Greater than one weekWe have messy kids and a sweet dog that sheds constantly. This robot vacuum keeps our floors virtually fur and debris free. It does a great job navigating obstacles and even cleans well around our kitchen table and chairs. It does take several hours to complete its cleaning of about 1200 square feet and needs a ~2 hour recharging break in the middle. It works well on rugs, carpets and bare floors. The AI and obstacle learning is surprisingly sophisticated. One of our kids feeds it scraps of paper occasionally and tells the vacuum that it is doing a great job so you can thank her for staving off the coming AI takeover (just kidding). This vacuum is amazing.

> 3 dayI researched and studied and tossed it back and forth in my mind forever….. and now I feel stupid because this f’n thing is amazing! I have a dog and a cat and Steve (I named it Steve) has gobbled up every strand of fur there is. There is also something incredible about the carpet ALWAYS having nice straight clean vacuum lines! I’ve already bought another one for my downstairs! One will do both levels but I’m too lazy to carry it.

> 3 dayI took advantage of a recent mega sale because we had been debating getting a new one after gifting the previous to my elderly mom. The previous and first robo vac we bought (Shark AV752 ION) did pretty well. It was a bit like drunk jar jar. Bumbled around loudly slamming into things, occasionally got hung up on thicker shag carpets, would roll over and get stuck on something when the cliff censor got lifted. So far this one is much better. Im not sure if its worth the $600 full market value. I really had to knock a star off because of the full price tag. In the end i suppose this is technically mid tier for the product type. Pros- bumping is reasonably quiet and is more easily triggered, manages to find its way back to the dock with ease (despite not having the full clearance they recommend), the mapping makes sure it gets everything in a timely manner. Cons - This is so loud. It is a vacuum though and i dont use it on the quietest mode. The dock is almost the loudness of a full upright vacuum. You will not be able to place this anywhere youll be relaxing or taking calls. But the robot itself is loud, just not that loud! The robot could be more effective at pathing. Its got some weirdness with pathing. It doesnt consider mapped obstacles when cleaning and still tries to hug around them like its looking for an opening. It is good about obstacles generally though. It was able to roll over a slightly wrinkled up towel without gettjng stuck. The wheels are definitely bigger than my old one which is clearly a good thing. Its also been a little unpredictable on timing. For example today it docked after under an hour and must have done a full charge because it randomly started back up after another hour charging. The laser top is definitely great, but is a notable bump up on the top. I could also see small hanging looped cables possibly getting stuck on it. The app is.... okay. Your no go zones and rooms have a minimum size, which makes blocking off sections of a room difficult and hallways cant be designated. If you move the dock you have to completely remap, there is no recalibrate. When zooming and moving around the map its easy to accidentally move a room designation square. Oddly i can only pick 1 or 2 rooms for spontaneous cleaning cycles and i cant block off a room except when requested. It would be nice to say only allow manual sends to office

> 3 dayFor the price and the reviews I expected a lot more from this bot. There are almost no directions with it. It only maps one floor. So probably works great if you have only one floor. But if you have more than one floor what customer service told me is you have to turn the machine off, carry it to new floor, and start it not from the app (or it will mess up your map), but just push the clean button. Then on any other floor but the main one it is not a smart robot. It just bounces around randomly until it decides it is done cleaning and then stops and says it cant find its base. In my experience of almost a month it misses entire rooms. I would rather have a robot without the self empty base that is smart no matter where you put it and cleans the whole house. I had a Neato D85 for years before this and it did that. No app, no mapping, but who cares? What I care about is my house getting clean and this bot is not doing it. Have two more days to return, but I got it on sale and cant afford the one I really want- Roomba i7+.

> 3 dayI dont know what i did before we had Carl. Carl has become part of our house, one dog dont care, the other dog runs away from it, and the cat attacks it, but even after all of that torment Carl sucks it up and keeps cleaning. Sometimes Carl gets a little drunk and runs in circles, but for the most part does an amazing job at tracking its routes and cleaning in an efficient manner.

> 3 dayGreat for hard floors, kinda iffy on our low pile rug. We bought it to reduce the sweeping and vacuuming needed on our hard floors so its performing as we need it to. We have a 5yr old boy and a dalmatian so dirt and dog hair are forever on our floors. The tank says it can hold 45-60 days of debris but we can only get 7 days out of it. I guess that shows how much its really working. As per other reviews, it does get a lot of scratches. I even put felt furniture bumpers on it to prevent the majority of them but its still somehow managing to look like its 2 years old after a month of use. All in all it does what I need it to and I would recommend it to a friend or family member based on its current performance.

> 3 dayOverall: For fur-shedding pet owners - This is a great option to keep the day-to-day fur buildup under control, but does not substitute for deep cleaning, and does require removing excess fur buildup on the brushes and rollers every 3-5 days. Let me set the stage: We have two long-haired golden retrievers and they shed a massive amount of fur. We have a mix of hardwood and carpets and if we dont vacuum for a few days we start getting fur-tumbleweeds. We thought we would give this Shark Robot vacuum a try and overall I am very pleased with it. The AI technology is very impressive. It mapped out our 2,200 sq ft single story home in about 25 minutes and didnt even need to run around all of the edges in the space to map out details like island counters, couches, table legs, etc. Since then it has run once per day and we have noticed a significant shift in the amount of fur we are seeing on the floors. It takes about 90 minutes to run through the approved 1,200 sq ft vacuum space in the house. It transitions from hardwood to carpet and over doorways without issue. Im shocked at how it can navigate under side tables and couches that have as little as 1/4 clearance on top/sides! It has ventured into rooms when doors are left open that it wasnt mapped to go into on occasion, which is my only knock on it. As expected, I have to flip it over and cut the dog fur thats wrapped around the brushes out every 3-5 days. If we didnt have pets with long fur I cant imagine Id ever have to do this and have had to clean fur from brushes on even the most expensive or regular vacuums. This so far (after 1 month) has been well worth the investment!

> 3 dayI run my shark everyday. My carpet has never looked better. Not quite as good as my upright vacuum but I would rarely vacuum like I should.

> 3 dayLets do this Pros: Coverage, so far its gotten every corner. Plus it does vacuum in rows so you can see what it misses. Self emptying, its good with a couple flaws on this point. More on this later. Noise level, depends on the setting, in the app it has 3 settings and buried deeper it has one additional setting. Eco, normal, and max. The more buried one is simply Ultra clean which only works when set to clean a zone or room. Durability: cant say since its its only been working for about 10 days at this point. Ill update the review depending on results in a few months. Cleaning power: So far so good its working well, even though we have a medium dog with semi long hair. Its been consistently able to clean up after her shedding. Cons: the bottom of the catcher does need to be cleaned about 1 time per week. Simply flip it over, unlatch the spinning brush, then reach in and clean out the comb that catches the hair and debris. Also empty the bin, it says 60 says or so. However, were just doing it weekly to prevent it getting full. Also, the app could use some work, it tends to freeze up occasionally while its running. Conclusion: we have a Roomba from about 2-3 years ago. Its done well by us but its been dying from all the dog hair. This shark doesnt have a problem with the hair at all. Weve decided to use the Roomba upstairs where dog is not allowed and doesnt go, while the shark handles downstairs. So far, its been rock solid.

> 3 dayVacuum works well. Cleans as well if not better than any manual vacuum we have owned. Still a challenge to handle all the pet hair but this is not a surprise given all the fur my dog puts out. Mop feature works well with good cleaner.
