This little guy is so great. It was easy to set up, and made a map of our main floor that was surprisingly good after just one run. The battery life is pretty decent and the suction level must be good cause he hasnt missed anything yet! He looks like a lil trilobite swimming about your home. He makes a soft whirring sound as he goes about, but I find it a pleasant sound, and its nice to know if hes coming up behind you. Hes a bit loud when empties, but it only lasts for 4 seconds so whatever. Hes only gotten stuck once in the last 6 weeks of daily use, and that was on me for leaving out small Halloween decorations on the floor. I agonized over which brand to buy, but I have loved my upright Shark vacuums in the past, and for half the price of some other brands I figured it was worth a shot. No regrets! Minor issues: For the first week, he ran himself at 3 am instead of his scheduled 9 am. That was a bit of a shock when he emptied in the dead of the night. But after resetting him to factory settings, hes agreed to clean on schedule. He did get disconnected from the internet once, but I was able to just re add him again to the app and delete the old one and everything is fine again! Lastly, it doesnt really work great with Google home, as far as voice control goes. This seems to be a Google issue rather than the robot, so maybe theyll fix that in the future. Maybe. If you went Google home instead of Alexa like your friends, you probably know exactly what Im talking about. Overall, its absolutely worth the price and Ill never go without again!

Great technology and will limit how much you use the full size vacuum, depending on traffic patterns and pets. However the Shark App is buggy and the app support is poor; called on a Thursday, the level one person could not resolve a registration problem, it is now Tuesday night and have yet to hear from Shark... Without the app you can use the robot but would asssume it was designed to learn via AI which would greatly improve what the vacuum can do through learning.... I will report back after Shark support gets the app working..., overall the technology is still emerging but is still impressive but comes at a high price. Cant wait to see were appliance robot technology is in a couple of years.

For the price and the reviews I expected a lot more from this bot. There are almost no directions with it. It only maps one floor. So probably works great if you have only one floor. But if you have more than one floor what customer service told me is you have to turn the machine off, carry it to new floor, and start it not from the app (or it will mess up your map), but just push the clean button. Then on any other floor but the main one it is not a smart robot. It just bounces around randomly until it decides it is done cleaning and then stops and says it cant find its base. In my experience of almost a month it misses entire rooms. I would rather have a robot without the self empty base that is smart no matter where you put it and cleans the whole house. I had a Neato D85 for years before this and it did that. No app, no mapping, but who cares? What I care about is my house getting clean and this bot is not doing it. Have two more days to return, but I got it on sale and cant afford the one I really want- Roomba i7+.

It mapped my house within 2 or 3 runs. It starts up at its scheduled time and runs until depleted, charges, and then goes back out until the entire floor is done. I have 2 Huskies and this has been a lifesaver. Now, I only have to worry about the occasional corner or hard to get to areas and the couch. The only things that have stopped it so far were an errant sock and my shirt stays. I keep the floor mostly clear, but it just goes around most things when they are left around. (provided they are big enough for the sensors to detect them.) For reference, this is my 4th robot vacuum, the 3rd generation of Shark, the 2nd with self-emptying, and the 1st one Im happy with.

I literally never review stuff, but I am so glad I bought this vacuum. I bought the Shark AV2501AE AI Robot Vacuum with XL HEPA Self-Empty Base. It mapped my bottom floor pretty quickly. I like that it stops to empty itself and then goes back to cleaning. The app was easy to use and I was able to name each room. I didn’t give it the 3ft space on the side of the dock and it still found it’s way back to the dock. It took about 1.5 hrs for first time cleaning of office, kitchen, living room, master bedroom. So far I’m pretty happy that I bought it.

Love the features in the app. You can label rooms, map out “no-go” areas. You can set it up to empty when it’s full, even if it’s in the middle of a cleaning; if the battery runs low in the middle of a cleaning, it will return to the base to charge and pick up where it left off as soon as it’s charged. Very hands off! The only down side is you can only select specific rooms if you manually start. You can’t set a schedule by room. I would love to run it every day and do certain rooms on certain days. But in the scheduler, you can’t choose certain rooms, but a time and it’s runs all of the rooms.

26 minutes, mapped the whole house. No errors. Doesnt bump into thing, which previous version did until it broke three bumpers. This one is louder. But does a great job. Working with Alexa is not great I give it a room to clean, then it clear the whole house. The app works perfect They should put a small piezoelectric spk that runs on a button battery for locating the unit when the main battery dies.

We have had this vacuum for awhile now and it works pretty well. Its a great alternitive for sweeping. The mopping function also works well and even with having to swap out parts and adding water its still better than traditional mopping. We have two cats that make hair a constant problem. Running this every other day makes the hair go away. It works better on tile than carpet but still not bad on carpet

Having a boxer puppy this vacuum changed the game forever. This thing gets under most of the furniture and beds. It’s a refreshing feeling to walk around your apt with the floors being crispy clean.

The robot vacuum works well enough however I am underwhelmed with its ability to maneuver obstacles and it sees intake vents on the floor as cliffs and gets stuck (I had to make no-go zone around the vent). It also gets stuck on the objects on the floor that it should maneuver around. We like to schedule it to run at night but most nights it cant complete its run and we have a very obstacle free house. But the app is beyond bad. The history randomly wont show the map so I dont know where it has cleaned, you can only schedule once a day, and the notifications really dont tell me much (they seriously say the word cliff). This is my first experience with robot cleaners so maybe my expectation is too high but I am underwhelmed at best! But I am tempted to return it and see if the iRobot is just a better product.
