> 3 dayI just checked and we bought this model 13 months ago now, so I thought I would share the good, the bad and the meh? For context we have a 1500 sq.ft. home with all solid surface floors. Good: We have a very heavy shedding dog (English Springer Spaniel) and this does a reasonable daily job of getting the hair. It is more convenient than having to hand vacuum every day. Bad: If that seems like a very brief good list , it reflects a growing disenchantment. The longer you live with this the less there is to love. First, it never really does learn your home as advertised. It is just as hard on furniture and walls today as when it first ran. We have started to ask ourselves if the repairs are worth it. Second, it is incredibly glitchy. Cannot seem to stick to an organized approach to its very basic job. It runs increasingly random patterns as opposed to the advertised logical grid. The map needs frequent deleting and relearning. It cannot even stick to a consistent schedule. Since there is no way to manually adjust the time for the unit, it should go by the time in the app. It does not. Online searching shows many other frustrated users but no solution. Which leads right into yet another disappointment; the woefully inadequate support you will suffer. As in worthless. It is also noisy. As bad as our regular vacuum. Speaking of which, hang on to your old one. You will need to use it frequently for all the places that this misses. By the time you tear it apart every week for deep cleaning, fiddle with the very awkward scheduling, try to adjust its power settings and repair damage to baseboards and furniture, you are left as we are, wondering exactly when we bite the bullet and toss this into the trash. In our case, I think the little monster is enjoying its last week. Overall I would not say that we got our moneys worth.

> 3 dayI purchased the Shark during the after Thanksgiving sales. We did not set it up until New Years and what a great surprise. It works great on my wood floors and has no issues with my area rugs. Ive read that its loud, but its not as loud as a regular vacuum so not sure what one would expect. The only time I hear it is when it emptys when it goes back to its home. We do not have pets so I cannot speak on if it works well with pet hair, but I would not expect it or any other brand to pick up piles of hair. That would be something for your larger vacuum. Overall, its a great buy and would recommend.

Greater than one weekI’m on I’ve owned another Robo vacuum before and it was not a smart mapping one,. The bumping into everything randomly was not a very good message, so I ended up returning it. Furthermore, it required me to empty it each time it runs. In the end, it really wasn’t all that convenient. I ended up looking for something that not only didn’t have Mark nothing but that it could empty itself after shopping around for a good value. My research told me to buy this one. This shark does everything, and it requires almost no attention from the user I could almost say that it’s actually a deep cleaning , I cannot believe how much dust catchers each time it does a cleaning. I have mostly carpet and when I walk barefoot on my carpet, I can feel the supple cleanliness of the clean carpet. It’s a luxurious ceilings. I am extremely extremely happy with this purchase excellent excellent value I highly recommend this product.

> 3 dayI wanted to write this review for any other pet owners. My wife and I have 3 dogs and a cat. We have also tried two other styles of robot vacuum cleaner. The first was a bog standard one that used a roller with brushes, etc. It was CONSTANTLY getting tangled up with hair and in the end the roller socket was damaged and I could not find a replacement part for it. The second bot was a deebot vacuum with no roller what so ever. It was a pure suction based vacuum for non-carpeted flooring. It worked great with one catch. We had to go around after it and pick up hairballs that it would leave everywhere. Otherwise it was great. If we had ran it daily I think it would have minimized the hair balls, but one of our dogs would attack it went near her. This vacuum does use a roller, but it robot itself is not as loud as the pure vacuum one. However when it docks and the base station activates to suck out the robots cartridge, it does get a little on the loud side. But its a vacuum and that it is very short lived. After owning it for two weeks I can say that I empty the base station tank about twice a week, and ive only felt that I needed to clean the roller once, as some rather long strands of my wives hair. This thing has been exactly what I was looking for. The scheduling is easy and the app is function and straight forward. I have yet to be able to see the map that its supposed to be building, but the vacuum gets all the places. I will say though that like any robot vacuum you will still need to clean the corners of the rooms.

> 3 dayProduct is a cheaper iRobot, period. For half the price of the leading brand, I get half the cleaning ability. We have an iRobot and this Shark. Both clean the bottom floor and the iRobot cleans afterward. Always has more debris in its container.

> 3 dayI would totally love this vacuum if we lived in a larger area. The suction is mostly great (although, when its going over the hardwoods, it leaves the debris by the rugs). Really, its one of the best robot vacuums that we have had. I appreciate that it maps the house and you can direct it to not go into certain areas. Its also great at maneuvering throughout the house. The largest issue that I have had is that I feel like I spend more time picking stuff up around the house than I would just running the vacuum myself. Overall, the vacuum works well, the suction is powerful, and it really does clean well. I recommend it for larger areas or homes, especially if you have a pet!

> 3 dayGood concept and I got the Shark rather than the iRobot or other brands due to reviews. Not what I hoped. For pet owners, its good at cleaning up fur. I have 3 cats and I was vacuuming every day and emptying half a canister of fur. Got this Shark so I could take a break. What it does not excel at is litter. I use natural flushable corn litter and I have thin litter mats that vacuum up nicely with my Bissell. But this robot thing goes over the mat and just leaves a lot behind. On hardwood floor it is much better but doesnt seem to get it all. The thing likes to repeat clean so it eventually gets up most dirt and fur. It turned itself on in the middle of the night on the first day and I almost boxed it up. Had to do a factory reset to clear the memory since there is no clock setting in the app. The app is basic but user friendly and the schedule function is probably helpful but after that first night I just shut it off before bed. It does get lost if in low light conditions. Sunlight is good enough but you will need to turn on all the lights if cleaning at night. Overall it is just okay for the price and I love not seeing as much pet hair. Thought about returning it but my other half got rid of the box which also had the plastic docking thing for carpets. Ill keep it and enjoy not vacuuming as much. UPDATE: 05/27/2022 Bumping up to 4 stars because it makes me happy! Never looking back! This has become very convenient and my favorite cleaning tool. I may have to run it a couple times a day to get up all the litter but I dont mind at all, and the robot doesnt complain. Saves me soooo much time (and back pain) than traditional vacuuming. Added comments after using it for a while... Just like my regular vacuum, I know itll function better if its maintained regularly so Im still emptying the dust bin about twice a week. The robot itself isnt terribly loud. However, it is when emptying so I cant run it while working at my home office. The sensors on the underside need to be cleaned but not too often and Ive only had to manually open the brush door underneath it twice.

> 3 dayI purchased two of these robots recently. 1 from Amazon and 1 from Walmart. TLDR: Buyer beware, if the unit arrives broken/defective, then you will have to pay for shipping for a replacement or parts even if the product is never used. I was attempting to work with the company as asked before returning to the seller, but had to return to the seller instead. Shark needs to work on their quality control. We understand where are you coming from, however as stated in the conditions of your warranty, when replacing the main body or the unit, customers are responsible for $25.95 plus taxes for the cost of shipping and handling. You can read it at the end of the manual.----------------------------------------------- 1 robot was purchased for upstairs and 1 for downstairs in my basement. Due to recent home repairs I was unable to open my 2nd shark robot until a few days ago. The product was unused, had all of the labels attached, the filter was spotless, and unregistered. When I went to open and charge the unit, I followed the instructions and sat the unit on the charging base. I attempted to register the product and it would not connect. I left the unit charging overnight and assumed the battery was drained. In the morning I attempted again to add the unit to my shark app with no luck. I removed the robot from the base and the lights completely turned off. I placed it back on the charging station and the lights turned on again and continued going from red (no battery) to blue (charging/Bluetooth). After a few more read through of the instructions, I contacted Shark customer service. During my call, the phone agent registered my account (you cant use it unless its registered to the app) so they knew it had never been used. After explaining the issue to me she sent me a video link and we continued the call through their video support. She walked me through the steps (very nice) and in the end determined the unit was defective and/or the battery was bad and would send a new one. After providing her my shipping information she asks me for a credit card to charge shipping fee to. After some clarification she explains that while the warranty does cover defective units, it does not cover shipping costs. I explained I would not pay for shipping on a brand new, unused product which she verified by registering the product to my account and video calling me for tech support. She offered to send a battery instead, but again advised that it will be $25.00 for shipping. I email their support team and am advised the same thing. Regardless of the issue, if Shark has to send a replacement or part, they will bill you for the shipping. It does not matter if the product is new and unused or gently used. Email from Shark Support: ---------------------------------------- We are sorry about this situation with your unit. We will do our best to have this matter resolved. We understand where are you coming from, however as stated in the conditions of your warranty, when replacing the main body or the unit, customers are responsible for $25.95 plus taxes for the cost of shipping and handling. > 3 dayVacuum cleans great. I love that it empties itself when full.
