I bought this for my new gaming pc. I used this as my boot drive along with all my apps. For perspective, Im coming from a pc whos only hard drive was a 1 tb barracuda hybrid from Seagate.

Its fantastic, just be careful when opening because the drive is not secured in place.

This drive lasted long enough to just miss the Amazon return window. It failed with my windows installation and personal files. Contacted Amazon who connected me with Samsungs warranty department. The drive was approved for RMA and was recieved by Samsung on 7/29/2020 via UPS. Followed up via the texted link to track repair status which never advanced beyond recieving the product. Inquired by phone on status after 4 weeks and was told that the drive was not in the padded envelope that I had returned it in wrapped in cardboard for protection. Being that the cardboard was not marked as containing the drive but assuming that logic would tell whoever opened the package that it would be where a small stick a few inches long would be kept for protection, I strongly feel that the drive was thrown away with the cardboard. UPS probably had nothing to do with it. Shortly after, recieved email from the Samsung UPS claims department informing me that an 8 day investigation was taking place with UPS for the lost drive. After 2 weeks and 2 emails to the representative from Samsung on the investigation status, I have yet to receive a response. I tried to call Samsung this morning after their stated operation time for the East Coast on normal business day and now keep getting told that the office is closed before the automated system hangs up. Tried their online chat but all it keeps doing is steering me through pointless questions and I cannot talk to anyone regarding this case.

I have a 15 Retina MacBook Pro that was purchased new (fully loaded) in June 2014 with a 1TB SSD. According to my About This Mac screen, Apple considers this machine a MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Late 2013) and the bottom is stamped Model A1398. A couple months ago, a routine Disk Utility scan revealed corruption on the SSD that couldnt be repaired. I formatted the drive and reloaded macOS High Sierra 10.13.6. A few days after I did this, the factory SSD suddenly quit working completely, and I was unable to boot the machine because it couldnt find a local drive. My neighborhood Mac repair shop couldnt even get the drive to identify itself in a sled attached to another Mac, so something finally went wrong with it at the chip-level, and it failed.

awesome just plain awesome . the performance compared to sata ssd or hdd is night and day NVME puts them to shame . If you have never experienced one its a must .I must say this is one of those purchases I wish I have considered sooner It will drastically increase read and write speeds and boot time . Thumbs up
