleman I dealt with was way less than helpful, required me to take photos and text them to him, and then promptly accused me of somehow breaking the screen and it was looking that I would need to pay to ship it back to them so they could quote me the repair costs. Long story short, after arguing with this guy for over an hour to try and get the defects fixed, I was left angry, frustrated, and disgusted to the point I have decided to get rid of any Samsung items I have. Sold my Samsung washer and dryer, gave away my Samsung dishwasher, I have pulled every Samsung SSD hard drives out of my 3 computers and replaced them with better quality ones. I will be giving away the 1 remaining partially broken monitor. This time, I am going with AOC for my big monitors, should have never switched from them in the first place. Samsung is big enough where I dont matter, but if they let their quality keep going the way its going, Samsung will be just another little peon like me. You can do much better quality wise and for significantly cheaper that these G5 models. They are garbage, and for the price they get for them, these things should be flawless. Good luck if you choose to purchase, prepare for disappointment.

Screen is great but the pictures showed a curved screen. This screen isnt in the slightest curved. Aside of that the screen looks stunning, might need to adjust the settings a bit as it might be a bit on the darker side but once you do some adjusting, its amazing

I use the monitor for work and to watch u tube video the screen is soft on the eyes. My son has used it for gaming with his xbox,he said that the monitor worked great. The stand is non adustable and feels cheap. I am happy with my purchase
