    Greater than one week

I love everything about this vacuum! Mapped out my house and designated rooms on the app. I can set it to clean an individual room, the whole house or spot clean from anywhere with the handy Shark app. My floors have never been so clean. I set up no go areas on the app too, so he stays out of my kids rooms. Enter there at your own risk lol. They can vacuum their own room and I dont have to fear of this guy getting lost in their vortex of a room. However, if he does get stuck somewhere you get a notification on the app and you can locate him with the app too. It is also nice not having to empty him, he empties himself and I empty the been every couple of weeks and give him a good clean. Highly recommend this vacuum! Worth every penny, no doubt about it.

I hace been using my shark for months. It works great and it saves me so much time. It cleans well. It makes less noise than my old vacuum cleaner but there is some noise. Not a big deal for me. I love that it saves me time and allows me to keep up with the dog hair. I will definitely buy another one for the first level of the house so I don’t have to move it from second floor to the first.

Overall: For fur-shedding pet owners - This is a great option to keep the day-to-day fur buildup under control, but does not substitute for deep cleaning, and does require removing excess fur buildup on the brushes and rollers every 3-5 days. Let me set the stage: We have two long-haired golden retrievers and they shed a massive amount of fur. We have a mix of hardwood and carpets and if we dont vacuum for a few days we start getting fur-tumbleweeds. We thought we would give this Shark Robot vacuum a try and overall I am very pleased with it. The AI technology is very impressive. It mapped out our 2,200 sq ft single story home in about 25 minutes and didnt even need to run around all of the edges in the space to map out details like island counters, couches, table legs, etc. Since then it has run once per day and we have noticed a significant shift in the amount of fur we are seeing on the floors. It takes about 90 minutes to run through the approved 1,200 sq ft vacuum space in the house. It transitions from hardwood to carpet and over doorways without issue. Im shocked at how it can navigate under side tables and couches that have as little as 1/4 clearance on top/sides! It has ventured into rooms when doors are left open that it wasnt mapped to go into on occasion, which is my only knock on it. As expected, I have to flip it over and cut the dog fur thats wrapped around the brushes out every 3-5 days. If we didnt have pets with long fur I cant imagine Id ever have to do this and have had to clean fur from brushes on even the most expensive or regular vacuums. This so far (after 1 month) has been well worth the investment!

This has definite improvements in navigation from the older models. This robot goes right to the correct room to vacuum without bouncing off walls and furniture. It is louder than the older model.

Ive been using our Shark AV2501AE for a little over a year. My home is mostly hard wood floors, with one carpeted bedroom. While it seems to clean very well on the carpet, it needs to be put into maximum suction mode to be very effective on the wood floors. This causes the battery to deplete faster which usually requires it have to return to charge before finishing all the rooms. I should also note that it makes fairly slow progression from room to room. If youre not home while its working, it wont bother you. I work from home, so I notice how long it takes. In our home, the first floor is around 1,800 sq/ft. It makes two trips with a charge in between. The total time vacuuming is around 2 hours. Here are the pros/cons that Ive experienced: PROS It attempts to get every inch of floor, so its pretty thorough when it works. You dont have to vacuum yourself. Self-emptying bin at the base is great! Bin is easy to empty as well. CONS The app has frequently lost the map of the floorplan, the room border designations or both (customer service had me factory reset the vacuum and reinstall app, but it still happens). It isnt able to clean corners very well or wall edges that have cabinet overhangs. It frequently gets stuck and needs assistance to keep moving. Sometimes it leaves random areas of rooms uncleaned. It picks up hair it gets wound around the spinning brush. You have to unscrew the cover plate and remove the hair from the end of the cylinder brush where it builds up (just human hair here - no pets) I end up using a broom to pull out debris from hard to reach corners and under cabinet edges so the Shark can vacuum them. I also move rugs and obstacles out of the way so that it wont snag on them or get turned around and lose track of where it is. If I wasnt here at the house to baby it, it would be very frustrating. The sad truth is that if I just swept and vacuumed myself, I would finish in less than half the time this Shark takes. If you want something you can just schedule to vacuum and forget while youre at work, I would look elsewhere.

We have messy kids and a sweet dog that sheds constantly. This robot vacuum keeps our floors virtually fur and debris free. It does a great job navigating obstacles and even cleans well around our kitchen table and chairs. It does take several hours to complete its cleaning of about 1200 square feet and needs a ~2 hour recharging break in the middle. It works well on rugs, carpets and bare floors. The AI and obstacle learning is surprisingly sophisticated. One of our kids feeds it scraps of paper occasionally and tells the vacuum that it is doing a great job so you can thank her for staving off the coming AI takeover (just kidding). This vacuum is amazing.

We have had this vacuum for awhile now and it works pretty well. Its a great alternitive for sweeping. The mopping function also works well and even with having to swap out parts and adding water its still better than traditional mopping. We have two cats that make hair a constant problem. Running this every other day makes the hair go away. It works better on tile than carpet but still not bad on carpet

Have owned a self emptying Shark robot vacuum for a few years. Previous robot started having issues and was offered a discount on same model (warranty had expired). Great customer service experience with Shark. Decided to upgrade to this model with AI. Couldnt be happier with performance. Superior mapping and matrix cleaning technology has helped keep our house with 2 large dogs, and a 2 year old much cleaner than before.

Maps out all the rooms so you can select certain areas to be cleaned. Really does a great job of cleaning with no tangles in the roller so far. 1 week

When I first got it, the option to have it dock after 30 mins of cleaning was on and it was taking almost a full day to clean my 1900 sq ft home between cleaning and charging. In fact, I was in the process of returning it because of this. However, once I realized what the issue was and shut it off, it was better. Even still, it will only clean about an hour before the battery runs low and it has to dock. After an hour of charging, it will then will start again and finish the rest of my house in the next hour. I still dont get the inefficient cleaning pattern it chooses because it will clean one room then all of a sudden go across my house to clean another room only to have to make a bee-line back to the first room to finish. I used to have another unknown brand that I loved but it was damaged by a dog toy that clogged the roller and damaged the part that holds and spins the roller. After about a month of research and comparison shopping, I chose this model based on the reviews and the features it had. It does a good job and eventually it will clean the house over a 3 hour period - so its good for now. Pros: - Good suction - does well with pet hair; I have 3 dogs and a cat - The self-empty feature is really good and not as noisy as others while emptying - It does eventually clean every area of my house, well - Back and forth cleaning pattern vs. bump and go - Always finds its way back to the docking station - Handles all my rugs well without getting stuck, dragging them or folding them over. Cons: - Battery life stinks - App is terrible - I have to log in each time I open it. Plus, it does not show you real-time information - it is only available after it docks.
