> 3 dayAfter a couple months with the Shark, I can safely say this: its great for daily carpet maintenance. Its quiet, thorough, and at max power the vacuum gets...about 90% of whats in its path. Is that disappointing? Not really. This is my first robot vacuum, and running this guy 5 mornings a week has my carpets looking cleaner than ever. It rarely gets stuck, has never gotten lost, and the base really does hold weeks of debris without needing emptied. Overall definitely worth the purchase. Some other quick takeaways: - If you have multiple levels (stairs) in your home your options are to either get multiple Sharks, carry it down to the level away from its base and manually start it (itll do the room, and return to where I started), or install a Roomba ramp. We went with the latter (pictured), and the little guy finds his way down to the living room each morning. - Itll get hung up around any obstructions lower than 4 inches or so. It eventually finds its way, but watching it bump around can be frustrating - The mop. Utterly useless. It basically vacuums while shimmying a wet microfiber cloth behind it. When the mop is installed, any carpet will get it stuck, so youve got the designate no-go areas. Filling and cleaning the reservoir is as much if not more hassle than filling a mop bucket. Its a Shark 1-in-1 for me. - Deep clean is cool. Drop it where you need extra cleaning, and itll work a 5x5 grid front and back, side to side. - The app is pretty cool, letting you visualize what the Shark sees and where it goes. You cant see where it is in real time, and can only schedule one cleaning per day, but otherwise it does everything I need. Overall, if you want a decent robot vacuum and love those fresh carpet lines daily, Id say go for it.

> 3 dayThis robot arrived a few days ago and I promptly set it up. It had no problem connecting to my eero mesh wifi, which supports 2.4 ghz as well as higher bands. The app setup was easy, and it did a good job mapping the floor. Then I sent it off to clean. The first time through I had to manually pull out all the hair and dust that it accumulated, despite using the setting to evacuate and resume which is supposed to empty itself more frequently. After that it has empted itself fine, and collected a TON of debris. One issue with the robot itself, I picked this model because the self cleaning brushroll was supposed to avoid getting tangled with hair, which is the bane of my existence with my upright vacuum. But no, I have to manually remove hair from the brushroll. Fortunately this is fairly easy to do. Other issue is with the app. There is an extended clean setting where it is supposed to just keep going and going until it has to recharge itself. But this setting would not turn on. I contacted support and they said they would have to perform a firmware update. This happened automagically and the next afternoon the setting worked fine. I wish there was a simple option to relocate the dock in case we decide to move it, but it appears that I will have to delete the map and run through the explore cycle again to do so. I think it is very dumb that you cant map multiple floors with different home locations if you want to relocate the dock to another floor and have it focus on that floor for a day or so. I put it in my basement but the layout is very different and it will clean awhile but eventually get lost. Also that carpet is pretty new and theres a lot of carpet fibers that need to be vacuumed, and it keeps getting clogged and the brushroll is covered in hair and carpet. Once I go through it a few times it should be easy to maintain, but its a pain to start, especially without an accurate map. Why not give the ability to map different floors? Seems like a reasonable feature to add. Overall giving it 4/5 because of the issues noted above, but it seems to work very well and the self-emptying feature is pretty great.

Greater than one weekNot easy to use, doesn’t pick up cat litter and hair, won’t connect to Wi-Fi, and dreadful customer service will sum up this review. I loved this vacuum the 1st week I owned it. We share our home with 4 cats so there’s some hair to be dealt with. I was excited about something to keep up with the fur in between my being able to run the “real” vacuum. Week 1 it appeared to do a good job. After that is when the major issue started. The fatal flaw is that hair not only get caught in the brush roller but it also gets caught up in the side of the roller where it attaches. This causes the vacuum to become inoperable until you do something about it. You end up spending a good 10-15 minutes with tweezers and scissors trying to perform minor surgery and remove the wad of hair to free up the roller. (In this amount of time I could have already done 1 room of my house). That’s problem #1. The other major problem is the absolutely horrible customer service they provide. The manual that comes with this is a joke. It basically tells you how to set it on the floor and turn it on which is self explanatory and could be done by my dumbest cat. There is zero information about connecting to Wi-Fi or this type of troubleshooting. When trying to use the app to pair nothing happens. I have tried 8 times. I have used the recommended 2.4GHz Wi-Fi and even tried 5GHz. NOTHING!!! My phone is updated to the latest software version so there should be no reason for this malfunction. I called customer service and read every number off the bottom of the vacuum plus gave a ton more info to a man who said he was transferring me to a service agent who could fix the problem and I would not have to repeat the info I had just provided. I waited on hold for 15 min, (after 3 minutes the “hold music” went dead) and no one picked up. I was concerned my call was sent to someone in a black hole so I hung up and called back. I then had the displeasure of speaking to a lady who had the I.Q. of a carrot and the customer service skills of a honey badger!! She started asking for all of the numbers for the vacuum and I explained to her I’ve already provided this and was just trying to be transferred. She continued to tell me there was no one to transfer me to. She then tried to help and her advice was to do everything that I’ve already done 8 times all over again. (Because the 9th time is the charm???) When I explained to her again that I have already done this 8 times and I’m calling for a different suggestion and some troubleshooting she then told me to turn everything off and back on again. I was aggravated and told her this has to be done to restart the process and again I’ve done this 8 times. She then told me to restart the Wi-Fi. I explained to her everything else was working fine with the Wi-Fi and since I tried to pair it right after it was installed this week and it continued to do the same thing I know that’s not it. She then told me if I wasn’t willing to do what she was telling me she would have to escalate my case and someone would call me back in 24-48 hours. I asked to be transferred to someone else and she said “there is no one else, you have me now”. The app also has conflicting information about how to use the Wi-Fi feature. I have waisted hours trying to make this thing work. The time you put into trying to fix/figure out software issues and picking hair out you could have vacuumed your house. DONT BUY!!!

> 3 dayI took advantage of a recent mega sale because we had been debating getting a new one after gifting the previous to my elderly mom. The previous and first robo vac we bought (Shark AV752 ION) did pretty well. It was a bit like drunk jar jar. Bumbled around loudly slamming into things, occasionally got hung up on thicker shag carpets, would roll over and get stuck on something when the cliff censor got lifted. So far this one is much better. Im not sure if its worth the $600 full market value. I really had to knock a star off because of the full price tag. In the end i suppose this is technically mid tier for the product type. Pros- bumping is reasonably quiet and is more easily triggered, manages to find its way back to the dock with ease (despite not having the full clearance they recommend), the mapping makes sure it gets everything in a timely manner. Cons - This is so loud. It is a vacuum though and i dont use it on the quietest mode. The dock is almost the loudness of a full upright vacuum. You will not be able to place this anywhere youll be relaxing or taking calls. But the robot itself is loud, just not that loud! The robot could be more effective at pathing. Its got some weirdness with pathing. It doesnt consider mapped obstacles when cleaning and still tries to hug around them like its looking for an opening. It is good about obstacles generally though. It was able to roll over a slightly wrinkled up towel without gettjng stuck. The wheels are definitely bigger than my old one which is clearly a good thing. Its also been a little unpredictable on timing. For example today it docked after under an hour and must have done a full charge because it randomly started back up after another hour charging. The laser top is definitely great, but is a notable bump up on the top. I could also see small hanging looped cables possibly getting stuck on it. The app is.... okay. Your no go zones and rooms have a minimum size, which makes blocking off sections of a room difficult and hallways cant be designated. If you move the dock you have to completely remap, there is no recalibrate. When zooming and moving around the map its easy to accidentally move a room designation square. Oddly i can only pick 1 or 2 rooms for spontaneous cleaning cycles and i cant block off a room except when requested. It would be nice to say only allow manual sends to office

> 3 dayGreat technology and will limit how much you use the full size vacuum, depending on traffic patterns and pets. However the Shark App is buggy and the app support is poor; called on a Thursday, the level one person could not resolve a registration problem, it is now Tuesday night and have yet to hear from Shark... Without the app you can use the robot but would asssume it was designed to learn via AI which would greatly improve what the vacuum can do through learning.... I will report back after Shark support gets the app working..., overall the technology is still emerging but is still impressive but comes at a high price. Cant wait to see were appliance robot technology is in a couple of years.

> 3 dayYou can only program one floor. I have a sunken living room and I can’t add that room to the house. Otherwise it works well, although it would be nice if you could steer it with the app.

> 3 dayWhy did I wait so long?! I love our robot vacuum. It is sort of like a little pet that sits in the corner patiently waiting to pick up the crumbs until you give it the command. We named ours Clean Latifah (or Queenie). She does a good job and we just love that it is one less thing to do. My house has never felt cleaner. Now if I could only get her to do the toilets! We got another one for the second story of our home and named her...Meryl Sweep! ;-)

> 3 dayMy new Shark, Roberto, saves me a lot of time! While he is cleaning, I can do other things! The mapping was easy and he seems to get more thorough each time he cleans. I love the hepa filter as we have bad allergies and this is helping eliminate dust. Also love that he empties himself!! Highly recommend!
